So what’s up with Unicron?

He’s been a total no-show for me in this event and the last two events (Easter Eggsperiment and Highway to Destruction) and I’m fairly sure I didn’t see him during Damage Optimized either.

Anyone else missing the Big Guy, or is it just me?

I think this is the longest stretch that I haven’t had a Unicron run.

Now that you’ve mentioned it, I realized that it has indeed been a long time ago since I’ve seen Unicron in an event. I don’t know which has been the last time, but as already said, this was long ago.

I think we’ll only get the unicron in some events from now on… But like last time you’ll get him more often which is great! I do miss him because of the large amounts of points you’ll get when destroying him. Last event we saw him was with goldbite grimlock.

I was able to unlock Alpha Trion from one of ten gold crates gotten the Token Exchange.

Regardless of how well he performs in the game, I’m still disappointed with how this character was created for the game. Rovio/Exient could have done much better when designing this character, such as create body template that is entirely different than all of the other (already existing) body templates, and is completely unique to all Transformers characters that are played by the Mighty Eagle.

Maybe I’m missing your point, but Alpha Trion is as far as I know the only bot in ABT that is played by the Mighty Eagle.
On the other hand, Breakdown isn’t played by a unique character. So maybe you’re mixing things up (or it could be that I don’t understand you correctly).

He hasn’t been removed, he is back down to his regular spawn rate (Guaranteed 1 in 20 each day). Some events we like to increase that to keep things interesting.

What do you guys think of boss fights (Unicron/Boss Pig)? Something you would like to see more of in the future?

@lewie4 I think that a players opinion to vote “for or against” your idea of having more boss fights will largely depend on their level in the game.
Since I’ve been playing ABT almost from the start of it and thus having a high level, I would favour your idea.
But I can imagine that players having a low level in this game might have a problem with this. However, from what I can remember from my early days (when I also played with a low level) is that Unicron runs were still preferable over “normal” runs.
So let players (with or without a low level) give also their opinion.

I’m averaging 30+ runs per day and I haven’t seen him at all in the most recent three special events.

That does not reconcile with your guaranteed 1 in 20 each day.

I have had the same experience as @optimuspig.  In general the boss fights are ok, unicron is great for the high scores it can bring.  Boss pig, for me, comes up way too often and is boring.   I often get back to back boss pigs, sometimes (recently) as many as 6/8.

Also repetitive and annoying, but off topic:  the river levels with the slow motion portals.  I seem to get those more than any other area in events, by a lot.

Same here last three events no unicron. Played enough runs everyday so normally I would have seen him.

I’ve spoke to the development team so they can look into this further. If there is an issue I’ll ensure that it is fixed :)
