Well I haven’t deleted the game yet, but did get a response to my second request for help. Rovio deposited 400 gems in my meager funds and said they were aware of the problem and were working to fix the issue. As to the game closing they suggested I uninstall and reinstall the game. If I uninstall the game I won’t be reinstalling it. I’ll let you know if I hear anything more.
