FYI, I was curious about how the strategy I suggested above would work without all my enchanted set items, etc. So I crafted some non-set items from blueprints on my anvil, and tried it out a bit. Very challenging! I lost the battle on my first attempt, and had to use a few potions to win on the next two. And those were only on 3-stamina battles!
Now, by switching weapons/off-hand items, I basically cut my birds’ attack power and health by 30% – 35% each (with the exception of Chuck’s health being cut a whopping 56%!). I’m curious to know what yours birds’ attack power and health are, as well as the attack/health levels of the pigs you’re facing, to see if it’s a reasonable comparison I’m making here.

Here’s the story for me:
– Level 60 birds (and therefore level 60 pigs)
– I used Samurai, mastery 12, attack power 851 (3×426 damage), health 3859. (His usual numbers with his dragon breath set items are 1201, 3×601, 5917.)
– Mage (I switched to the regular, non-elite version), mastery 11, attack 1214 (deals 667 damage to all, and his defense spell does 910 damage per enemy attack), 1349 health. (Usual numbers are 1867, 1027, 1400, and 3091.)
– Princess, mastery 11, attack 811 (1013 damage per attack, 966 health per heal), 3220 health. (Usually 1144, 1430, 1406, and 4687.)
– For the purposes of this comparison, I’m just going to give stats of enemy Forest Pigmies, for a point of reference: 6427 health, 3×231 attack

I’ll report back again after trying a 7-stamina battle this way. One thing I should add in terms of executing the strategy is that you have to pay close attention to all your birds’ health before attacking with Matilda. I lost the first battle because I forced all enemies to attack her instead of Red by mistake, when he already had his own and Chuck’s defensive spells on him. I was also using Knight instead of Samurai in that first attempt, so Matty didn’t even have the benefit os Samurai’s defensive spell. Oops!
