Why don’t the new Surf & Turf scores not count on Game Center?? That stinks, because now the totals no longer can be used as a cross check without first subtracting the Surf & Turf scores.. Maybe the Surf & Turf scores should be listed separately since its really not a real ABO episode, but more of a Facebook version advertisement…
I do think they are real AB scores, but that game center has not been updated yet. I takes some times to get updated. But I know what you means, it still has the score minus S&T in game center today.

Why is paulimik’s “Level 5 Top Score” back up there. It was removed and now it’s back! That score is from the Facebook game and does not belong here. Sorry, I don’t think I’m going to be trusting too many of the scores listed here. Yes, I know I haven’t listed any so why should it matter to me. It matters because to me, it affects the credibility of the leaderboards and I love this website and up until now have trusted the leaderboards. Fake top scores are quickly removed but there seems to be a problem with this level. I know why – it’s because there are 2 Surf & Turf leaderboards and too many people don’t understand the difference between them. I also don’t trust the early Android top scores because S&T only went to Android a couple of days ago.
As I mentioned in the Forum post I did on this topic, there is a lot of confusion over the 2 Surf & Turf leaderboards.
As I said, we are working on it.

When I said “I’ve not listed any scores” I was only referring to the S&T ABO Leaderboard. I have listed scores in the levels I’m allowed to (223 so far) so that’s why I do care. My post was to report a problem and no way as far as I’m concerned, did I insult anyone. If I did insult Slim then I sincerely apologise – it was not intended. Pointing out something is confusing and that people are listing scores in the wrong places is the sort of thing I thought the creators, moderators wanted members to do. I re-reported this problem because paulimik put their score back again after it had been removed! I probably won’t ever get a top score but I admire people who do and I thought Julian13100 deserved their top score spot especially since they’ve lost their Most Points Overall top. In other words, my “point” was to have the Julian13100 gain back their leader spot and to tell people here in this section the problem having 2 S&T Leaderboards has created. It’s not Slim or anyone’s fault – Rovio caused it.
So, I’m sorry Slim if you were insulted – again a reiterate – it was not intended. I know you are working on it and as I’ve said elsewhere on this website I appreciate all your hard work.
I wasn’t insulted. I agree 100% that it is an issue, and BirdLeader and I are brainstorming ways to minimize the occurrences. We have a few ideas ready, it will just be a matter of finalizing the ideas and putting them into action on the site.

There’s power up scores on here. I think this will continue to be a problem with PE and MH. I don’t know what users are thinking when they see that their scores are all #1 for some strange reason? Do they really think they are the best AB player in the world? lol.
No, it’s not. Not even close. Unless the tall block happens to fall on it’s own toward the 3 smaller ones, it’s conceivable, but you’d definitely need a little proof.
I live in Nowhereville Idaho and there are times when service is in and out. Will the score’s update automaic when I do get service or do I need to send a screenshot? I see n/a listed with some scores. Thanks.
Onthe leaderboard you have to manually enter your scores .this site is not directlly connected to the game itself…no matter what your servi ce or connection ;) hope your service improvez though :)

As Kathy said, our boards are not synced with GameCenter, nor would we like them to be for that matter (too many holes). You must manually enter your scores.

Level 7 surf and Turf I found much easier to geta higher score fling in 2 quick bombs well placed with a whole lot of luck! Finially hit an average score. whheew!

@maryspitfire I woudn’t worry too much about that comment. The reason that was deleted was because it was unhelpful and unnecessary (I believe). I nearly commented on it as such myself, but refrained from doing so. I will say what I was going to say now however. That user I believe to be spamming to try and bump his points. I’m sorry you feel this way about the site, and if you hang around, I’m sure you’ll find that that is the exception rather than the rule. Most of us here wouldn’t say that (@kathy, @kartflyer, etc) That comment was posted by a new user, BTW. I must admit I feel in a similar way to you that it would be nice to have a leaderboard for PE and MH as well (I am a FB player, just not primarily) Once again, it’s a shame to see a person leave this site, but I wish you all the best with your AB :)

perhaps it’s my ignorance or not communicating properly, it’s not the leaderboards i care about having my scores in, but under the angry birds facebook section, it seems odd no plans to put in the other sections that can be played on that within facebook, so i can enter my scores there, again, i either didn’t communicate that properly to the suggested admin who said he will delete my account and i explained that to him. hopefully correctly.

Facebook scores are not wrong, fake or bad. The power-ups are part of the game. You also have to think about how to use which power-up in order to have a good score.
Since there are already 2 leaderboards for Surf and Turf (one for Facebook and one for the other devices), it is absolutely not logic why there are no seperate leaderboards for Pached Eggs and Mighty Hoax.
Seems like it might be a lot of work and space for the admins…i am sure they have good reason..i think we should all just be thankful for the wonderful site they have provided for.AB by itself without this site would be a pretty lonely place:)
When ifirst started AB..i didnt know where to turn for help..after each level it said ” need help” bing…i found a site. Mobi something by tim with walkthroughs , no videos, maybe screenshots i think…but no player interaction..no leaderboards..just help…i loved it. Then it went away…i found this site and it was cool! Was scared to post scared to compete on leaderboards cuz i thought i wasnt good enough(lol not that i am now) but one day i asked for help…laurence came to my rescue, along with many other players who are way better than me by far:) and then after months i thought what the heck started posting scores:) have made many valueable freindships and have improved my shooting tremendously! I am very grateful for this site! Thank you BL, slim and fujitoast..lol dont know why i started this post but anyway lost my train of thought….thanks all this site is great no matter what complaints any one has:) keep up the good work!

No Kathy, you didn’t confuse me, i was really meaning my response to the two different leader-boards that Chris was talking about, and i agree with him, fb is not wrong. i go for hitting with the birds, which i’m sure we’ve all called stupid at time, haha and use it as that alone without power ups, funny on that game though, and i’ve said it elsewhere, that on fb, you can hit the birds exactly as shown in video’s whether it be angry birds nest video’s or someone else’s video, and they won’t have the same effect sometimes, then i just say, wow, that bites and keep trying.
i’ve gotten feedback that says no, but playing it, seems to be quite a few times, it’s different, you can just never tell.

I know EXCATLY what you mean about starting over again! It can get pretty tedious after a while! I would definitely recommend it for the levels that aren’t on FB though :)
i just might, first i’m trying to beat my scores in poached eggs, since i didn’t have vid help when first doing them, the fun part about this game is figuring out the structure and principles of it and i am thinking, i want to compare the difference between fb and chrome game and see how they differ when struck.

BTW, there is a free online version of AB called Angry Birds Chrome, which contains a few more levels than facebook, and those scores ARE allowed on the leaderboards (with the exception of Seasons Greedings) Chrome doesn’t have powerups (which is why those scores area allowed), so if you want a free version of the game in which you can enter your scores, I’d check it out :)

I have a question?? i restarted on chrome ab–free of course, i went to My leaderboard to enter scores but the numbers after 1-3 start with II, what happened to 1-4 and forward?? since i’m trying that one now, because fb is being very glitchy right on AB, where do i enter these scores?? and how does it show i’m using chrome when i want too??
Chrome can go on the ABo leaderboard. “Seasons” scores from Chrome cannot be entered, though (too many discrepancies)

I think you were trying to enter scores on the AB Free leaderboard. You need to go to the regular Angry Birds Leaderboard to enter scores.

If you are entering scores from Chrome, they can go here (Poached Eggs, Mighty Hoax, Danger Above).
“Angry Birds Free” is an app for iOS devices, completely separate situation.

can it be that when i shut off computer i do %temp% and delete files and then run my cc cleaner???
That’s precisely the reason. Chrome scores are stored in your local Internet storage. We have directions on how to save these scores.
I have more question in that section, and i had to uninstall and re install firefox, it messed up the files, just waiting on the help.
Sorry, I’m really not sure. I think you should just copy the entire file to the desktop instead of saving it in Notepad.
okay, after uinstalling and reinstalling my browser, i was able to copy and paste to the desktop, but it was locked in the format of notepad, and i was thinking, maybe that’s the problem i’m having, so then i told it to do it in the format of the firefox browser. if the file is sqlite, do you know what type of format this should be in? so i can get it corrected??

How do you compare two players’ scores which neither one of them are yourself? I’ve seen it done before, but can’t figure it out.
Copy a user’s number(for example, mine is 15314). You can find this in the address bar of the user’s leaderboard you’re looking at. Go to another user’s leaderboard and go to the desired chapter. Click compare. This will compare your scores to the other user’s. Take that number you copied earlier and replace it with the number at the end of the address bar.

Some levels in Chrome are different (amount/kind of birds and structure type, wood or stone)… usually for the worse. :)

actually i got mad when it erased my info and trying to figure out the saved file thing going on, i’m all confuzzled. i might just try erasing the saved file and start over, probably a glitch on my part i’m thinking….which i shouldn’t do, it gets me into trouble and complicates things……however, ending with that note, that’s probably the best thing to do.
@Slim, I know it’s been mentioned before, but can you kindly explain why the Facebook Leaderboard only lists Surf & Turf? Obviously those players have nowhere else to list there other scores so they come on here. You can see by just looking at the totals of the players listing scores its off by approximitly the same number of Facebook users. (Mearsured between the the total, 3214, and total of Poached Eggs,2943, these 2 have always been very close) Seems likes lot of extra work for you to moderate..
We believe adding another PE or MH leaderboard will actually cause more issues than it would fix.
??? You have another Surf & Turf.??.. Most of the contested Facebook scores have been posted in PE & MH. There may be some also in S&T but I’m not sure about that.. They have no place else to put their scores so naturally they post them in ABO..
The Facebook leaderboard was created on the assumption that “Surf and Turf” was going to remain Facebook-exclusive. The fact that Rovio changed that is actually an inconvenience here on ABN and crosses A LOT of wires. Perhaps BirdLeader and I will discuss the Facebook leaderboards again soon, but we are first working on a notification system that will alert Facebook users against entering scores on the ABo leaderboards. (Similarly, alert Chrome users against entering scores on the ABS leaderboards.)
Thanks for that explanation.. I’ve always been under the impression that Surf & Turf was nothing more than a Facebook promotion anyway, since it was never named world 19 and isn’t included in the Game Center rankings.. I wouldn’t have a problem if it were delisted as a ABO level altogether…
That’s a good point. May there is a way that we could simply separate the ABO Surf and Turf scores by simply giving them their own separate leaderboard. It’s just an idea. And are they going to do anything else with Birdday Party, and give us some more Orange Bird levels? Perhaps only Rovio knows the answer to this.
Anybody can enter the highscore while updating it is a manual system.

New Application should be created for android user.
Updating automatically from devices is impossible and we rely on the community to keep our Leaderboards honest. And GameCenter is easily hacked.
But the advantage we have is that we can delete scores, and we can ban users from using our Leaderboards when the vandalize. Which is precisely what has been done to you.
Question for some of you elite on GameCenter that pay close attention to the high scores… I just noticed somewhere else that ernor63 recently posted a 3,860,190 on Mighty Hoax (seemed like it went up maybe 10k+ per day the last few days).
Has ernor shown a really high score on GameCenter for awhile and just recently got around to updating it online, or has he made an extremely big push in the last week or so to get the score up to that level?
Just curious, since I’ve got an Android phone so no access to GameCenter. Also, any other legit players with really high, but “unpublished” scores that I would be interested in?

I noticed ernor63 had a much higher score on GC compared to here for a long time, so I figured he may not have had time, or lost interest to update here.
Who is Nev? Seems like bastieroxxor is still leading in most cases. Not sure where to find another 700,000 to catch up with that. Heck, I need to find another 75,000 or so to get over the 30 million hump in GC, which does not count S&T yet, and that is difficult enough already.

It’s amazing how good some of these players are… I’ve decided to specialize in Mighty Hoax and I’m having a hard time trying to keep up with the players who aren’t specializing.
Pointdexter- good luck getting that additional 75,000. I suggest working through a particular episode from top to bottom with a goal for every level, like top 50 on this site or something like that. It might help keep you more focused. Plus, once you’re done you’ll climb the leaderboards significantly on that particular episode. Just don’t do it on Might Hoax though! :)
I want to be in the top 10, or top 5 in every episode. I’m close already, but in some it’s a bit more difficult compared to others. I generally look at my score compared to max, as well as my ranking overall. For example, when I’m in the top 20 for one specific level, but 10k off the lead, the top spot could be fake, or just a lucky shot. So it taken reviewing the level and top 10 players to determine if it’s worth playing. If I’m 5k from the top, but ranked 200-300 or more, I know I’m more likely to improve as many players are. The goal is to be in the top 100 for each level. It takes time however, because is some levels it’s just that lucky shot, in others it’s replaying until stuff starts falling without birds used. I just don’t enough time sometimes to sit and play for a couple hours. I’m sure I can find the 75k eventually, just have to find more time first.
It’s funny that you mention levels where stuff starts falling without birds being used. Those levels are great to play when reading…
1. restart level
2. read a paragraph
3. check if stuff fell. if yes, play on
4. repeat
This method can also be used when playing single-shot levels where the shot doesn’t have to be super precise
Yes it’s true I didn’t update my score here for a long time. I’ve done it now. I prefer an other site for daily updates of my scores. But I will update here occasionally. Me and some shooting buddies did a revisit of ABOriginal this spring and I did some nice gains. I sat my goal to catch Bastie and I was only 20K behind at one moment. He saw the threat and has pushed on himself he told me. We still have the last 3 episodes to do so I still think there is a couple of 100K’ there for me. But for the moment I’ve more into improving up my Seassons scores where I have some really poor episodes. BTW: Nev’s scores are generally a little better then mine and on average points per level they are the same as Basties’ if not a little better.

I have been playing AB Space, and just recently started Seasons, just to get a little break fom AB original. I have fallen however from 5 to 10 in the mean time, so need to work on this again. It’s just been really hard the past year with going back to school for my masters. 3 more weeks and I’m done, so at that point, I will come back to AB original, them will start entering scores for space and seasons. Not sure if I can reach the levels of you guys, but think I’m a respectable player overall.

Thanks guys! I’m doing my masters in MIS, Solutions Architect concentration. I have a bachelors in CIS, but with programming jobs moving overseas, MIS made more sense, and also following the management track. Also thought an MBA was not technical enough and a dime a dozen.

Stephen Hundred has a few top scores that seem high in Poached eggs, especially 1-2 and 1-1. He is PC, but there’s always an exception.
@tnatiuk17piano, I find it extremely implausible that you have fourteen top scores in Poached Eggs. Nobody else – including the top scorer – has more than two. I know that you have screenshots for two of the scores, but honestly, unless you’ve devoted your entire life to this episode, I just don’t think it’s possible to earn that many top scores. The competition is just too intense, and getting the highest score just depends too much on the luck of blocks falling exactly the right way. What platform are you currently playing on? Do you have screenshots for the other twelve top scores, and for your total score?
He’s been using Chrome for Poached Eggs, I believe.
Yes, I figured that he was using a web-based platform like the rest of the top eight (?). But even then, like I said, I really don’t see how he could possibly have seven times as many top scores as any other player. It would require that the blocks fell EXACTLY right, time and time again, so I just don’t think I buy it.
Also, I’m sure you’ve been asked many times before, but how do you plan to deal with the scores from the web-based platforms in the future? Those players obviously have a sizable, unfair advantage over everyone else, and yet even if you were to create a separate leaderboard (which I understand you would strongly prefer to avoid), the “damage” has already been done as so many of these scores have already been entered.
I have not been using Chrome for Poached eggs. I uploaded all of the images for my scores on imagebam and posted the link here. I have been lucky quite a few times and played many hours. If you want me to redo the levels just to make it look like I am not cheating, I will… but I don’t even have all 3 stars on Chrome, because I don’t play it much anymore.

@tnatiuk17piano, I hope you can understand why it looks so suspicious.
-For one, you only seem to have two other episodes in which you’re remotely close to ranking as highly, and those are in Seasons. Perhaps you just haven’t gotten around to the others, but it does look unusual.
-For another, I think it would take literally millions of resets to overcome the luck factor and get so many top scores. I hope you can appreciate the apparent statistical improbability.
-And lastly, the players who have been around forever and are consistent top scorers (ernor63, bastieroxxor, Mr.Potato, Furpecto_The_Sharp, etc.) are tightly clustered around 4.5M. At least on first blush, it’s a little hard to see how you would have scored an extra 85k+ on them considering that their relative placement on the leaderboard suggests that they’re nearing realistic limits.
Now, I suppose that all of those players earned their scores when the levels were still in their original iteration. Since the changes Rovio made to them almost uniformly made them easier to score highly on, perhaps there really is an extra 85k sitting there, ready to be taken. But to be honest, I’d have to see screenshots of the rest of those scores to believe it. It would be quite helpful if you found that link.

It’s clear why Facebook scores can’t be entered here on the ABO leaderboard, but what about Chrome, Google+ and Fuji TV, where Poached Eggs is played the same way as on the main platforms? That scores can be entered here or just the Android, iOS, PC etc. scores?
Chrome and Google+ scores are definitely allowed. I assume Fuji TV scores are allowed too, but I’m not entirely sure.
Don’t know if this has been discussed before, but what about a notification the first time a user tries to enter a score on Poached Eggs, saying that Facebook scores are not allowed? Especially if the user’s main platform is Facebook. It would save a lot of grief. :)
We have some ideas.
Rather than a separate leaderboard for each platform, could you guys devise a handicapping system? So one platform gets adjusted scores multiplied by 1.02345, while another gets a multiplier of 0.98765 or whatever. Each player would have to indicate their platform. The multipliers would have to be derived from some averages by level. Still wouldn’t be perfect though.

Hi, I came to this site to compare my some of my scores on here. I play on Facebook so I realise I can’t submit any so I was just wanting to compare. One level I wanted to check I can’t find however. On Facebook it’s Surf and Turf 23 but on here it only goes to 15.
Are some levels unique to facebook or is there something I’m missing?
You are probably trying to enter your scores on the wrong leader board.

This is the only Facebook leader board available at this time. We kindly ask Facebook users to only enter their Surf and Turf scores on the appropriate section. ( Facebook Poached Eggs and Mighty Hoax do not have a leader board )

I wish I could compare my score with others on the same platform! I use an iPhone and it’s really hard to see what I’m doing.

I’m not originally from the US, so just live and work here, not a big fan of college ball. Do like the NFL however, and am a Broncos season ticket holder.

I think I remember hearing this report once before, and I’m 99% sure the answer is the internet shouldn’t be required, at least on my dad’s Samsung Galaxy SI – I can check with him though :)
