Pop-up Porn Ads in Angry Birds (Investigating) Page 2

  • Sorry to re-open this up but I am using an HTC One Mini running Android 4.4 with Lockout installed, I've been playing AB original and AB Go! for some time now - long story short I only just started (about a month ago) to play AB Seasons - I loaded it from Google Play and have definitly not hacked my machine in any way - but nonetheless I am getting random porn "adverts" popping up. They appear most times when you would expect another advert to appear (the times when they appear "out of no where" I suspect are when the "slim" adverts at the top right corner of the play-screen would appear). Every time it happens it appears to open my browser and first navigate to "alegs.numlus.info/m.php?s={some base64 encoded string}" then the porn site appears. If I just hit the "back" button on my phone I am actually shown the advert I guess AB was trying to display to me. I am prepared to have it proven to me that this is some sort of virus or trojan that my AV software hasn't detected but the fact that it does not happen in any of the other games (AB original or AB Go!) and the fact that it has obviously been around since 2012 (when this topic was started) makes me think my AV software would have stood a good chance of detecting it. As suggested I will be contacting Rovio about it but I wanted to refresh the topic to show that it is still happening and to provide a small amount of solice to the others out there seeing it to know they are not alone - and if I do get a response from Rovio I will of course post it here. My real suspicion here is that Rovio are using some advert agency and someone has hacked that agency's database of adverts injecting some porn URLs, but we shall see.
