Posting Etiquette?
  • So, I'm generally not a person who posts on forums. I was a member of ABN for quite a bit before I started posting and I'm slowly introducing myself to the community.
I've been chastised (well maybe just a friendly reminder) to double check my messages for spelling mistakes and I've seen people apologize for posting to much (which I try not to do so I'm not accused of trying to run up points for my ranking), @mentioning to much and posting off topic. I feel nervous to do the wrong thing and I certainly do not want to annoy the Mods!

My question is... What is the proper etiquette while posting here?

  • Maybe a "thanks" or "thumbs up" button beside the comments would help reduce the amount of thank you posts?
  • If what you have to say is pertenant to the topic at hand, and is done in a polite and professional manner, you really cannot go wrong. Posting over here on the forum does not generate any points, so that is not an issue.
  • Ok, yes that pretty much goes without saying but please have a look for example at the jumble of messages on the walk through page of level 16-14. It happens to be todays challenge level. Are we all in the wrong for posting these messages? It's a tough call on my part! Do I ignore a compliment or shoot off a thank you post?
