Tips for clearing Chronicle Caves 18 and 19 (or lower if needed)

Hi guys, It's been almost a week since I've completed all the new Chronicles Caves. We all know that Rovio makes them pretty damn hard to clear, but this time it's stupidly difficult. Every pig got a crazy high buff both in damage dealing and HP (speaking about cave 18 and especially 19). Even the less powerful pigs can (almost) one shot your birds. So here there is my strategy I used to more easily defeat the hordes of Pigs. (This guide can be applied to all the other Caves if necessary).1. Have as high as possible Mastery and Level. My birds where all at Mastery level 61 during the battles. Having a Mastery level too low can really be a hindering variable in completing the Caves. So be consistent with your Might Eagle's Dojo visits and bring those Mastery levels up!2. Get plenty of Healing Potions and Veggie Cakes. This is probably the one of (if not THE) most important thing you have to have. Go to Professor Pig's Lab and try to buy the best Cherry Juice, Fruit Cake and Veggie Cake. What I have was: Pompous Pig Cherry Juice Level 3, Pretty Fruit Cake level 6 and Infernal Veggie Cake.3. Have as high as possible Set Items for your Birds. This is also a crucial factor to aid in your mission. Enchant them if you can (mine where just 1 or 2 levels higher).4. If possible, use Set Items with Chain Attack secondary effect. Dragon Breath for Red, Twin Lightining for Chuck, *BEEP* ATTACK for Blues and Scissor for Bomb. My team was Red, Chuck and Bomb. Never used Matilda, rarely used Blues.5. You have to have a FB account with strong friends. Pigiana Jones and Prince Porky are too weak for you to be of any help. Porky has low health and doesn’t deal enough damage to be useful. Pigiana has a nice health gauge but it deals far too low damage. Therefore creat a FB account for the game and try to find people with powerful birds. (If you want, you can add me, just send me a PM or something).6. Have some spare Might Eagle’s Favourite Dish (MEFD) to save you. In case things go for the worse, the MEFD can really be a life-saver. Just don’t abuse it and use it just when necessary, as you got only 1 a month with the Daily Calendar and it’s really expensive (45LC for 3 MEDF).7. Have, if possible, the Golden Chili. It allows you to use the Rage Chili ability right off the bat. It’s worth the 100LC or 125LC (I don’t remember, as I bought it like 15-16 months ago) , especially in those two caves, where the Pigs are so strong.8. Luck (lol). No need to explain it. Hope for the best and just go for it.Finally, I share with you my team of birds. Red Paladin with Dragon Breath set, level 61 Mastery; Chuck Wizard with Twin Lightining set, level 61 Mastery. (Unfortunately I had (and still have) Living Lightning at level 52) and Bomb Seadog with Finisher set, level 61 Mastery. Fortunately for me, my friends’ birds where most of the time Paladin or Wizard, so I just had to borrow his or her bird and just play the level. So, usually what happened was:1st turn: Golden Rage Chili to Chuck. Always. It just deals heavy damage all around. Then I had a couple of choices, based on how many and which Pigs were still alive: a)Attack with either Paladin or Seadog, give the Infernal Veggie cake to one of my birds and use the Rage Chili once again with either Paladin or Seadog. b)Use Gang Up of Seadog to Paladin and attack with Paladin. c)Use Devotion of Paladin to Chuck (very frail bird) to deviate the enemies attack to him. d)Use Devotion of Paladin to Chuck and use Gang Up of Seadog to Paladin.2nd turn: Heal every bird to full with Cherry Juice and Fruit Cake (everytime I want them to be at full health. It’s very crucial, just having a few HP less that full can be the factor of your defeat). Then use the infernal Veggie once again and give the Rage Chili to Chuck.3rd turn: Same thing as turn 2: heal and rage chili to Chuck.Usually I defeat all the Pigs in 2-3 turn, very rarely in 4. The thing that now the stages are just of 3 or 5 hordes helps a lot not waste so many potions or cakes.Tips for cave 18 boss: IMO, best team possible could be: Red Paladin (Grand Slam or in case Protector’s Aura), Matilda Princess (Nightmare, or in case Sweet! and Blues Tricksters (no particular Set). Princess with Nightmare set works well with Rage Chili of Blues, as it stunts the enemy.Tips for cave 19 boss: IMO, best team pssible could be: Red Knight (Protecor’s Aura), Matilda Princess (Nightmare) and Blues Trickesters (no particular Set). The pig is crazy strong (13078 damage + 50% of critical hit) and hyper bulky (almost 327k HP). In this case, if you are not going to use the Mighty Eagle’s Favourited Dish, you have to have Red with at least 4632 if using Protector’s Aura set (5956 for set items that gives you a 8% boost in defense, 6474 if using other set items).Ok, that’s all everybody. I hope this guide could be helpful and useful for you. Comment if you have any doubts.
