Hi @supersic! @bluebear and @nikosf had the same problem and they succeeded to recover their original profiles.
One of the possibilities is to try @nikosf experience. As I understand from Google translate (Greek to English) Nikos uninstalled the game, and then installed the new version. He chose to take data from cloud. This is very important moment as Nikos emphasized it. Maybe you could consult with Nikos about this.
If the user data is correctly taken from cloud and another profile emerge, maybe it will be necessary to remove old profile from the team to be able to re-join. This of course is quite risky but you can try it.
Regarding @bluebear, he downgraded to 1.8.4 version where he got back original profile, but some carts and gems what he had earned after installing Thanksgiving and Christmas update he lost, but recovered all the earned GEs before. After that he upgraded to Chinese NY version and in new version all work correctly.
