Angry Birds Seasons Trick or Treat Level 2-3 Walkthrough

One strategy Trick or Treat level 2-3 is to fire the Yellow bird through the higher vertical wooden block on the left side, clearing the left side and the bottom pig. Blast the horizontal plank on the right side separating the two remaining pigs to finish the level. The score in the video below is 81,540.

I thought you had perfection there… I couldn’t get lucky enough to get the single bird.

I managed 88,510 with two birds:

1st shot as in video
2nd shot same angle, shoot for lower part of the horizontal wooden plank for total devastation :)

By Dallas mcnally

i got 87300 with one bird

I got 90 thousand 1 bird through the bottom wood planks the whole structure fell!

As per what Dave said, this method (hitting the bottom wood plank instead of the top like the video) is more doable using one bird, I’ve tried this method over & over again & its absolutely doable & easier! I find that if you hit the bottom plank & kill the pig there, the whole first tower will slowly collapse & the top horizontal structure (that is connecting with both towers) pulls the second tower down with it & with some luck, obviously the more bricks & woods you break at the end, the more you score. 88620

What i find most annoying is the first bird didn’t perish before the first tower collapses; getting in the way of a great process / destroying more objects as they collapsing! :(

I’ve only been able to get a one-bird solution by this method. You have to make sure that you miss the horizontal wood block on the first stack (it takes too much energy away) and get all the way through the lower pig to hit the stone. It only causes the collapse about half of the time when I do that, and then only on about half of those times does it pull everything down and kill all of the pigs. Sometimes you just get a big pileup with the two pigs on the right and/or the middle one still alive. As to the first bird hanging around too long, I think that may be an advantage sometimes, depending upon how the rest falls, because it acts as a lever to help “throw” the falling material to the left. I got 95,550 after many tries.

Wow, @snoid! I am impressed! The debris doesn’t seem to want to break for me!

A couple of observations.

I don’t think it really matters whether you hit the tiny horizontal piece iof wood between the blocks. It seems to me that it isn’t the velocity/force of the YB that matters as much as simply popping the bottom pig. With the left-bottom support gone, and the pig popped, the pig above it rolls slowly to the left. This shift in weight is what seems to cause things to collapse.

There is no question that the outcome is variable. More times that not I ended up with a big messy pile of debris and pigs. The L-factor plays am important role here. Cross your fingers and hope for good destruction. If not, rinse and repeat.

@snoid, I’m guessing that the whole structure fell to the left? For a while, I kept getting mediocre one-birders (79k to 82k) where both towers collapsed into the middle, and the resulting debris destruction was pretty poor. Eventually, as you said, the yellow bird stayed around and helped the first tower roll left while pulling the second along with it. That gave me a much nicer-looking, although certainly unspectacular, 89k.

@austinrhl I had to go back and try it again to see, and found that you’re right, both towers fall to the left. I got over 94k on my second try, and the YB had disappeared by the time everything fell, so the leverage effect isn’t necessary for a high score, probably just plain luck. And @doctonynyc, I agree that the pig rolling slowly to the left is what brings the house down, but it works better the farther you push the stone block behind the lower pig to the right, which is why I think that the velocity of the YB is relevant.

By Chicadee (@chicadee)Score: 94,220

I agree with you @snoid re you need to miss the horizontal wood block/come in as low as possible, still kill the pig and nudge the stone at its base. After many tries and only getting around 89,000 I finally got 92,300 and noticed that that same stone you need to nudge, also needs to stay on the ledge and not fall to the right. I initially thought it was crucial that it did fall to make way for the left hand collapse that is necessary to get maximum destruction but I was wrong. (Now, when I see that block fall right/into the centre, I reset straight away.) The YB does need to stick around for a short time to help with the leverage but also needs to disappear fairly quickly to assist in further collapse. I also agree that velocity is a must and I boost YB immediately on release.

When I got my best score (to date 94,220), I noticed the “nudge stone” did actually finally fall right but not until the end.

@snoid Thanks to you and wilks666 for posting your strategies and tips. I agree that missing the bottom horizontal wood block on the left does make a difference. Increased my score from 88k to the present by missing that tiny piece of wood. Each time I hit that piece of wood could not get into the 90k range.
Also, having the Yellow Bird assist as a “wheel” to roll the stack and debris to the left is essential to get into 90k.
Overall it seems the lower the Yellow Bird lands in the bottom box with the left most pig the better the destruction.
Aiming tips: Zoom out and use the top of the pine tree in the background for a more consistant landing location. If one is going to activate the Yellow Bird upon launch just cover the very tip of the tree with the base of the bird. If one is going to activate the Yellow Bird near the structure pull the bottom of the bird down about half way from the tree top to the first tree branch. Found the best results for the second technique was to activate it on the downward path of the bird’s flight so it hits the bottom horizontal stone plank and the far right corner. I have not determined which activation technique is the best. Received 90k scores using both.
Also, wait for the structure to fall. At times it does not fall right away and it does produce good scores with a delayed fall.

@kathy You’ll have to ask someone more knowledgeable than I am to see if your results can be transferred from one device to another. I wasn’t even thinking about that because I use a Mac, which means that many games (especially the Facebook extras in Seasons) haven’t been available to me. I thought that if I bought the game for my new Galaxy S III, maybe I could finally play them and see how my scores really stack up. I still don’t feel the urge that much, so time to go back to downloading and watching animes, which was my favorite pastime before AB came along and hijacked my life.

Last year (2015)I decided I wanted to put up my scores.I had been a member here for over a year by then so I was really procrastinating. I had been playing AB since 2010 so I had a lot of scores to place.I started on the level I was working on and then started going backwards.I finally reached Trick or Treat last night. Today I went in and started updating my scoreboard. To my surprise I discovered I had 4 Top scores. The proof of high score can be found in my album. Special thanks to all the people who posted comments. No thanks go to Rovio for having glitches in there game, correcting the glitch (good) but NOT realigning the scores somehow to accomadate the ridiculous scores of said glitchs.

@dronnord, You need to explain what your strategy is on your top scores. It is customary and required to obtain the trophy.

I cannot see how you could have gained 12K above the second place in this level. Also you will need to upload the 3-star tally screen that shows your score, not just in-game screenshot. Thank you.

I Always follow @e-star videos.. would you like me to add that point to all the notes I made. I have just spent a year trying to get to the best score in every seasons episode from 2016-2010..I do not recall seeing the trophy people making a note about how they got the top score.. there are some very high scores that I didn’t think were attainable. yet I certainly didn’t call them out. I made note that I put proof in my album. What more would you like.? How can I put the 3 star photo when the level was done over a year ago?
