I need to remember @bernersenn might not pick up on subtle innuendo @Estar. He's just one of the guys to me. It's his fault for speaking my language so well.
-
Everybody, I'll be back tomorrow, keep in shape, have a nice weekend.
-
@bernersenn I know it's childish and silly, but I'm glad you named you're dog Heidi and not poessie. I would have gotten a hernia from laughing with the latter.
-
Thank you, @estar. I was being a bit silly, wasn't I? It must be the survival instincts in me acting up again!
Sorry, didn't mean to sound so serious! It was just a friendly "stab" at all the testosterone slinging going on in here. LOL I don't have any problem with being called any of those female gender adjectives, given the nature of the BP, a place to let your hair down and have fun!
I guess I better shut up now, before I put my foot in my mouth! -
This Rio on my phone is buggy! Aside from not being able to get back into Smuggler's Den, now when I try to open a level in any given episode, the level is frozen! I can't click out of the level, and the only way to get out of it is to use my task manager function and close it. GRRR!
Has anyone else had any similar issue? Should I report it in the Bugs & Issues forum?
-
Nah @sweetp I didn't think you were sounding too serious, but when catching up on the chatter the last couple of days I wanted to let everyone know I am like the guys... Just happy go lucky, but felt it was not a big a deal for a catching up message. So when you mentioned it, I found my way 'in' to clue everyone in. So don't shut up on my account, I actually like to see the foot in mouth move on occasion ;)

@bernersenn Points were on level 5. My flinging marathon may me postponed, though. Since my last post, my dog hurt her leg, and my cat got sick. :/
@Rat Ouch. Can't you buff off the solder spot and salvage some kind of value? I too keep parts of stuff. Anytime something breaks, I harvest every bit of it. I've got quite a few 11 gallon boxes full of plastic, metal, electronics junk. In reality I've only ever used about 1% of it. lol.
Here's a list of Cylinder and Edison phono prices: http://www.tinfoil.com/trc-much.htm
Cylinders are at the bottom. Range from $1-250 I've seen some go for more, if they're a rare or popular recording.
@estar be careful with the English. :) Our Brasilian exchange students stayed here 6 months speaking only English. By the 4th month, all of them had started to forget lots of Portugese :) -
@Estar I got a kick out of @bernersenn feeling so comfortable with English that he corrected my use of a pronoun. It would have worked so much better if he'd been right. Was I too subtle with my response? "@Estar's a girl?" ha ha
-
@E-Star @bernersenn -- As the someone who is sensitive to what women (and sometimes girls) are called. Please remember that as someone whose first language is not English, you are missing all the cultural connotations.
-
@Rat9 That's a nice patio but you don't reveal your technical setup. Therefore I will continue to suspect that you play AB while suspended in a 122 mph jet of air in front of the iPad, the iPad overclocked and cooled with liquid nitrogen, and five laser sights attached to your head.
@mvnla2 The image that @Kelani linked to is of David E. Pritchard - MIT Department of Physics: http://web.mit.edu/physics/people/faculty/pritchard_david.html
The images goes with this article: http://chronicle.com/article/High-Tech-Cheating-on-Homework/64857/ and I found the link in 10 seconds with https://www.tineye.com/ -
@mvnla2 that's why I do respect your wishes, but wanted to make clear i don't have such feelings or wishes as I am a strong believer of good intentions of the nesters in this pub, but I will not digress more on this subject as I do think this subject is prone to strong feelings and therefore not suiteable for the BP. But I hope you respect my non problem with those words as I do respect yours.
All on the other side of the pond enjoy what is left of your Saturday and see you all tomorrow, time for this nightowl to turn in for the night. -
O.k I'm half caught up. .
Quickly @bernersenn I never take anything you say as offensive I understand the language is different and has ddifferent meanings so 'gal' is fine with me i actually think it's cute and reminds me of old western times. @mvnla2 I respect your feelings on the matter but i don't think anything said here is meant as demeaning to anyone.
@fenikus your Pet'name is Reagan ? Sorry I missed if is a kitty or ? Oohh jeez I'm an idiot anyway i like the name.
@Sweetp I hope all is well and you all safe
@Pa Hi me and Robert the River Raider are going to try again; )
Anything i missed or anyone just give me a nudge and I'll reply; )
Been out with my daughter all day soo once again I've got some flinging to do
OB a marmoset killer please and some nibble for Robert ;) -
@burpie Can't beat tinyeye, the main weapon in the stalker's toolbox. :) That pic was the only one I found worthy of The AppaRatus. It's hard to find photos that combine elements of a microbiology lab, S&M club and yoga studio.
No flinging for me tonight. Pets are having a rough time, so I'm gonna go keep an eye on them. -
@Kathy, I wouldn't go by what Kelani says on #17, he cheated to get his 163K score ;) That's how we discovered the double-count bird glitch and he didn't post the score, remember? (Okay, I promise not to pick on Kelani anymore while his pets are ill).
It's a very subtle level: Aim bomb bird so that when it comes out of the water, it almost grazes the edge of the boat. Activate low, as soon as it passes that edge. Since you already have a decent score, you're looking for 68K-70K after 1st shot.
Second shot seems to work best if you go as tight over the banana as possible. Drop the bomb so that Matilda has enough english to roll down the small platform and drop down to finish off any debris that's left in the water (i.e. TNT and barrels). Now, all this still doesn't guarantee good score since how the structure collapses on the boat determines good or great score. On my best run (147K), the two long planks that usually remain at the left edge of the boat tipped over into the water and brought extra points. Hope this helps, good luck!

@Burpie Have you ever, with the possible exception of us, seen such determined flingers before? Blossom River runs red with blood. And all the blood is not from the marmosets. They're having knock down, drag out fights every day. The flingers are viciously attacking each other. Alliances are being formed. Attack plans discussed in the bar for the next days assault. And I've never seen @Ma so motivated. She's wearing the moniker, Killer Kathy, with pride. Go! Ma. Go! *shakes pom poms* I've even seen Monty Python's killer bunny ripping the heads off marmosets. I'm glad @kimmiecv isn't here to see all the death and destruction. It would devastate her.
I enticed a lot of flingers to come play at the river from the BP by telling them how easy and relaxing it was. That it was a pleasant distraction. Boy, how the atmosphere has changed! I'm seeing missing teeth. broken bones, and finger blisters when they come back to the bar now. OB can't keep the bandages in stock. The blues have set up a triage where @Estar used to sit. @Mumsie is knitting slings instead of dusters nonstop. Wounds are licked, bandaged, and then ignored. And the alcohol is flowing faster than the current at Blossom River in the evenings. Wow!
I hated that I got sidelined at first. You know me, I hate to leave a challenge unanswered. But I'm quite content, even happy, to watch the mayhem from a distance with you and eat popcorn. I only hope that they'll be worn out before the Space release. I keep hearing mutterings about what they're going to do to me/us. Payback for coming into their turf. The gang colors are coming out. Sorry @Burpie. I know you weren't a part of the river assault, but you're going to feel their wrath just the same. -
hmmm looks like all the this side of the ponders are enjoying a nice and sunny Sunday afternoon outside (and who can blame them right, I am probably heading into the garden too) and all the other side of the ponders are probably power napping or sleeping.
OB can I have a Teddy Bear Milkshake and a small smoked fish platter? Thanks I will be sitting here in my favorite booth... What's that??? What are all those bandages doing there and ughhhhh I so hope that is ketchup!!
You know what I think I will go and sit in the rocking chair on the porch. It's lovely weather after all :D -
@kelani, I know what it means when there is something wrong with your pets. I hope everything will be good.
To everyone here - the weather is fine overhere, enjoy your weekend. -
Owww no did I miss a comment of @kelani ??? Shoot, I did.... I hope your pets (?! multiple with issues??) are feeling better soon. Like @bernersenn I too know the heartache of our beloved pets are having a rough day/time!
