Our strategy for Mighty Hoax level 4-12 is to lob the first Yellow bird between the first two towers, causing the left tower to fall off the edge. Speed the second Yellow bird through the footing of the middle tower, creating a clear path to the final pigs. Launch the last Yellow bird into the hollow wooden squares of the right tower, pushing it off the right side. The score in the video below is 99,740.
Version 2022:
I also shot the yellow bird in a high arc, but it landed more to the left, making everything topple down. Almost got me a one birde, but one stubborn pig remained. Took it out with the second bird. Scored 105860.
Here’s the video I made.
I used your method for a similar score. It seems really the push for a collapse almost doesn’t want to happen the right way.
Thanks for the strat, added 6k to my high score.
Seems like you need a bit of luck as well because I just can seem to get them to fall that way.
@e-star Great Strat!!! Had to do it two birdies also!!! Thank you
Thanks @E-Star. Your strat gave me a 1 birder, finally.
I got 108440. Nearly a one birder.
You are all so well come, glad to see everyone is climbing up :)
and Yeahhh for you @duffy way to go!
Thanks!!
Here’s a good strategy for a one-birder. I wonder if this person is a member of ABN, but perhaps with a different name. Whatever the case may be, he’d be a great asset. He has figured out the optimal technique for the better part of 90% of the levels for ABO.

Oooh thank you Bill for that video made my night and super boosted my score!!!! :)
@Bill – Thanks for the tip. While I couldn’t master his strategy, I was impressed with it. I haven’t entered many scores for ABO because they all need improving, but this guy will be a good go-to resource when I start that process (sigh). Thanks again.
Nice strat! Thanks for sharing. I got my previuos score of 107300 by using the two bird strat listed above with the first bird coming in with a high arch to come between first two structures and second bird for a clean up to the remaining right pigs. This one bird tehnique improved my score to 113180;-)
Nice score @lesleyg, this strat drove me crazy, rarely got it to work. Had to use the other way. Nice shooting!
Thanks @karen68 ;-) I see you got a one birdie the other way! I always had to use two birds… so it’s safe to say they both work good but just a matter of which one works best for you. Nice job to you too!
@karen68 – I didn’t find either of these strats very easy. I got a 1birder with E-Star’s for 107 and 110 with 2 birds with stocktoad’s. But it took forever with both. And that’s about the best I seem to be able to do. You got a nice score, though. Congrats.
Sorry, posted this in the wrong place! Tired. But nice score to you too, @lesleyg. Didn’t mean to impose on your space.
@duffy, thanks…and you didn’t impose on my space, no apology needed. It’s your space too ;-) If you were replying to karen68’s post then you did it right. It just goes in order of the replies…since I replied first, mine shows up first. So if you also hit “reply” to karen then it just goes in the next available space…hope that made sense ;-)
Tried this strat, and ended up with a three bird nearly 106k score. This is a good one, can’t wait to hit it in one or two.
Thank you bill for the video!
I use second bird for light side pigs.

As in many levels, a one birder is not always the highest score. I don’t know how the highest scores did it, but I seem to be the top score who is willing to share the strat. First bird right under the horizontal board, straight into the single vertical board where the bird can punch through to take out the first three pigs. Same shot as in Bill’s one bird video. Second bird obvious clean up with the left over right end pigs.
@stocktoad – thanks for sharing your strat and congrats on your score. I am always so impressed when high scorers are willing to post their methods. I may have to give this another try without focussing on a 1 birder. Thanks again.
@stocktoad, thanks for sharing. I kept trying that shot, as in Bill’s video, but was not very successful, only about 1 out of every 30 or so tries, & only cleared all the pigs with 2 birds a couple of times. Very precise aiming required. I got my score using the high lob shot as in e-star’s video, did it with one bird but took many tries, I found this shot usually needed a second bird. Congrats on your score.
I revisited this level using your strategy . The one bird strategy tended to be low scoring.this worked for me , took some time, I found I needed 58-60 k first bird to obtain a top score. Improved 4k thanks
My wife had 112k+ with a 1-birder, @mudshark-70. It’s just a matter of 1 extra destroyed wooden square (worth 1700) to make my 2-birder 1k higher. With a bit of luck, a 1-birder in this level is comparable… :)
@birdjo. I’m sure the 1 & 2 bird scores can be similar . In theory 1 is better than 2. But with limited playing time, the 2 yellow birds gave me the most destruction . Thanks for your reply.
It’s all my pleasure, @mudshark-70. It’s nice to be able to share thoughts with some of the best AB shooters here. Oh, and congrats for your highscore. Great shooting there… :)
@birdjo thanks anytime my friend.
Holy moly! Only my 2nd #1 score.
One birder… through the gap just below the horizontal piece of wood above the two pigs on the left. Idea is to get it through there with enough oomph to break the other two vertical beams and then break the horizontal piece of wood above the third pig from the left.
This time the bird rolled along that piece before breaking it and (I think) nudged the middle tower complex to the right where it took out everything else to the right.
Totally lucky and probably not repeatable, but I had come close once or twice so who knows?
Well, the one birder is repeatable, but the luck factor is really high on this one.
Here is the result for my highest score: http://oi60.tinypic.com/iyej34.jpg
Theoretically, up to 126k is possible on this one.
Following this strategy I’ve had four one-birders but so much debris was always left that my highest score this way was only about 101k.
I used @wcrob strategy. This level has definitely gotten easier aince the last update. I used this same strategy in the past for 105K.
Not finding this level particularly easy to be honest. Finally got a decent one-birder for exactly 122K by firing up at a slight angle (sliver of light just visible in slingshot) and accelerating down into the top of the front two vertical wooden planks. Many tries so big luck factor. ALSO! – maybe the level is glitchy. Just as I scored the 122K the screen froze for a moment and then the game closed and took me to my iPad home screen, before the tally screen could be displayed. Thought the score hadn’t registered but it did. Phew!
here a video one-birder 119k:

Has anyone been able to get the Mighty Eagle feather on this level on the new (2022) version of ABO. The highest i can get is 93%. Here is a screen cap showing all wood destroyed. Since the birds used were Chuck (yellow) no wood was thrown off screen. It appears that i have gotten all the wood.
Any help would be great.
appears that my screen cap did not get attached, let’s try this.

Hi @sparty83. Saw your post so just gave it a try, and got 100% on first attempt, even with 3 planks and 3 boxes still intact, so I’m presuming my version is an older one (8.0.3.5.0097). I lost all my Angry Birds games when I had an unrecoverable failure of my iPad 18 months ago, and when Apple replaced it I had to start over from scratch. Since then, I’ve never been prompted to update to a newer version.
@peejaydee27, this is for the new version just released on 31 Mar 2022. On the original version released years ago, i have gotten the feather. On the old version, its ver8.0.3 which i have gotten the feather.
On this new version, can’t break 93%
Original ABO:
Still has 5 blocks and a piece of wood, yet gets 100%

New Version: (notice, no icon for powerups)
All wood gone and only 93%

Geez. That’s makes no sense (second video). Surely has to be a programing issue. As for the 2022 version, I see in the Apple store that there is a new release available for purchase, but not as an update to the existing game. For me, there’s no point in buying a new version and starting over again.

As @comex666 with a fair few repeats using ABO. I do wonder whether any kind of fluked one-birder using Classics could get a higher score, but the physics is completely different and I think it would have to be a complete slice through rather than the topple.
