Sync across iPhone and iPad….how?

I’m wanting to sync my progress between my iPad and iPhone. I still have a Rovio account and that seems to work sometimes. Although this is now closed for new logins so not sure if it’s still working for existing or when it will close down ? However I can’t seem to find how to login on some older Angry bird games like Space and Star Wars. I know there is a FaceBook login as well, but can’t see this either on some games. I have game centre enabled but it’s the progress I want syncing. It seems so convoluted system, why can’t it be simple login   Thanks
