The best strategy for Mighty Hoax level 5-14 is to bomb the stone blocks in the top-left of the structure. This should open a path for the Yellow bird. Speed it into the heart of the structure and detonate the two TNT within. The score in the video below is 61,560.
Version 2022:
Somehow, using the video shots, I manage to 1 bird this level. Score was only 61820 however.
Simply bombing with the white bird through the top of the structure can get a 1 bird clear, but I’ve not managed a 3 star one that way, only 53-54k, so it might be possible…
I cannot duplicate what I did so I have to assume it was a fluke but I got 66,630 with 1 bird bombing the front corner of the structure (I think where the tip of the stone triangle peeks up). the wall fell away, the pig rolled and the triangles on top fell and hit the first TNT setting off the second TNT.
I was also able to do a 1 bird clear, yes a fluke, got 64,850. Best I had before that was 54,000
I went after the hollow cement square and solid cement rectangle on the left hand side with the first bomb. If you’re lucky, it will also clear the second hollow cement square above it, leaving only wood exposed. I then shot the yellow bird straight through the exposed wood on the bottom, clearing everything, 62,120.
Finally!!! Had the same shot several times, but not enough broken stuff for 3 stars. 59,650 was enuff for 3 stars, at last. Now back to Egg Hunting…. OH,,, That 2nd shot in the walkthrough is very difficult! I couldn’t get it. Finally, and overhead lob got the TNT from above with enuff damage to move on.
71240 – Going back looking at the videos and and trying to pick some “low hanging fruit” to raise my score. I did very much the same as the video and the left hand side collapsed it eventually set off the TNT giving a one birder.
Sorry to sound dense but how do you verify scores, this is my second top score (the other was beaten shortly after I posted it). This one seems quite a bit ahead of the other scores posted and I don’t want to appear to be making it up.
You can “confirm” it by posting a screenshot of your score. Ideally, if you can get something like clouds behind the image of your score (possibly zooming in or out a little), it makes it much more conclusive and much much less likely to be considered photoshopped or something.
How do you screenshot with a Droid? I can’t find that option on my phone :(
which device are you using? ( make, model )
It’s the Motorola Droid X.
Thanks AMslimfordy, that ship’s sailed really, I suppose you have to ‘capture’ every attempt just in case ! At least I know it’s a genuine score.
Oh no, there is no time constraint. Your score should still be in the top-right corner of your game, yeah?
OK… The score’s on my phone, I’ve had a look at the guide on how to post scores for validation and it’s a bit of a leap for me, I’ll try and get one of my daughters to give me a hand, although it may well have to wait until daughter No.1 finishes her thesis next Tuesday. Does everyone really post their links for verification all the time ? I’ve finished AB, Seasons, Rio and Space to 3* although generally none of the scores are very special. I’d hate to lumber anyone with checking those and if you’re doing it for the whole lot, much respect to you.
Oh goodness no, haha. We typically only ask for validation from the Top Scorer on any particular level. So you would only need this one image — not hundreds.
Thanks, I’ll try and come up to speed :-)
I think I may have done it, sorry the the picture is upside down and I couldn’t sort that easily !
Hope this is the way to do it !

P.S. Quite a good learning curve for a 52 year old technophobe whose last claim to fame was adding extra memory to an Amiga (ask your Grandad !)
Hey, I remember the Amiga. An OS that was way before its time.
Used two birds as shown in the AMslimfordy ABN video. Cleared out more of the grey blocks on the left and then the yellow bird was able to slide all the way to the right to break up a few wood blocks for a few extra points. Gained 5k in points.
Was able to get the front left part of the structure to fall a number of times as Sherry described above by dropping the egg in the area of the top left hollow grey block and the 2 triangles. Counld not get the tnt to detonate but the debris was very close to activating it as the structure fell.
I aimed where the video said and got a one-bird clear, 63560, fluke.
As a few other have described, I basically used the same strategy as the original walkthrough, but I had much more destruction than shown in the video to the front of the structure. The difference is that I aimed slightly higher and dropped the egg higher. I can see how this might result in a one bird finish if the front TNT goes off (and sets off the second).
The added destruction made the second shot easier, and I added a couple thousand points to my score on the first try.
Hi all, Thanks for all the great tips! I just scored a measly but sufficient 59,560 by breaking the leftmost square brick with an eggbomg abd then firing a YB throught he weakened wood block.
Okay, this one’s hard. @e-star, where are youuu…?! :(
@birdjo sorry I don’t have a different approach to this one, I did however make a video. I didn’t post the video because I didn’t think it would add all to much, but maybe the overall view will help.
Here is my video
A big thanks, @e-star. I find your first bird strat presents more consistent (and bigger) openings for the next bird compared to the official video. Now trying to do the elusive 1-birder your way with my signature “Dive-Bomb”… :D
Wish me luck, okay… ;)
I guess i was pushing myself too hard on this, @e-star. Instead of having a 1-birder, i ended up adding 3k to my previous score. That’ll do for now… :)
@birdjo Great Job!!
@birdjo, did you get 69k with two birds? If so, maybe I have a little hope of improving my score ;)
Thank goodness for your always helpful videos @E-Star!
Upon first sight of this level, I thought “Okay, I’ve got my work cut out for me on this one!”, then much to my surprise, upon my very first attempt, scored 72,500 on a one-birder.
Threw the WB at the front nose much like the video, dropping the egg at the last possible moment which threw the WB into the upper portion of the front, causing enough destruction to make the whole structure shift left, setting off the tnt.
This can be done with one bird!! Drop the egg/bomb, at theseam of the first 2 blocks!! Should disappear, and pig, and what forms a wood riangle, will teeter forward, and eventually blow!! I got 75k, and without any Power Ups on Facebook!!
So I have heard (see above). I have been bombing that point since last July. Even When I do manage to clear the front, the TNT never blows. Congrats on your score though :)
I did the method in video but I got very lucky with 1 bird….72,100
I shot the first bomb bird to the seam above the first two- pigs and activated it. The second bomb bird was activated over the third pig. Pic of the resulting score is in my album. I did not realize it was the top score until I had left the screen… so I have posted the picture showing the score I finished with.
Sorry…. wrong score,,,,!
The one birder is still possible, at least on my old iPad running iOS 9. Can’t replicate on other devices so far. I got it after just a few tries and I haven’t repeated it in a lot more! Only improved by 30 points. Maybe high 70’s is beckoning.
Think this level might be a bit easier than before. Didn’t take long to improve my 4 year old score, first 2 birds 68K and then 1-bird 70K. Playing some kind of I-Phone (8?). High 70´s. Yes that’ll be the day. But then you never know with the L-factor…….
I found it impossible to get the one bird on any consistent basis and when it did happen my score was disappointing, usually mid 60’s. However I found that two birds can actually work rather well. In a few minutes of play I got 69k+ so I’m happy with the 3k improvement over my best one bird.
Here’s a pic of the two birder

Ok @icarus and @ozmongoose. Great scores. One bird or two? Thanks. ps any pics?
@steviep147 One bird. Left side collapsed and one of the upper triangles dropped onto the TNT. Have also had the same thing happen for various scores, mostly under 70K but one for 71K.
Only pic of score not of trajectory.

Hi. Thanks for that. I suspected it might be a oner. I just had one myself, pretty rare, but only 68K. Thanks again.
Managed a video of the oner for 70k.
https://youtu.be/W-_XLumT4QE
thanks. seeing the video made me realize i was shooting too low. shooting a bit higher like in your video gave me first 70720/2 (after something like 9.5k after the 1st) and a bit later 71760/1 (after two 1-bird solutions below my 2-bird score). think that 1-bird scores will be the best (something like 75k potential, something nigh impossible with 2).
My 70390 score in today’s Challenge was a 2 birder, first shot a high lob to the front avoiding any collapse that leaves unbroken stones (12k score) followed by the low sweep. I think this may be the best strategic route to top score rather than fling and hope for a 1 birder
Getting that12k in the first place may be as difficult as getting the oner! When it happens you may have just missed the one birder? However as your great score shows it’s possible afterwards to get good destruction with the second. My original score of 69k was done this and it’s no bad strat. Thanks 😁
The big points are in the stones but they are hard to break up. If they are at the front in a cracked state yellow will usually destroy them and explode the TNTs
Two more improvements using the 2 bird approach to just about 71k. I have vastly improved the first shot, concentrating on destroying stones and it is quite repeatable but difficult to describe – it involves skimming across them to damage them so they get destroyed on the 2nd bird. This is a more subtle level than first appears.
No way… there is no way to get that luck.
I’m stuck at 65k, even with your methods, everything remains the same. Seems a insane white bird shot.
In response to your comment @Beefans10, I revisited this level but with Classics and pretty quickly got 72348 with 2 birds in the same way as before. So I think Classics may have the capability to get the top score.
This needs a Blue Stacks player with repeat the last shot facility!
Using the same strat as the video. One of the square hollow bricks crushes the lower left wood plank, left side collapses and one of the upper triangles sets of the TNT.

Playing this level in Classics, I couldn’t get a one-birder. I did find that two bird scores were generally higher for me than in ABO. I sent Matilda low over the hollow stone square. Better scores occurred when the two hollow squares were destroyed, and the vertical wood block to the left of the pig was damaged but still standing, while Matilda rolled across the top of the structure damaging wood and stone along the way. Second shot low through the damaged wood block and both tnts all the way to the stone on the right.
