1. Eggbots are the little guys you see running around on the map that transform ordinary unplayable nodes into playable nodes (aka. “Events”)

2a. Ever notice that if you click on a node that’s in the process of being transformed it says “Intercept now” and gives you a gem cost? So “intercepting an event” means that you’ve spent gems so that you can play that event node right away, rather than waiting for the countdown timer to reach 00h:00m:00s.

2b. The closer you are to the end of the countdown timer for that node, the lower the gem cost will be. At 4m5s or less remaining on the countdown, it will only cost 1 gem to intercept, so if you’re going to intercept then that’s the best time to do it.

3a. The upside to intercepting an event is that you can now shoot Eggbots as well as regular targets (kind of hard to miss during the event – they’re basically eggs on legs). Shooting Eggbots gives you additional coins (and on the rare occasion a few gems).

3b. The best TFs to use for this are Heatwave, Sentinel Prime, and the two Galvatrons, as the amount of coins you get per hit on an Eggbot scales to how much damage you’re doing. With those four TFs you can basically one-shot the Eggbot for several hundred coins at a time.

4. If you shoot an Eggbot enough times it will run away. But it will come back three more times. On the fourth iteration, once you’ve shot it enough times, it will fly away for good.

5. If you call in a Buddy while the Eggbot is onscreen, it will run away and stay away until your Buddy times out.

6. If you transform into vehicle mode while the Eggbot is onscreen, it will run away and stay away until you transform back into ‘bot mode.
