The End is Near?

Don’t get to nervous when there’s no new bot released for a few weeks, this doesn’t mean that the game is dying. I actually like there’s no new bot at the moment, now I can use some crystals to upgrade some items. Normally almost all of my crystals are spent on leveling bots.

@deindiaan  Maybe that was somewhere in the beginning of ABT, but I can’t remember that there were no new bots released in the lasts years for such a long period of time.

The event titles are now simply TF names.

@grimlockdown It looks like R/E won’t even invest any effort anymore  in thinking of a catchy event name. I suppose that soon there will be an event called The Grand Finale or something like that and that will be the end of ABT.

@john12345 Season 6 timer is still counting down (25 days left at the time of this writing). I think we will truly find out by the end of March as the next update for “Season 7” would be due by then.

At first I could care less if the game ended as it’s been a bit of time sink (probably added up to days, weeks!?) for so much of the past 6+ years for me. However, now I hope R/E keep the lights on a bit longer as it would be sadder if the game is gone. I can choose to play or not to play if the game still exists, but if it’s over, then there’s nothing to show for after all these years of playing.

The game’s FB page has not been updated since Sept 2020 (almost 6 months), so that’s another sign R/E is not invested to promote the game. I wonder if we can check with greggers to get some inside scoop on what’s in store for the future.

To OP existing TF’s to 25 lvl we need many years. Even if they stop making new TF’s, we have what to do. And runing old event’s for old squads – cost zero for them imo. Cloud server cost some monthly fee, but not much. Many players buying Prime pass, someone buying gems or event tokens. Till money income more then their fees for server, salary etc. – this game will be alive imo. And they can’t fired those employe, who creating TF’s, because they need them to make new Prime pass TF’s. Without Prime pass they will cut money income dramatically. But even without new Prime pass, new TF’s, new territory, this game can be running by 1 expirienced person, like Greg imo. Even without coders, because coders making new bugs, but without new updates – no new bugs :D So I think it’s just temporary, that we don’t have new “free” TF’s. Maybe those, who making new TF’s just very busy in other project, which gives more money, who knows.

I agree with @papakarlo. Even without introducing any new TFs, there are plenty for 99% players to do to overpower, accessorize, earn sparks for their existing TFs. However, that can get old/boring at some point. Especially if there are some concern that all of the effort put into advancing his/her progress could potentially be moot once it all ends.

Personally, I hope they keep the game going. Even without adding new TF or content, you can still play (actively or casually). Hopefully the revenue from PrimePass and players that click on ads is sufficient to keep it going. They probably have some skeleton crew maintaining the game right now. I wouldn’t be surprise if that staff is maintaining half a dozen games simultaneously.

The change in loading splash screen is triggered by the calendar. The version remained the same at 2.10.0.1, so there was no update (not even a soft-patch pushed directly).

Maybe you are overthinking, maybe not. Are you enjoying the game? If so, keep at it. Or enjoy the “no new bot” time off.
