• Our strategy for High Dive Level #16 is to take out the left structure with a Red bird. Use the Pink bird to float pebbles into the newly-created gap and onto the trigger below. This should finish off the level. […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #15 is to employ an aquatic version of the Reverse Remi Shot: Send the Boomerang bird backwards through the gap between the slingshot platform and the solid wall. Shortly after […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #14 is to fling the Orange bird into the gap between the two farthest structures. Sending a second Orange bird nearly straight down should blast the TNT under the left structures. […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #13 is to fling the Blue birds into the leftmost elevated tent, dropping TNT onto the structures below. Send the Pink bird through the newly-created path underwater to the two […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #12 is to cause the middle structure to lean leftward, using a Yellow bird into its left side. Use the White bird if the cage on the right side remains locked. The score in the […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #11 is to push the stones from the elevated tent rightward using a Black bird. Then clean up the left side using more Bombs. The score in the video below is 144,880.

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #10 is to target the TNT in the middle of the level with a Yellow bird. It should be clear how to do this, since there’s a giant wooden arrow pointing at it. Then shake the […]

    • Ok. I think some things were programming changes more than fixing crashes in an update between February and May.
As of May 2014, it is really difficult to get anything higher then 105k…. for me, the average score is in the 90k ranges with use if all the different stars. This is using one, two or three birds, the score comes out in the same range in 99 out of 100 flings. I could sometimes get into the lower 100k range if lucky with fall out.

So this is what I get for going late to the party? Blah humbug!
I swear, the programmers must read the comments on this site before programming fixes so they can also tighten up any unintended scoring holes?!?!?

If I did get a one bird hit, with first bird hitting the left corner of raft exploding it and also continues to the trigger the fuse. When this fuse triggers the TNT to clear the two levels above, the lower level bottom left (#^?¥%£€*#) TNT NEVER goes off. This has held true for me only if I blew up the raft first…… So this keeps my one bird scores low with lack of all the points in the lower left TNT area. I can (most every time) explode all TNT in the two whole upper levels including that lower left TNT, but not if it is a one bird hit! The destruction of the upper levels by the fuse trigger is all up to luck. The only control or skill would be where you hit the fuse, then fall out is out of your hands after that.

After days, hours and hundreds of flings with many one bird hits, I have just been unlucky to get that bottom TNT to explode to get a decent one bird score! But I was lucky enough once on a two bird finish, to quickly get a three bird off to the very upper level with good hit for the debris falling off the right off screen for score barely in the 112k range… At this time 112k puts me at the very bottom of top 100, good enough for me for now….moving on.

    • I long suspected this was possible: one birder for 134,340! The first and only bird up top to the upper platform. The following trifecta caused the perfect storm that allowed for this score to happen:

      1. YB head-on to the plank above the TNTs on the upper platform, causing everything on that shelf to fall down to the lower platform.

      2. TNT on “wheels” moves slower than usual to the left and falls *in between* two towers on the lower platform. Almost everything gone.

      3. Raft was hit by debris “just right” and it was blown to smitheerens by one of those huge explosions. Almost everything gone but I suspect that big wooden plank is worth 2k so higher score is possible (go for it @crivit!).

      Rio High Dive Level 10

      • Nice shooting @fenikus. This must be a one in a million shot, wow!!!!
Gave me encouragement that high scores can still be done.
I am going to give it another couple of hours of fling time.
Top level first shot, if not good, reset, retry.

        • Ladybird Di (@diannas), I owe you a big thanks. After reading your post above, I was curious to see if scoring has really changed on this level and decided to give it a few more flings. 5 minutes later (I don’t mean to rub it in), I reclaimed my top spot on both this level and High Dive overall! I think you are my lucky charm :) If you ever stop by The Bloated Pig pub, I will buy you a drink or two.

p.s. It sure feels lonely out here when you are catching up on the episode, doesn’t it? It feels like you’re taking to yourself, I’ve been there. Well, a lot of people, including myself, subscribe to receive email notification when a new comment is posted on a level, so people are listening.

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #9 is to blast the bottom-right cages with a Black bird, then fling Big Brother through the elevated tent. He should bounce through to the boulder beyond, triggering the TNT to […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #8 is to aim the White bird for the nearest floating structure, but underwater. Release her egg bomb rather deep in the water so it pops up and breaks the planks above. Use Big […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #7 is to speed a Yellow bird through the rope in the middle of the level and into the tent beyond. Then use Big Brother to release both the submerged dolphins and the TNT. The […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #6 is to toss the Boomerang bird over everything, spinning him back into the wooden legs on the right side of the tower. Be careful, since the bird is still buoyant! The falling […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #5 is to bomb the base of the main structure with the White bird. The Red bird that precedes her should be used to clear a path as best as possible. The score in the video below […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #4 is to release the submerged TNT with a Yellow bird, then blasting the right side of the level with a Black bird. The score in the video below is 140,970.

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #3 is to fling the Yellow bird below the first structure, speeding for the wooden planks on the far right side of the level. The switch should drop stones onto the middle […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #2 is to fling the Black bird underwater and into the concrete structure beyond. For higher scores, we think it’s better to let Bomb detonate automatically as the structure falls […]

  • Our strategy for High Dive Level #1 is to fling the Red bird underwater to release the TNT. Easy as pie to start off the episode. The score in the video below is 55,200.

  • We haven’t discussed this yet, @chriss. Working on getting the “normal” stuff live first, then we’ll address such formalities.

Thanks so much for the feedback and I’m glad you like it thus far.

For the who’s online widget, I do plan on making improvements to it. It’s not an easy one though, so it’ll take some time.

  • Is anyone else having problems downloading the update? I hard closed everything and restarted my iPad, and after a wait, the Rio icon now appears on the App Store update page, and it might actually be updating. […]
