Golden Egg #31 can be found in Angry Birds Short Fuse level 26-15. The Golden Egg is not visible when you first start the level, but hidden under the slingshot platform. To reach it, waste the first two birds before spinning a Boomerang bird back through the cave.

Super High Score Strategy
Millions of points are possible in this level! By causing “Blue Potions” to release toward the trio of pigs above, you can start earning massive points. Normal destruction in this level will yield about 120,000 points. But if all 5 blue potions land on the three little piggies, trade 15,000 for up to 3,645,000 points. The score in the video below is a whopping 1,451,890!
Screenshot required for all scores in excess of 1 millions points. No exceptions. Any offending scores will be removed.

Save yourselves the time trying; turning your iPhone upside down won’t make the level any easier. Nor will locking the orientation and then turning it upside down!
It was worth a try!
I have scored in excess of 2,000,000, three times now in the almost hour I have played this level. My current recorded high score is 2,323,600, however I amassed a total beyond 2,600,000 (heart-breakingly, 2 pigs survived), and therefore wouldn’t be surprised if 3,000,000 is achievable.

There is really only one strategy for this level which is to release all 5 blue potions onto the pigs above and then clean-up whatever’s leftover using the remaining birds. My tips for this level is to activate the yellow bird’s speed boost almost immediately. See that pyramid looking part of the platform with the orange potion floating above it? you want to get as close to the peak of that structure without making contact with it. The aim is to cut the first rope holding the 4 blue potions without making contact with the wood or the potions. With the second piece of rope still attached to the plank of wood restraining the 4 blue potions, the angle of this wood will open up 90 degrees from horizontal to vertical and all 4 blue potions will slide down along with the other blue potion landing 5 direct hits on the 3 pigs above. Almost your entire score will be generated as a result of the first bird and there seems to be a lot of variation in what is left remaining. I don’t believe I have ever taken out the 2 top-left pigs with the first bird so I release my second shot around horizontal and spin the boomerang bird aiming for the pipe separating them, if you hit this pipe directly it will take out both these pigs. Use the new & improved bomb bird as you would a normal bomb bird aiming to bury it deep in a pile of stones and hope the explosion generates plenty of points and the debris destroys any remaining pigs. I had to use all 4 birds to complete the level when attaining my high score.
Agreed, I have a current score of 1.3 million with the same strategy but have numerous failed attempts at 2 million + scores. I have had two tries where my score was even over 3 million but I wasn’t able to clear the remaining pigs which was very frustrating!
Nice score! Used the same strategy and got 2114100! Hilarious watching those piggies multiply and multiply….

Hey everybody, I got over 600 hundred thou …. oh my! I think this level might keep me up past my bedtime.
Up to 1.35 million, flirted with 2.1 but had two pigs left. Grrr
Guess what happens when the orange potion also hits all this piggies? This!

The screen froze for a few seconds while it tried to process all the animation elements in play. When it caught up, it blew the pigs off the screen in all directions, too quick to grab a screen shot, but it was pretty cool. Notice in the last pic the three pigs stuck in the permanent structure. Unable to hit them. :-(
@dmsral
Same thing. So many pigs blowing up that the game locked up for a few seconds. Unfortunately, mine didn’t yield many points. But it was certainly pretty cool to see. I was zoomed in, so the bloated pigs filled my screen up completely.
This is one of the most difficult, frustrating, clever, imaginative, and fun levels in any of the games, I think. It’s probably my very favorite, even though it is driving me nuts, and I’ve come nowhere near yet to getting over a million points.
There are just so many factors in play at once, some unique to elements in Short Fuse, and some variations on elements from some of the other games:
– A gravity pull, which we’ve seen lots of times before, but UPSIDE DOWN, and INVISBLE!
– The special potion properties, all of which you have to deploy, with exactly the right timing, so they don’t interfere with each other and give you a lower score. Although the exploding many little pigs is too much fun to miss.
– Having to aim that first yellow bird on exactly the right trajectory, without really any background elements to help you line up your shot with repeated accuracy. That dark featureless background behind the shooting platform is EVIL. There is definitely a mad scientist somewhere at Rovio who came up with that little twist.
– The random factor: even if you get your shot just right to release all the potions properly, you may still end up with one or two little multiplied pigs, which can mean the whole level fails on you.
– The unique reward, if you do manage to get it right, to score over a million or even two million points! Now that is amazingly satisfying. I hope everyone who has achieved it so far has done a wild, hand-waving victory parade all over the house, because you’ve certainly earned it for such a special achievement!
Thanks @the-krafty-one for your detailed strategy, especially the tip about accelerating yellow bird right away. I haven’t yet managed to actually duplicate what you describe, but at least I know exactly what I’m trying for!
Also thanks @myselfiandme for the detailed tip about the timing of the orange potion. Again, I haven’t managed it yet, but I know what to try!
And @Pete — I tried the upside-down thing too, which was really fun, and I thought it was very cool, but like you, I found it didn’t really help. Although I may give it another whirl, now that I know how to target all the other variables.
I think the missing key is finding a way to accurately line up yellow bird to make that first shot. There appear to be only one or two pixels that give you the right trajectory, and it’s very hard to find just the right spot with all that solid darkness in the background. I may have to resort to the tape on the screen trick!
I have a feeling that this is a level I’ll keep coming back to, just for the fun of it (even with all its frustration).
Congrats to everyone who managed to get high scores, and good luck everyone!
@dmsral, I’ve got a video of this explosion :
http://youtu.be/i-S_EPTfIv8
@crazy-rider: I was hoping you would be able to capture it!
If they are stuck in the structure, the bomb bird helps.
This level is ridiculous! Sorry for the crummy picture quality.

Egads!! I’ve been trying and trying for one of those super size scores. Most I had so far was a pretty cool half a million. Got some million ones going but couldn’t pull off the clean up, drat. Then this one …. Wow, finally! It was going to give me a monster score …. And the game froze. I waited but it finally went down and when I started Angry Birds again, my monster attempt had vanished. I broke Angry Birds LOL. Here’s a screenshot from when it froze:
http://angrybir.de/1jL9HJE
I will keep trying!!
Keep trying! It’s frustrating but fun!
@AMSlimfordy — Went from next to last on leaderboard to 5th in one lucky turn. Screenshots in my album.
Lots of luck combined with some quality shots required.
Currently at 1.4mm
http://angrybir.de/1iUJVoS
Almost had a 2.6MM game, but couldn’t get one last bird. Lots of failed 1.8MM range attempts….so frustrating.
Improved to 1.7MM

Same method. Timing is key to getting all the potions to fall where you want them.
If the orange potion falls to the left of the structure, it pushes debris onto the triple birds ruining the triplification process. If the orange potion falls to the right, you end up with the massive mess of expanding birds….cool looking, but it also ruins the triplification process.
I like the orange potion to land right on top of that structure. Most of the time that structure remains standing. If it does and you drop the five blue potions onto the triplet birds……you have the 1.8MM setup.
One time I had the middle bird from the structure fall onto the triple birds. Couldn’t finish, but had 2.4MM. The higher scores come from an extra bird onto the pile.
So about that timing….I found that if you time the release of the first bird about 1 second after the ropes holding the orange potion and blue potion make contact, that works to get the orange potion on top of the structure. If that doesn’t work for you, simply adjust your timing to get the orange bird to fall correctly.
Correction to early comments. Higher scores do not need a bird from the structure to fall into the triplification zone at all. Bird that falls into the middle on occasion usually dies immediately or lands after potion effect is done. Does not impact things.
Higher scores require all five potions to land very tightly on the three bird zone, orange potion to land on middle structure and not topple it……and the TNT to explode by the bird before the triplification begins. If it blows afterward triplification begins, then lots of potential multiplying birds get destroyed before splitting….losing valuable points. From there, a little luck allows the boomerang to completely clear the pile….and the rest is easy.
And now over 2.0 million…
http://angrybir.de/17Zd7bU
Still using strategy to time bird so that the orange potion lands on the structure….so the structure doesn’t fall into my triplification zone.
Finally got a score in the mega range….2.95MM

Envious of all the shooters over 1 million – I can’t put it all together yet but I’m sure I’ll get the lucky shot eventually.

1.159.450
I’m inching my way back toward the top. Up to 2,471,690
No hum score of not quite 1.4 million. Photo posted to my album.
I hit the 2 million+ mark! This level is insane. Here’s my pic on my profile page.
http://angrybir.de/1c06WA1
Currently sitting at 1.6 mil. I have a screen cap if and when I need it. but trying for the magical 2 mill threshold.
@amslimfordy.
I know power up scores are not allowed for GE levels. While playing level 31, where nearly 3 million points are possible it came to me, does it really matter if a person uses a power up on this level, what will an extra 10k really do for the overall high score?
Then it dawned on me, it may not affect the high score much percentage wise, but it will most certainly assist in completing the level. Swapping out the bomb bird for either the green or yellow bird would make it easier to complete.
So I feel that the scores for GE31 should also be power up free. (My current 1.6 mil is power up free)
@sparty83 All scores should be PU free, but swapping out the first yellow bird would be detrimental. I think you need it one way or another.
All my scores are pu free.
For swapping out the yellow bird, i was referring to the last bird not the first. Totally agree that the first must be the yellow to get all the blue potion bottles to float up to the top.
btw, impressive score
I had a 2.5MM with 1 pig not popped but this is still pretty good.

Finally got a score of 1.4 million! tmp_Screenshot_2013-11-29-23-45-501541842437.png
Here is my screen shot of 1.6 million and change. Still working on 2 mil

Here’s mine (score of 1,423,360):

Also still working on 2 mil
slight improvement (score of 1,482,080)

Only a slight improvement, but an improvement none-the-less…and done using just 1-bird with a good mix of potion explosion thrown in! ;)
So as not to clog up this page with repeated screenshot links, my current score screenshot proof will be made available in my album. cheers! ;)
Really struggled with this one! Finally managed to get above average – but sort of messed up the screen shot as I was nervous & didn’t quite know what to do. BUT managed to get an image uploaded of the level cleared screen – don’t shoot me down please!! I’ll defo be revisiting this level for a bigger score!
DOH!! Image is in my album!!!
Here’s my image. Now trying to hit the 2M
http://angrybir.de/1itVQMp
Weird bug. Unfortunately I missed getting a screenshot before the end screen obscured the evidence. I had just witnessed the combination of tripling and expansion which racked up a decent score. However one small pig remained high on the screen in the brown ceiling rock! No way to kill it.
I know what u mean @JamBri. I got a pic of it
http://angrybir.de/1gzWVOt
My best, so far: 1 bird, score of 1.978.470. Pictures here: https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/astridlied/album/
On the first of these shots, the game actually frose for something like 5 minutes and I was certain it had crashed totally, but it got going again eventually :-)
By the way, I find that turning it upside down does help, because then I can utilise all my aiming practise which makes it easier to aim correctly when there’s no details in the background.

Love this level. Took me a while but now i got a good one.

Current high score of: 1.5M
http://angrybir.de/18g2nnn
Fun level to play. I’ve always played the level upside-down so the bird flight paths are traditional… which makes looking at all the other poster’s screen shots seem weird.
New high of 1.9M
http://angrybir.de/1d2UQYJ
I got 1 million points or more, I affix screenshot.

Took awhile, but finally got it…
http://www.flickr.com/photos/87193841@N05/11238388785/
I got 2,859,200. The key is use the yellow bird and wait til the blue potion swings towards the 4 blue potions to release. Immediately fire the yellow bird to hit the platform or rope and drop all 5 potions on the 3 pigs below (above) The rest just requires careful aim to finish them off. I used the tucan boomerang to kill the pile of pigs, bomb bird to pop the 4 pigs closest and the last yellow bird to finish off the stragglers.

Not yet my best, I’ll keep trying… http://angrybir.de/1ghnCKs
