2015 is not even a month old and Rovio has already released an expansive update to Angry Birds Space and HockeyBird made his debut as a playable character in Angry Birds Friends. So what does the future hold for Angry Birds games in 2015? Here’s a sneak peek at two games already soft-launched in different parts of the world – Angry Birds Fight! and Angry Birds Stella POP!
Continuing the trend of breaking into new game types started in 2014, comes two puzzle games in the same vein as popular puzzle games, Candy Crush Saga and Bejeweled. These games are already available for download in the iTunes store certain countries. It is unknown if and when they will be released world wide, but it is likely to happen, as this process (known as a “soft launch”) was used for AB Transformers and AB EPIC.
Not much is known about these games, other than their official description and a select few screenshots from the iTunes store but we will try to bring you the latest news updates as they become available.

Special thanks to Angry Bird news sleuths @filipersr , @josm , @bad-piggies- , and @gx-d for the heads up about these games!
Are you excited to see these new additions to the Angry Birds app family? Will you be downloading once they are available, or are you more of a classic flinger? Do you think Rovio breaking out of the classic flinging games is a good move for the Angry Birds franchise? Any guesses about when they will launch world wide?

Better comparisons would be Puzzle Bobble for Stella Pop and Puzzle and Dragons for AB Fight. Neither of them are very much like Candy Crush or Bejeweled – although they have similar match-3(-or-more) objectives, the mechanics are very different.
I am pretty dissapointed – AB started as a hit and now it went down to these cheap games… :'(
I see it as Rovio branching out into different areas and growing the Angry Birds brand.
Mario was just running around the sewers for a long time, but they they added Dr. Mario and Mario Kart Racing and other types of games.
Angry Birds used to just be a slingshot game, but now we have EPIC, GO!, Transformers, and now Fight! and POP!
I would say that Angry Birds is still a big hit. Whether you enjoy these types of games or not, it’s still growth for the brand.
Yeah, I feel scared.. Because nowadays I see people playing Candy Crush, Candy Soda Saga.. It makes me feel that Angry Birds is not popular anymore ;(
But the good news is, Some people stopped playing Candy Crush and start playing Angry Birds instead..
I tried those bubble-popping games before, and they get boring pretty fast (mostly because all you do is connect items of the same type to destroy them, allowing more items to come on the screen)
P.S: I bet Rovio is just admiring how popular Candy Crush Saga is- so they go “If Candy Crush Saga is insanely popular, why dont we mix Angry Birds with it to make a awesome new game?” (same with other companies, like the makers of “Best Fiends” and that Frozen bubble-popping game)
I’m pretty much only wanting to try this game because it’s Angry Birds themed, one of my favorite games of all time -along with Mario and PvZ (2)- :)
In all honesty I have the game and it is actually really good. As you said its angry birds which makes it awesome! As you progress you unlock new characters, power ups, locations and so on. There are also 6 game modes. The levels I also find are very well balanced and not ridiculously difficult. All in all like I said it is a really good game.
in the description of angry birds fight caught my attention l -islands part unknown- whether that means outside then piggy island, rovio wants to acclimate outside island to succeed in the game
Downloading POP now, looks like a bubble witch knockoff to me.
Yeah, Games nowadays are copying Candy Crush.. Oddly Candy Crush ripoff Bejeweled.. Bejeweled IS the original Candy Crush
@Sonnykero And Shariki is the original Bejeweled. It’s hard to find “originals”… but Shariki is as far back as I can find a tile-matching game.
Wow! I never thought it is Shariki.. All I know is Bejeweled is the first game
Ha, did you know that “Shariki” from Russian translates “Baloons”
Sorry what I ment to say was:I think it is Russian for “balls” or it may be an omonim word.
i played stella pop in one of my devices (i have an android tablet and an ipad) and is very harto get 3 stars in levels starting with 9 or 10 i think that is a level of dahlia (piggy on the middle) and then with the first levels of willow (save the critters ) but then is very hard at level 13 and 15 (i got 2 stars at level 13 and i still playing the level 15 that is a willow level) and the next character of i´m unlocking after complete 2 or 3 more levels is poppy (levels angains the clock ) if you are in canada you can see a gameplay trailer and here shows you how arethe duels with gale but seeing the levels themes i see that luca is not in the game but then is a upcoming area and it says coming soon
Agreed on Level 9 – I think it is going to take some extreme luck to three star that one. Hard to release enough bubbles to drop into the point pots at the bottom.
I remember seeing something about Stella POP but Fight is something new to me.
was sof launched in january 20 or 21 i think in thailand
I’ve known about Stella POP! for months, but Fight!? I didn’t know about Fight!. Man, it’s gonna be even more difficult to keep up with all Angry Birds games. The daily 10 gems and weekly tournaments in GO!, daily Golden Pig, daily dungeon and leagues in Epic, 4-hourly coins in Transformers, weekly tournaments in Friends, and now this? My “to do” list is gonna be even longer.
*for a month
angry birds stella pop is very hard i don´t know a person that can beat level 9 with 3 stars and also willow levels get harder with the time but the more hard levels are the levels of dahlia and poppy (you need to pop bubbles against the clock with poppy what is very hard ) i saw in the gameplay trailer the poppy levels and duels with gale ( you can see the gameplay trailer only in canada too) :( and now i noticed about angry birds figth but it seems to be like epic and games of match 3 together but hoppefully is more easy than stella pop .
Yah I know. I have soooo many levels to beat in angry birds space it is just crazy. Angry birds epic I am in cave 6 of like 13. Angry birds stella I have to reach level 33 (currently level 24). Angry birds transformers I am just 8 upgrades away from getting a high enough rank to unlock dark megatron. And angry birds stella pop which is in the middle of the pack for me in terms of my fav angry birds games I have 9 levels left to beat. It’s so many games!
I can’t wait for the 2 games!! Always love Angry Birds ^^
I tried Stella Pop when it was soft launched in Canada. Some first levels were really hard.
They updated it this week and in the update it says they made levels easier. So planning to try it out.
@joeyba thank you. i thought it’s up to me and that I am only person who find those levels hard.
Actually it is much much easier now. I spent all of free coins on extra moves before level 17 and level 17 required to destroy all bubbles in 90 second, whic was impossible to me. Now it is 115 sec and can be done easily.
It starts getting easier in my opinion I am on level 51 (of 60) and it is definitely no harder than level 17 or 18 and so on. There are a few ultra hard levels I had to pass though. Hopefully they balanced those levels like they said in the update description :)
Diversity is good because the different formats may appeal to different individuals. There is a cost to Rovio in game development, marketing and maintenance. If the new game format is a hit with players it tends to be good for the Rovio and will get downloaded and played a lot. If not, the game just “sits on the shelf.
I have play most of the games Rovio has developed or sponsored. Still playing many because their format still appeals to me. Some of the others (Amazing Alex, Tiny thief, Icebreaker Monsters, Juice Cubes, Pirates, etc.) sit on the iPad waiting to be played again.
The two games look interesting and will give them a try. One never knows what the next game addiction may be. Right now its Transformers and the games with a sling in them.
Did you know that ArcadeGo.com did a playtrough for POP! ? Just check it,maybe it’s helpful to describe how the gameplay works. :)
Oh no. NONONONO. I think people nowadays have bad taste in games. It’s always Candy Crush. Oh Rovio, you have disappointed me. :(
I hope they don’t think of Clash of Clans or FarmVille themed Angry Birds. I don’t like those games.
Plunder Pirates is Actually Clash Of Clan,They Don’t Need To Have Another one.
They have a The Croods game also like farmville.
That’s the point. Developers are just copying now. They need to become original again. If Rovio will join this madness, then i have lost faith in developers.
Oh now @gian…some of us with “bad taste” are actually perfectly nice people. :-)
I will admit to being a bit addicted to Farm Heroes Saga. I know, I know…it’s a bit embarrassing to play with “Cropsies” at my age (let’s just say I’ve passed my Half Century).
I have a love/hate relationship with the King brand: they push very actively to get you to spend money, unlike Rovio which has a “soft” sell for power ups. It’s also annoying to run out of lives. And their games have far fewer ways to earn boosters/power-ups than Rovio.
One the other hand, sometimes I just don’t feel up to the hand-eye coordination required for Angry Birds, and just want to shift stuff around on a board. Many of the levels are really challenging, if not nearly impossible which of course just makes them addictive.
Angry Birds was the first video game that really caught my interest, and it will always be my One True Love. But I don’t play all the Angry Bird Games, and I like the option of having a different type of game play.
So I say the more the merrier; I think it’s a good thing to have choices, and everyone can decide for themselves what they like to play – it’s a big world out there.
Also, there’s really not much new under the sun, and the great thing about creativity is allowing us to discover new perspectives on familiar ideas.
Are We Able To Play Angry Birds Fight?
I Have Android And Want To Know How Does It Like.
Is Angry Birds Fight a RPG game?
It’s à puzzel and dragons game. I just played it for an hour or so. You fight against other people after you had a limited time to make 3 matches. You level up to become stronger just like in Epic. Each level has an endboss which is a pig on a ship. You can also get items like in Epic to make you stronger. Hats, sunglasses etc. You progess through levels on tropical islands.
@jaythecanadian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6XLnXDcoLo see that by you this is a gameplay
Productionvalue save the day, doesn’t it? ;-)
They indeed need to address the matchmaking. I get beat all the time by level 10 warriors.
Looks like fun!
And also look like angry
If you’re know Tower of Saviors, which is very popular in Asia and Chinese Area, is quite similar with AB Fight!.
Honestly, I don’t play Tower of Saviors because of it’s addictive and complication, but if AB Fight! was playful to me, I might also give a try on it.
It Is more fun than I thought it would be. There is a lot going on.
tis is a cool game
Angry Birds Fight really looks like an interesting game. I can’t wait for it to come to me! :-)
How many crystals per day one player could get?
Good News!!Angry Birds Fight! was available in Apps Store of my home country Malaysia. No idea if available in other neighbour country but I’d saw many players from many part of world other than first launch Thailand.
Here’s is my review when first hour of playing:
-Co-develop with Japanese developer Kiteretsu, which is why the game has many Japanese culture inspiration in game music, graphic and design.
-Great music and SFX.
-Smooth and crystal clear graphic.
-Easy but hard to master 3-match game system.
-Very addictive gameplay. Don’t try to play when you’re middle of study!
-“Match!” require 1 Energy. There’s 6 when energy is full. Liked Candy Crush Saga, energy is needed to be replenish in every 10 minutes.
Here’s my advice when you guys in first hands on this game:
-A VERY STABLE INTERNET CONNECTION IS REQUIRED WHEN PLAYING THIS GAME. Otherwise, you’re letting the chance to opposite player to win automatically when in “Match!”
-Be STEADY when playing “Match!”. A very key thing to win the “match” because you’re match-3 to power up your bird. Once nervous and you’re slugging in Low Attack and Life.
-You’re think the opposite player’s bird are low in level, who knows your opposite have something potential in hiding, so DON’T UNDERESTIMATE you opposite. Same thing, don’t be shocked and tense if your opposite’s bird are high in level, be steady and 3-match to power up you’re bird to max.
And last, let’s waiting the global launch of this game to be soon.
To me, fight looks fairly similar to EPIC. I would still play it though, it looks easier.
Angry Birds Fight like a Angry Birds Epic!?
Not quite. Although is almost same RPG, leveling up segment, but is totally different in concept and game system.
Differentiation:
Epic- Simulated-RPG battle system, Scandinavian-themed game design(Little in Far East culture)
Fight- RPG-Puzzle based game system(Similar with Puzzle and Dragon/Tower of Saviors but infused with Bejeweled/Candy Crush Saga 3-match gameplay), Japanese design(As Fight! was co-develop with Japanese developer Kiteretsu) with fusion of elements from many part of world
Date of launch?
ABFight is also available in Southeast Asia
Angry Birds Fight! is also soft-launched in certain countries for Android on March 24, 2015, according to AppAnnie. And its latest update features Stella as a playable character.
Are they going to do another challenge. I can’t get back into the challenge game I had on my android
All the best
