I did it – I managed to 3-star this boss fight using:
Cosmic Samurai (Grand Slam set)
Elite Priest (Nightmare set)

Just found out that Fruit Nibblers is officially done. The game’s official Facebook page stated there will be no more updates that would add new levels, or probably any updates in general. The game ended, having a total of 2900 levels.

The error is normal – Rovio discontinued the game over a month ago. The game’s servers were shut down and the game itself was removed from all app stores, therefore the game can never be played again.

No update for the original AB game to celebrate its 8th Birdday, so I’d say this game is pretty much done with updates. But let me know if there’s info that suggests otherwise.
