A good strategy for Poached Eggs level 1-11 is to launch the red bird so it hits the high left stone block on the first tower. This should produce enough force to take it down and pop all pigs in its path. The score in the video below is 55,190.
Version 2022:
Skipping the top left stone over the right stone so it lands in the right structure causing damage prior to the left structure falling. Line up the top left corner of the launch basket with the grey line of the mountains in the background.
It provided a 2k in points.
The other possibility is to hit the pig and launch the right stone and bird into the right structure prior to the left structure falling. The lineup is between the top left corner of the launch basket and the bottom tail feather of the bird. Worked once but did not produce a higher score.

However I was thrilled to just get myself out of the thousands and into the hundreds on this one!! @kimmiecv I know what you mean about being in the thousands and trying to get into the hundreds on the Leader Boards. When I get lucky, and get in the top 100, I do the Rocky theme. My wife thinks I am nuts. Have to good day kimmi and wish you the best.
I guess the background scene is a bit different on my Droid from your device, and when I try to match the slingshot basket angle as you describe, the result is not the same. So I adjusted the angle to get the bird to hit the stones as you mentioned. I got to take out all the pigs but couldn’t get above 58k. Then after about 30 tries, I got lucky and everything collapsed as expected for a nice surprising high score. Thank you very much!

I’ve hit the left stone, which (while smashing the pig) hit the right stone, which fell down and broke glass in right structure. When left structure collapsed, everything got crushed.
Little less score than yours, 60,350. But still fair enough I think. And this method is slightly easier in my opinion.

Replaying some ABO levels to try and improve my poorer scores. Note that the top scorer on this level – @goose – has a terrific score 3K higher than second place. Any tips goose as to how to get such a high score? I’m finding it really tough to even beat my current 61K score. Thanks!

To be honest I don’t remember! I did when the game first came out!

I just had my fastest “quick luck” ever in my Angry Birds history.
So after a nearly 8 year pause from this level/game, I got to this level again. Personal best from 2013 was 57620. I now do one or two tries and get 47k something. Then, one more try and I get a freakin’ 62740. In like 20 seconds of total playtime xD and 69th place among 4132 players.
Probably luck like this won’t ever happen again lol.
