The latest Angry Birds update (v1.6.3) is now available iOS devices and Android via the Android Marketplace and Amazon Appstore. We will keep you posted as other marketplaces / devices receive this update. Thanks to all the users here who let us know about this. This update comes on the heels of a update which saw the Mighty Eagle finally land in Angry Birds Seasons. The v1.6.3 includes:
- 15 new levels — some of which are very tough — in the final chapter of Mine and Dine (3 star walkthroughs)
- There are be two new Golden Eggs (spoilers in the comemnts below), one hidden, and one for 3 starring all levels of Mine and Dine. Our Complete Golden Egg walkthrough has been updated, so if you need help check it out (the 25th and 26th eggs are at the bottom)
- Looks like the bug preventing users from receiving the Feather Picker and Feather Collector achievements has been fixed, but reports say it can take time to register.

If you are using an iOS device and it is not showing in your AppStore updates, you can manually search “Angry Birds” and click “Install” or “Update”.
So know that mine and dine is finished, the moon festival should be here soon, correct?
GameCenter has already updated the achievements and icon for Seasons: Moon Festival. I think the Chinese early release could land next week sometime (just speculation).
I have 3 stars in all new levels now and also a feather everywhere. I’m trying to get the score addict achievement now.
Well, I have forty five stars, score addict, and fourteen feathers. I can’t get past 99% on 17-15. Any advice? Thanks.
Try again and again. If you have 99%, your method might be correct. Try again many times and by luck once you’ll get 100%.
I personnally did it like this: With the birds, I destroyed the whole left part of the boat. With Mighty Eagle i destroyed the rest. Make sure that Mighty Eagle also destroys the ice blocks on the right side.
That last sentence is absolutely the key. Without destroying the “ice pond” at the far right, 100% is nearly impossible.

Haha, I just found out something funny. If you click again on the facebook button in Ham ‘Em High, facebook does not open any more, but a text appears saying: “Thank you! We like you too!” :)

I just updated Angry Birds Rio on my Ipod touch and now I can’t get it to load all the way. It will bring me to the new levels but when I touch the first level to play, it goes back to the home page on my Ipod. Any suggestions?
Yes, this was a common issue. You’ll need to turn on airplane mode or turn off wi-fi. See the second paragraph in this post for more info.
The Facebook levels of ham em high are locked again, while you can see i have trree stars on them and one feather. After the update it seems you have to like the page instead of only tapping like in AB, what i did first.
Can you elaborate? You cannot play the Facebook levels of Ham ’em High even tho you have 3-starred them all?
Well since the update i cant play the levels anymore. I unlocked the levels for the first time by only clicking on the fb button, but now the levels are locked, but there are three stars under each level and a feather next to the lock.

Amazon Appstore usually receives their update for the Main Version a few hours after Android Market receives their update. Just have to wait patiently until it arrives to Android.
Am I the only ons having trouble with getting the feather on 17-13? I know the stones on the left are crucial, but I can’t get past 93%!!
Yes the stones are critical. Think about the Eagle’s path if you leave the sardines in front of those stones: He will naturally destroy the whole led side. So use the birds to take out the right.

Late respons, but after about an hour of trying I finally nailed it. ;) Not an easy level to feather though!
I could use some help…no matter what I do I just can’t seem to get the feather on 17-3! I’ve gone after this one so many different ways and so many times, I’m beyond frustrated! Suggestions?

Rovio no longer comments on dates or timeframes for future updates (except for Seasons if they announce what Season it will be). It could be a few weeks, but it will certainly arrive eventually.

Airfield Chase (Rio 1.3.0) just landed on Android Market this morning.
Mine and Dine 17 (AB 1.6.3) will land there soon as well.
I had airfield on android a week ago. Still waiting for mine and dine update.

You tried to download the app from Intel’s AppUp? Try downloading the standalone version from download.angrybirds.com. It is compatible with Vista.

Random Thoughts/Ponderings
So Rovio + Achievements = Frustration at times. I’m sure we’ve all experienced at least one occurance of earning an achievement only to not get it. Now in Seasons/Rio I’m sure most of us have also magically seen the achievement suddenly pop up when we’re playing a level later. The level doesn’t even have to have anything to do with the achievement, it’s like the game just decides to check on the status of the achievement, realize that you’ve earned it and it just poofs onto your screen… Has anyone seen that happen with the plain Angry Birds? I know I’ve earned my Feather Collector Achievement (50 eagle feathers), after all, I have the other two eagle feather achievements (for having earned 100 and 200 feathers), all of which means logically, I had to have earned the mere 50. Maybe Rio/Seasons are programmed differently and the original Angry Birds is simply unable to check on past earned achievements that were not properly rewarded.
An achievement pondering… I’m prepared to argue that I’ve busted 500,000 blocks, but can’t logically prove that beyond all shadow of a doubt. What I would love to know is how many blocks the game thinks I’ve busted. Surely it’s stored in a variable somewhere, does anyone know how to access/find/read it?
The “Feathers” achievement in ABo has been fixed. It seems to be a logic error — a repeat of which has arisen in ABS. IMO, I think the coding error calls for the achievements in backwards order and mistakenly uses ELSE calls. That is,
Of course, these should all be IF calls, not ELSE IF. Based on what I have seen from users reporting these bugs, this seems most likely.
