The History of Angry Birds Music + a Preview of “On Finn Ice” by Apocalyptica

It’s a foregone conclusion that if you are reading this here on the Nest, then you are a fan of Angry Birds games.  While we all enjoy the gameplay, it’s easy to overlook just how much effort Rovio puts into these games.  Character design, sound effects, logos and other items tend to get taken for granted.

One area that Rovio puts a lot of work into are the soundtracks.  From the original Angry Birds theme by Ari Pulkkinen to the Vince DiCola score for Angry Birds Transformers, you can’t help but to be impressed at the amount of work put in by Rovio and their collaborators.  Slash, Apocalyptica, Green Day. There was even talk of a KISS/Angry Birds game at one point.

What you may not know is that there are several several albums and singles you can purchase and download from Rovio. Whether you enjoy video game music or just love Angry Birds, there are a lot of choices to choose from, which are listed below.  For the purposes of this article, the list focuses solely on Rovio songs available in iTunes.  While other music sites may have a few of these available, iTunes seems to be the best, most complete repository.
