Was @Hunnybunny talking about my typo on the word "analysis" when she said I was pushing it? Or was it the whole news bulletin that she had a problem with?
-
I Have No Idea @Pa what @hunnybunny meant by that. .I was wowondering that myself ?
-
@Kelani, do you have a link to that bad dog jerky story or was it on TV? Would be interested to read/view it even though I only feed my pups treats made in USA or baked by my Mom. You have to be careful, though, some brands that I thought made everything here, make *only* dog food here, and treats in China.
-
@Rat @Kelani -- Watching the video is actually fairly interesting. Just tell them you want to watch it yourself and be given as little anesthesia as possible, and definitely not be put under. I think you will be eventually, but in the meantime, it is interesting.
You didn't say when it was scheduled. If you've never had one before, the preparation is by far the worst part. -
Aww shucks Ma.
Not something I normally publicize @Mvnla2. But I did say it was Thursday morning in the news bulletin. Not my first and I hope to watch as well. I take great interest in this body of mine. It's the only one I've got, as it is.
BTW @Mvnla2. Since I'm on constant pain meds, I get to do extra preparation. Just the normal nasty prep wasn't bad enough???? -
@Kathy just google 'jerky treat recall 2014' several of the news sites have basically the same article. The ones I have mentioned from 7 years ago are Waggin' Train, and they also mentioned Milo's Kitchen then.
I hate how if I buy a cheap plastic spatula, by law it's gonna show country of origin, but pet foods, treats, some packaged foods, produce, RX and non-RX medicines, anything you eat from the pharmacy? Not required. It's all made overseas anyway. -
@mvnla2 You're not a fan of the Golytlely prep? :D After my first experience with that godawful stuff, I told em next time I'll live off chicken broth, water and Miralax for a week, but I won't take that crap again.
Yep, @Rat is in for an explosive experience.
From the first line of the Rx info: Drink 1 (8 oz) glass every 10 minutes, until the rectal effluent is clear or 4 liters are consumed.
That stuff could un-bloat the Pig. -
@Rat, wow 75K after 1st shot on BR-17, that's impressive. The most I hope for is 70K though I think I once (and only once) had 72K. So "Eggy" bounces back to the boat. Did it hit the very top platform with the flag (which would imply higher trajectory), or the lower platform with marmo on it (which would imply as flat as possible trajectory)?
FWIW, I was rather confused by the news bulletin. I thought you were taking a jab at one of us and called us "The Colonoscopy." It didn't make sense though. -
I hate saying this @fenikus. I hate when others say a version of it. But my thumb twitched at release so I don't know if it was high or low. I was shooting for low, but I don't know. A screen shot would have been great about now. What I do know is that I ended up with two perfect shots.
-
@Kelani I was having better luck with letting bomby come up, hit the apex, and then fall back to the cavity. But, again, I'm not positive which approach I used on that shot. Most likely the first one. Aren't I just a wealth of info on this one? I normally tell you how many pixels up or down to shoot. Sorry.
-
@Rat I was the same way with bomby. If I detonated at the apex, that top right marmo always seemed to do a backflip and live. What happens after you hit the apex varies. Sometimes you fall, sometimes you penetrate the wood a bit and get stuck for a sec. That blasts that marmo into another zip code. Dropping down a bit is how I got my 1?3 score.
I'm letting you off easy? Have you ever had a Golytely prep? Knowing what you're in for, any further torment would be cruel. :( Let's just say "Destruction you can Depend On" will take on a whole new meaning.
edit: View surgeries? Since HIPAA, you're not even allowed to know a surgery is scheduled.
-
@Kathy mean ol bird :(
@Rat @fenikus Have either of you tried switching up the birds? Bomb straight into the left side of the red platform. Detonate when it falls. Then White underwater? I dunno how well bomb works in that spot, but if you egg when White's ascending from the river, you can get a double smack on that right side. May be fun to try once I get sick of failing to improve my score. -
@mvnla2 - they did give me something but it didn't put me to sleep (I insisted that I wanted to watch and they were not opposed at all). It was quite uncomfortable while the surgeon was initially drilling holes in my knee, but once he got in, I mostly felt nothing. They did "turn off the lights" (i.e. put me under) before the show was fully over because they said the last part would be too painful. It was a good experience overall.
-
@fenikus I'm all for watching other surgeries awake, but I want to be knocked out for my own. There's too many reports of people requesting partial/delayed anesthesia waking up in mid-surgery. You feel all the pain, but can't move or speak. I'd rather not see the inside of my colon than risk that. :)
@Kathy 74k?! I've never gotten above 65k on that first shot! -
The Magnesium Citrate wasn't too bad @Kelani. And the pills...no problem. But tomorrow I have the GoLITELY solution. Not looking forward to that. I've tried to drink it twice in my life. Once successfully, once not so successfully. In my defense, I had a migraine the second time. It made me severely nauseous.
-
@Rat I don't envy you. What sucks is there's another product, Natulytely or something. Same thing, but with actual identifiable flavors and less salt. Docs never RX it, you get stuck with the awful generic "lemon" flavor. Anything using Magnesium citrate as a flavoring is bad news :)
What -really- sucks is you could mix miralax with mineral water and accomplish the same thing with no bad taste. Ah well, at least they decreased the salty taste.
I've had that prep 3x and have yet to get through half the dose. My stomach's just not that big. Same problem with those 96oz pineapple-flavored barium shakes. -
@Rat a tire? not that salty ocean-y breeze smell? Has your Ratticane gotten lost in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pacific_garbage_patch
