@TomPuss -- Great new look!
Can't write in rhyme, but I do have a twitter account (under MVNLA) that I only use for ABN related tweets (to Peter Vesterbacka, for example), and I also have a Facebook account, which I started to play AB on facebook, but decided I really didn't care to do it. I do use it occasionally to connect to real-life friends, but I have as many privacy screens in place as possible. -
-
@all--I'm too open and honest in the nest. Heck, my name is *edited by user in lieu of admin five minutes from now*.
-
@rat What? Why? Am worried
-
@mvnla2 Yes, it's a super avy, isn't it? And such a relief to have one at last.
You're very wise to take such good care on those networks, the whole set-up scares me rather.
Maybe back later. . last night I fell asleep in front of the TV, then again in the bath, and finally without reading a word of my book! Never made to the BP. A lot of tired Nesters just now, I think.
Have a great day! -
@TomPuss--Worried, perish the thought. I'll even tell you my address. It's *edited by user again*.
Beat you to it Admin. -
Oh my gosh you used my avatar!!!! Thank you so much @TomPuss!
By the way, in my opinion Red, Bubbles and Blue make the best wallpapers. -
@ABSMaster Noted! Will try them out soon.
-
Hey @TomPuss Great to finally see your face in here! So happy it worked!
And LOVED the rhyme... same here, only the Nest, good thing as well, as I don't have much more time to spare anyway LOL -
Funny mister rat you are not supposed to tell people your name is *edit by hacker user* and you live at *edit by hacker user* road.... people might send in the exterminators!
-
@tompuss Love your new avy! That s*it-eatin' grin is a classic. LOL
-
@EStar Hi! At last some regulars coming in! Just when I'm off to bed. . . What about that mister Rat - I hope he'll be back soon... I mean it when I say he had me worried there! Big thanx again for your help xoxo
OB, doubles all round please and a mug of Ovaltine for me, tx.
@kimmiecv Hope nasty headache has gone now, poor you. Take it easy, cool, zen. .
@all Good morning, good evening and good night ❤❤ -
@SweetP Yeah, truly evil, great appeal. .
-
I like the way you think @LesToreadors. That concoction I personally wouldn't try, because I don't like anchovies. I'll throw in some salmon instead, and smother it with teriyaki sauce. LOL.
I haven't been in a McD's for a long time, ever since I started eating healthier. Saves me a lot of money, too!
I've been a fan of the morning DJ, Uncle Joe Benson since his days at a different radio station. when I heard about the station's format, it became my favorite.
Good luck and happy flinging @all! -
@tompuss - you look fab! Quiet in here today - may just sit in my rocker and knit for a while - nice cup of tea please OB - and as its quiet come and join me for a cozy chat!
-

-
@mvnla2 it was in the middle of the previous page :)
Enjoy your guests see you later. . -
@SweetP - if there was a practical way to prepare salmon in my office I would do just that too.
On eating 'healthy' - the problem for me is I spent a few years undernourished due to stress and family problem nonsense so consuming 600 calories from a single double cheeseburger is perfectly fine. Need to fatten up for the (imaginary) winter after all, lol.
If you read about Asian diets the problem with a rice heavy diet enforced by upbringing is that vitamins and minerals are lacking, and too much carbs are being taken in. The extreme effects of a tradition-enforced rice heavy diet is nicely documented by BBC here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7493704.stm
Transitioning to low carbs and high 'energy density' with American food and not having to pay exorbitant prices for 'western food' is a huge blessing. The new, Muslim part of my family too has a lot of nutritional issues and American food, believe it or not, is most welcome and effective in helping people learn to adopt a balanced diet.
We are not eating in excess but it's amazing how I can get rid of a few bloaty mountains of rice by replacing it with a tiny little cheeseburger and not suffer the effects of "not eating enough rice".
Also you lot have rejected all your HFCS-'enhanced' foods and they are all literally, dumped here for sale in dollar stores. HFCS hot chocolate powder is awesome as I don't need to use a lot to prepare tasty drinks and solves my low blood sugar problem effectively! :D Be -
That's so sad @LesToreadors. It sounds like the resources are there, just not the knowledge.
-
Does anyone know where @hunnybunny went? She's needed to select the next low challenge. If I pick it will be another Space level, it's what I know. People want diversity and she said she had a couple of Season's picks ready. She told me she wanted to pick it and I capitulated. Got a cheesecake out of it.
-
@Rat indeed - and there is also the lack of 'Culture of Change' in many places.
I know I know, people who have visited this place say 'it is perfectly fine'. Yeah, of course, things are perfectly fine when looking from the outside perspective via manufactured tours and 'tourist trap' areas. But when you're living as a native who was educated to adopt some form of social responsibility as an adult, well, you wonder why there are still a lot of weird things going on around you. -
@Kathy awww thanks :)
-
Your welcome @LaurenM ;) its easy to get lost in the shuffle when it get busy in here; )
But you'll never be overlooked sorry i couldn't help. .
-
Sorry, @LaurenM -- Saw the green pig icon and thought you were AngryBirdsSpaceMaster. I don't play FB either, so can't help.
I also don't remember seeing you in the BP (sorry if you've been here). Do you come here often, or is this your 1st time? -
@Rat -- I think you should pick a level. After all it is officially your choice, and if someone doesn't pick soon, the lowest score challenge will die.
-
@mvnla2 I've been here a couple of times. :)
I'm scared that ABGo won't be compatible with my tablet. I can't get the games on my computer because i don't have openGL. i'll probably have to use my sister's ipad :/
anyhoooo... on a positive note, had some tasty chicken soft tacos at Del Taco. my tummy is satisfied. this piggy loves her some Del Taco. heheh. -
*poofs in shines Kathys flashlight for her use tomorrow and sets out candles to see her safely to dreamland *
Thanks for the well wishes everyone, still have a headache but it's so far not turned into a migraine so that's good news. :)
@tompuss I loved the ditty you posted! Got a good laugh and couldn't agree more with it!! :) -
@all--The flingers are massing with torches and pitchforks in the Lowest Score Challenge. And I look too much like Frankenstein's monster. Due to @hunnybunny's unexplained absence, I am rescinding my offer to let her select the next challenge. I'd send back the cheesecake bribe but I've already eaten it. Sorry, but it will be another Space level challenge. It's what I know. The opportunity for variety disappeared with @hunnybunny.
-
@rat9 I'd say considering the cercumstances of the whole thing you've been way more than fair, in fact I was thinking of voting you in as the new patron saint of rats And bunnies for holding your cool so well! Good luck to the flinging masses in LSC may the best flinger lose!! *Snicker*
-
Ok need to finish mopping!! BBL

@LesToreadors - I grew up eating rice every day, being one of those "asian" people that has eaten it in more ways than you can think of. ;) As far as the lack of vitamins and minerals in my diet, I was not raised in a country like Lombok. It's sad they feel rice is better nutrition than the abundance of produce that is readily available. I grew up on a farm, and my grandparents and parents have always provided us with healthy nutritious foods. Fruits and vegetables were grown without pesticides or processed fertilizers (what we refer today as "organic"). Our livestock were never fed steroids either, as they didn't exist back then.
I've given up on the fast food faire, mainly because of my family's history of hypertension. Thus, eliminating the consumption of high sodium and cholesterol content in fast foods. I have to admit, I do miss McD's fries, but only when I pass by a local restaurant and the aroma makes my mouth water.
I think eating healthy when I was young has made me more resistant to the various viruses and bacteria going around. There's quite a lot of people I know who get sick every year, that were raised in urban environments. I refuse to take an annual flu vaccine, because I'm better off without it. I tried it a few years ago, and got sick anyway.
Sorry, I don't know what HFCS is. Sounds like some type of protein powder? Anyway, I've had a few different types to help with weight loss, but I couldn't afford the expense after awhile so I gave up on that. -
That's just some kinda wrong, @abcrazy! I wouldn't want to end up looking like that, I'm just fine without wanting to look younger. LOL
-
-
ARGH!!!! @abcrazy I can't remember which one of my sick minded Nesty fwends it was but I got a youtube video sent to me of this "practice" a while back and they actually charge bucko bucks for a "treatment" and the idiots Pay for it and can only do a couple a day as they didn't have many slimy snails!!!! Heck I could do it day and night and Never run out of slimy snails!' I'm in the wrong business!!!
-
Good night/day everyone!! The weekend comes this way!!! :)

Good Morning Everyone:) Woo Hooo Happy Flingin' Friday! !
Have a great day /evening !!
Will catch up later:) -
@LesToreadors Groovy!
@ABcrazy Yuck! Some people are suckers for punishment. . More money than sense.
@Kimmiecv Problem over - sell your snails on eBay :)
@rat Glad to see you back, unbowed and not too bloody, I hope.
@SweetP @ LesToreadors Was fascinated by the illuminating dietary info and by your stories, thanks for sharing. (High-Fructose Corn Syrup)
@Kathy, @Mumsie, @mvnla and @all I keep missing cos of those pesky time-zones: have a great . . . whatever!
@EStar See you soon, enjoy your free time! -
-
@ABcrazy - I think that whenever any of the patrons of the BP see a snail they instantly think of Kimmie!
Kimmie - hope the headache is gone - maybe you could ring those people and say you have a snail'farm' and will sell them as many as they want! They have to come and collect them though - no more night raids! Perfect solution - fewer snails and more bucks!
@SweetP I'm with you - this face is it! Lived in, and full of laughter lines! (Though the 'grumpy' crease between the eyebrows I try to ignore!)
@rat - @happyshake may try once more for lowest score but to fail in both highest and lowest scoring is beginning to pall!
@hunnybunny - have you fallen off the planet? Hope you've not succumbed to the 'bug' again - seems to be a nasty one.
Well I'll just have an Americano please OB - got friends coming over for cards tonight - have baked scones ( to have with strawberry jam and clotted cream), apple pie and little lemon cakes - that's a lie my daughter made those! So I need to not eat now and save myself for later!
@tompuss - hope you're having a nice whatever too - here it is raining and forecast for high winds over the weekend :(
May not be playing golf on Sunday now! -
-
Love your laughter lines @mumsie. I got a few of those too, and try to ignore the "angry madwoman" ones. Sounds like time for you to pull out the warm fuzzy slippers! Hope it clears up by Sunday so you can get your round of golf in! I'm asking the "birdies" to bring you good luck if you do. ;) Have a fun card party, with all of the goodies to share!
OMG @TomPuss, that was hilarious! Thank you for the laugh, it made my day!
@rat9 - I haven't seen @hunnybunny around, either. Hope she didn't get sick!
@LesToreadors, love the graphics on the jacket and album. Looks like that new "Tusk 'til Dawn" level would be a lot of fun, too. Here's a preview video for anyone interested:
Well, off for some flinging. Have a great day @all, and Happy Flinging! -
*flies into the aviary* Ahh, there you are @kimmiecv! The Ferocious Five were wondering where you went off to? I better help you get back to the Ham O'ween room, since you seem a little bit disoriented. Hope your Mom's doing better!
-
Hi @all. Sorry I just popped in ans ran earlier, but I had to scoot off to work. I'm back flirking for now.
@mumsie I think you are right about snails and the immediate thoughts of @kimmiecv. Her midnight recon stories have set the mental bit.
@tompuss it is amazing to me how much money people will spend on non-sense. But hey, maybe @kimmiecv does have a new potential business venture in the works. Sounds like they treat the snails ethically if they give them a break every couple days.....
Can you imagine what that slimyness would feel like? I think I'd be barfing quickly.
