With so many people emailing us asking about Angry Birds Friends not working I wanted to put together a quick post so people can comment. There really isn’t much to say, as these things happen. From time to time Pigs disguised as Gremlins invade the server room and there is nothing one can do but deploy the bug bombs!
Over the past several hours Angry Birds Friends has come back online, but so far it hasn’t stayed live for long. When that changes we will let you know. With that said, we don’t have any additional information on when the issue will be resolved. About 8 hours ago Rovio Tweeted the following:

I have the same problems. I can’t get Angry Birds Friends got to work. So bad as today i have never seen :-)There are many more people who are getting the same error. Sorry that i can’t believe this answer!

The message I am seeing now says, “Sorry, we are on maintenance. Please try again later or play on Mobile!”. Has anyone tried on mobile?
Had iPad issues early morning, but not since.
I was able to get in a few hours back and for the brief moment I was in I realized that my angry birds coins were at 500 before they went down I was at 583 and that was without my weekly 200 coins for winning the last weeks tournament and 60 coins for my league placement
Except for 6:30am am eastern, everytime i habe tried it worked. 7:30am, 1:00pm and i think at 2:00pm, i had no issues
@sparty83 Interesting. Were you on a computer or on mobile?
@birdleader, sorry for the late reply, but each time was on my android phone. Would have tried more often but stupid job got in the way. (also, the building I work in is damn near a faraday cage)

Now playing on a PC, just noticed something funny. On the league profile, everything looks fine. I go to each new level and my name/alias shows up on the right for both friends and leagues for levels 1 through 5. On level 6, for friends, it shows my name, but on leagues, it shows Guest16… (guessing there is more but not sure how to display it)
Still not working here in Indiana (southern).I am having withdraws :(
6pm Eastern here, it took several tries to start but it finally did.
Now about half the time it assigns my score to the “Red” bird instead of me.
I was able to get in around noon PST on iPad and play all levels. Reloading of levels was a lot faster than the short time I was in this morning. Did not pay attention to coins.
It was finally working on tablet, continuous, late this afternoon. Was able to complete all levels properly. PC is now up, and seems stable, no maintenance messages!!
mine doesent stay on the screen why.
NOT WORKING. Keep having to reload page and once it even happened in the middle of a game! ! !

Had some strange things happen this morning while trying to play AB:Friends. I was playing on my Android phone, connected to my home wifi. It was between 6:30 and 7:15 am eastern. It seemed like every time I started a level or reset the level, the game would just hang up, stuck at Loading. Most of the time, the only thing I could do was to press the back button on my phone. (not any in game buttons)
After I 3 starred Level 5, I pressed the >> button to move on to the next level. It got to the next screen and it got stuck at Loading. I pressed the back button to go to the overall level screen and there was a score in Level 6 that matched Level 5 and yet I had not even played level 6 yet.

Even tonight, while trying to play on my phone, the Loading seemed to appear quite often. (only played for about 20 minutes so far)
(and even though I do have proof of 200k for level 6, I will not be posting that score, and that was a power up free score)
What’s the best estimate for fixing angry birds. Mine has been down all day!
