Angry Birds Poached Eggs 3 Star Walkthrough Level 1-12

Our strategy for Poached Eggs level 1-12 is to destroy as much glass as possible. Aim the blue bird at a low arc and multiply him right before the structure to inflict maximum damage. If necessary, use the remaining blue bird to take out the last pig. The score in the video below is 57,490.

Note: The bottom horizontal floor and bottom middle pillar in the video below are ice. On some platforms, and in older versions of the app, the blocks are wood.

61,150 with one bird. How nice of Rovio to change the first floor ceiling to glass and not increase the 3-star threshold.

Also got a one birdie! Little less points, but still a one birdie :)

You can get more points by using a second bird to clean up the remaining blocks ;)
Nice to have you back E-Star.

Aha! I was wondering why it seemed so easy to place high on the leaderboards here. I’m guessing that the roof used to be wood?

Tips for eagle destruction in Chrome:

– I would clear everything on the top of the glass structure, at least to 1 level of debris. Then aim at a high tragectory (because of the sardine can bounce) and get it to land in the center somewhere along the bottom.

– You can also try launching a bird at the top portion of the structure and ramming the can into it. This may not yield as many % points but it’s a try.

I used a high arc with a fairly early split to get a decent score – one bird. How you can get more points with 2 birds is beyond me.

It’s been quite a long time since I have played this level . Tried the videos and was only able to reach a little over 61k . So my strategy is to shoot blue bird in high arc , aiming at point (corner) of second highest part of structure on left . No need for early split of blue . This coming down from the top will yield more destruction . one bird, this is how you earn top scores . Very repeatable.

65270/1 for the daily challenge, by playing @mudshark-70 ‘s high-arc strategy with added detail of @burbman . (on ipad air) was lining up the seat with the left edge of the foliage/grass in the background and splitting such that the puff would be around the upper lining in the background, calibrating by seeing to it that the leftmost bird would end up where the lowest two horizontal glass pieces join (breaking/damaging both). probably there are puppies in there (had another 65k+ score, and several high 64ks in 20 minutes of play).

@vuelva Your great score & excellent description make my video rather redundant, but perhaps you can tell by looking at it, why I still can´t get 65k?

@micromax : i was launching a pixel or two more to the left (not lining up exactly, but a bit of a bump in it). just tried that again and got 65220 within another minute (no more time today or this weekend for that matter). hope this works for you as well, but to get a puppy, better ask DeD ( @lerner )!

Well, did manage to get to the top of challenge list, but that is as far as it goes. Cannot see getting a puppy here even if I had another day (or a week) to try.

Current top score of the level seems possible though not necessarily likely.

@mudshark-70 high arc is what I’ve been using as I slowly moved from 61200 to 62890 last night. This morning after @micromax video & @vuelva “pixel or two to the left” reply I just got 65210.

I just hope this starting Challenge score of 65540 is legit as it’s also by a member who never moved past the rank of Flinger, has no activity from what I can see & was only around for a really short time

Same thanks to @mudshark-70 for the strat and @burbman @vuelva for the extra details. I’ve been splitting at the first colour change in the background, from darker blue to a lighter blue. Then lots of rinse & repeat.

I think the top score is definitely possible, it’s not suspiciously high. Another cracked ice plank & vuelva probably would have beaten it.
The boards are full of scores like this in the older levels, from users who haven’t been around for a long time.
I don’t know if the Nest has any kind of official policy about “inactive” accounts, but I don’t think reasonable scores should be removed for only that reason.
If the score is suspect & can’t be verified, then of course it should be removed (like yesterday’s Challenge).

I think you have a point @karen68 and @justpast40. The player was only active for a short time 2 years ago, and only ever entered scores in the Poached Eggs episode of AB. He/she also posted 2 top scores without any supporting screen shot, and in fact didn’t post any comments at all. Odd.

Not so much an alternate strat as a detailed explanation of @mudshark-70‘s strat above.

Fully zoomed out, you want to center the sling between the two tall pieces of grass surrounding the second blue bird on the ground. High arc aimed at the second highest corner. Split the bird so that the upper of the trio destroys the far right side of the structure, knocking the stone plank at the bottom over.

Once I zeroed in on this aim point, it took many tries before I could get the far left piggie to die, but when it did, it was worth the effort, with routine scores over 60k.

Thanks @mudshark-70 and @burbman – diving from above got me another 1500 points. (I came into today’s challenge just above 60k and after an hour didn’t have much hope of improving on that.) For the record, I’ve never seen a 2 bird score above 58k so if there’s a pig left behind after bird 1, and your current high is already 58 or above – reset. Good luck, all!
