v1.4.19 supports cloud sync via Facebook and/or Google Play

Damn…wiped progress…I lost my progress cuz i wiped my phone w/o backup but i found an old backup, rank 160 :)

I lost everything, for luck i restored my old backup from December, but i lost rare items as Christmas. Now i need to buy 5 characters form Decepthogs update again.

Does that mean it’s safe to reinstall the game now? Due to the low size of my memory i couldn’t play the game anymore but i would be glad if the save could at least be stored for very far future to don’t start from scratch.

This is what I have figured out…

Updated to Lilli-pop a few days prior, then Just after updating to the new version of ABT, my daughter played for about a day and then her tablet went dead. Lights out, gone. Time for a new one.

So once in enter her email the new tablet (which came with lollipop) ask me if i want to restore data from another device (I turned on the Google backup functionality long ago and tied it to her email). I chose ‘yes,’ and selected the device to restore from. In my case ther was only one device but it recognized the make and model.

So after all the updating and syncing, I open ABT and am at the beginning. Level 1. “Great” i thought, “How am i going to explain this to a 5 year old?” So i started going through the tutorial, and right after doing enough runs to get the pigs to unlock bumblebee, the leader board, friends, and camera options show up. I click it and it asks me to connect to Facebook. I enter her FB credentials and the game says “Restoring your progress this may take a while” (Or something similar).. Then BANG, right back to level 121, right where she left off.

I was rank 230 and lost progress to rank 226.

I play the game on my tablet (was rank 230) and back it up to my phone every so often(last backup was rank 226). I updated ABT on my phone first, and didn’t lose any progress(still rank 226 on phone). but when i went to my tablet and updated ABT and launched the game, I lost all progress on my tablet) and the tablet automatically synced with my phone after finishing the intro level. I think if I had updated my tablet first, the tablet (rank 1) would have synced with the server and my phone would get its progress overwritten, I’m scared to think if I had done that.

My phone is Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android 4.4.4
My tablet is NVidia Shield Tablet with Android 5.0.1

Hello, I got a reply from Rovio customer service and I’m happy to say they managed to restore my 189 rank! :)
It turns out Facebook Sync was actually active before the update so I gave them my Facebook email and they could find a backup from the day before the update and restore it; I uninstalled the game completely and played the first few stages until the crown button on the left appears, I clicked it and linked my Facebook account and a “Please wait – Restoring progresses” message pops up. Pronto, everything is fine and I managed to update: sweet!
Please note I had full disclosure with Rovio: I told them I used Titanium Backup, they told me it isn’t supported but they helped me anyway. Hats off to Rovio, I never even paid anything.
