@mtice77, unfortunately the slingshot is something we can't move out of the way temporarily. This is definitely something Rovio could improve by implementing better click handling. For example second (or next) click to the same position could be forwarded to the animal or object in the background.

Hi ima new here
Ima on level 13 on croods I have the 2nd area and I'm getting a sharkadile
Has any1 got Thunk yet I want him badly (Wat does he do???) -
Actually we don't know if it's Thunk or Eep or somebody else stuck under that rock. And no - lifting the rock is probably possible only after the long awaited update. You have enough help and resources to evolve to level 21 which probably takes you a month and by then we hopefully have more tasks and levels to do. Hopefully...
Who still has hope? I'm starting to think that Rovio was hoping to finish with the update by the time first players reached level 21 and the situation we have here doesn't feel like planned delay anymore. But why make millions of unsatisfied players? Do they really think people don't care? I for starters will remember Rovio first as a company that dropped the ball with The Croods high and hard, and only then as a company who made Angry Birds. Do they care themselves? Probably not. Angry Birds franchise looks to be enough and all they care about. Half of those unhappy The Croods players are probably addicted to Angry Birds anyway and the rest are too few for them to bother keeping their promises which turned out to be too much trouble and too little profit. Couldn't they be more open about the situation? Say they are sorry about ditching the game? Or say that the update arrives this month, August 2013? Say something.
I wonder if and when there will be Hay Day for Android...
Sorry about the rant. I still think the game is awesome. Love the game, hate Rovio. -
Thx for that info
My friend is on level 20
I hope that Rovio updates soon
So far its a good game and I'm on holidays so I got time to kill :-) -
How do I change my account picture??
I know ima NOOB :-P -
Never mind
-
Does @lostgraybird still play croods?
-
Does my account picture look different??
-
Sorry ima chatterbox but do u know how long the sharkadile's home takes to build?
-
I'm thinking about getting a bear owl or a land whale do u think it would be worth it?
I really need coins -
I think I should say wat I have so here
Level 13
4 molabears
2 bunny beasts
4 grilaphants
2 bird things
2 crocopups
1 ramu
taming skarkadile and getting coins for home -
I just decided to evolve my Land Whale home and was shocked when I found out it was going to take 70 something hours. I guess this is a good time to do it while were waiting for the next update, but sheesh that a LOT of time just for a single evolution.
-
@CrocoThing The best advice I can give is to build your 'base'. Level up your Molabears and Bunny Beasts all the way and then start working the 'phants. Also (and this is important) DON'T spend your gems on anything except your berrybushes. They'll be the bottleneck later in the game and you'll need all of your gems to improve their output.
-
@CrocoThing, when I tried to set my avatar I came to a conclusion that built in avatar that you upload here does not work and only way to get it visible is to use Gravatar account instead. It will be automatically shown, as long as you register with the same email address you're using here. Please see http://www.angrybirdsnest.com/forum/discussion/9/how-do-i-create-an-avatar for more info.
What I have come to learn is that there are no long waiting periods in this game except you know what. Maybe Rovio is trying to put things into perspective ;-)
Indeed, @jetlabels is right - don't rely on Bear Owls and Land Whales with your coin generation. In fact don't even think about it. Collect your resources and let Ugga make soup and everything evolves at it's own pace. Tame higher level animals only after lower level production is solid. So save your crystals for berry trees and food for soup and forget coin making animals for now. -
@Croco Thing, don't forget about the GREATDAY redeem for crystals, the higher level you are when redeeming, the more crystals you'll get!
-
Back in my day I got 430 from GREATDAY at level 21 and I noticed that this was exactly the same amount I would have gotten by buying the first crystal pile. Now the first pile gives you only 300 crystals which is considerably less than it was then. Does anybody know how much does GREATDAY give you at level 21 now? Is the amount also tied to the first pile or is it more? Just curious.
-
Thx every1 I'll do that
I think I won't do gravatar thing right now
So far coins for sharkadile 3200 / 5400 -
I'm not going to buy a bear owl or land wale but does any one know wat the input / output is
E.g 1 berry = 1 coin -
Also wat is GREATDAY
-
I have 2 berry bushes on level 2 and I have 134 gems should I level 1 up?
-
WOOO 4000 COINS
-
Did u know the zever costs 34000 COINS
-
Woooo 5000 coins I also did GREATDAY thx
-
Can u use GREATDAY more than once?
And r there any other codes ???
-
@CrocoThing, Unfortunately it can only be used once.
I have searched high and low and there does not appear to be any other codes.
There are 2 more ways to acquire crystals.
1. Buy them (uggh)
2. Visit neighbors. (random - may need to visit dozens of times before see one gift of 5 crystals) Cost - 0 $, but lots of time.
Need more neighbors? PM me for my FB name & 'friend' up to 100+ of my friends, all players of The Croods. If you are in IOS, I am in game center too.
PS: min time 12 hours between repeat visits to same neighbor. So you can visit almost 2x per day. -
@CrocoThing
Bear Owl makes 5 coins from 2 berries which is something I never do because you really need to convert ALL your berries into carrots for maximum evolving speed.
Land Whale makes 50 coins from 1 leaf (=3 berries) which is much better ratio and quite usable when your other leaf eaters (especially Crocopups) are well fed.
Btw, how much crystals did you get from using GREATDAY?
And CrocoThing, don't take it the wrong way, but please consider using the edit button instead of posting multiple consecutive posts. -
I'm (or should I say was!) a huge fanatic The Croods player, as you all know.
I've got all animals, fully evolved, maximised speed and all got the extra 15% boost.
I've got more than 2M coins and 2500+ crystals (none bought, all received via playing!)
But because Rovio doesn't care about their fans, I stopped playing, also with Angry Birds!!
I started playing Hay Day, and to be honest...........I like it!!
There's much more to do, you can go from friend to friend without first going to your own world, there's an active forum (yes forum, not 1 thread, but a whole forum) where even the developers post and react!!!! And not least important, they update frequently!
The only negative things I can think about are: not available for Android and there's maybe to much to do and to discover.
I'm going back, to see if I can get a level higher. :) -
Thx will use edit
I got 300 gems
Sorry @inhisname I don't have FB :'(
I CAN GET A SHARKADILE HOME!!!
@inhisname is it possible to get gems from 'friendly neighbor' ???
The shark's home takes 24h!!!!!! :-P
I like the croods but gems r SOOO hard to get :-\
My favorite colour is CHUCK NORRIS (and bacon)
P.s I wanna pony!
Does any know how much the fish cat costs? -
@Namoh if u like hay day that's nice but its farm stuff (don't u find that a bit boring and should I try it?) Is it better than the croods?
-
@Namoh, I feel you. It's gotten awfully quiet here and I'm afraid it'll never be the same again. Even if the update is right around the corner I don't see the same enthusiasm in me that I had a month ago which is probably for the best because I can spend more time with my family and friends.
-
Hi clearing trees and getting xp
-
I got my shark!!!
I've been playing bad piggies and gosh I just finish a level using a power up and STILL it took me 30min to FINISH!!! >:-( -
I'm board of this game takes to long and needs an UPDATE!!!!
P.S does rovio read this form? If so pleaze update rovio pleazeeee -
I'm thinking of getting a land wale cus I'm soooooo board
-
@CrocoThing, I don't think Rovio reads this forum, and if they do, they really do NOT care about their users/fans.
I really liked The Croods (otherwise I wouldn't be so far as I'm now).
I'm now a level 23 framer in Hay Day (some are even as high as 100+, but highest I've seen so far is 66) and there's plenty to do to get higher and higher and it will take weeks/months to get somewhere up to level 60+.
If The Croods gets an update very soon, I probably will go back but if it takes to long I'll continue with Hay Day, because there the updates are regularly and with The Croods you just don't know if and when there will be a next update. :(
I haven't played The Croods for a few days now...............and I'm not missing it!!! -
@all, I moved on to Clash of Clans, while waiting for the upgrade...
I will revisit my definition of "soon"
-
Awwww @mistergif that cool I wish I could do that (clash of the clans not available for Android )
Any way I'm now on level 14 -
@namoh do you think I should try hay day
-
@CrocoThing, I'm not going to decide that for you, but I can give you some guidance. ;)
If you're on level 14 in The Croods, then there's still plenty to do.
You need to get to level 21, build all allowed homes, get all animals, evolve all homes to max, boost all animals to max speed............so you'll be busy for quiet a while (Zeaver home takes already 4 days to build if I remember correctly, and then you still need to evolve it twice).
Problem is...................will there be an update when you're finished with all above tasks? Only Rovio knows.
For sure I know that Supercell (creators of Hay Day) are listening to their users, they don't incorporate every suggestion, but at least they listen and make an update once in a while.
I know for sure that I'll be busy for months with Hay Day..............which could also be the case with The Croods...............if there was an (major) update. -
K thx
I won't be watching this form for five days ( no internet )
But good stuff on the croods I'm 1/2 to level 15!!!
P.S does any one know how much the fish cat costs? -
@Croco Thing, go to page 1 of this thread, 1st post, you should find answers to your question
-
Looks like the official release date for the Croods DVD is October 1st. Hopefully we'll have a game update by the point.
-
All of my (Chad Syes) animals are souped up. Now only cave to fill. Only one each BearOwl & LandWhale.
Oh MY ! Checking inventory I found I only have 3 of 4 Albatrosses. I could do another one of those to do more soups. But do I really want to ?
Chad will go over 3.3M & 1,000 Crystals by time cave fills. Maybe 3.4M if I do the 4th albatross
Rich Sias still have 480 soups to go, yet.
Both are souping when NO fish and > 5,000 coins. I found >3,000 depleted mud and sticks faster then I could build them. This seems more comfortable pace, PLUS it adds more coin per soup. Rich is at 2.7M coin & 1.2K Crystals - might make 4M if I stick to the >5k$ plan with lots neighbor visits and souping stones and feathers. If I skipped vists and not increase crystals, I might push it to 5M coins.
So big questions of the day is: Which is better A 4M + 2.5K crys or B 5M + 1.3K crys ?
Edit: Maybe it should really be the question of the week, since comments are every three days, now. -
Both are ok, I don't think you'll need more then 2M and 1000 crystals after the update (if there will be one).
I'm not playing The Croods anymore, go Hay Day!!! -
@crocothing No I don't play the Croods anymore. I stopped months ago and deleted it off of my devices in the beginning of August. I found Hay Day & Clash of Clans to be more enjoyable. I started playing those around the same time as The Croods. I just recently deleted those of my devices too because I have a very addictive personality with games like that and was spending way too much time checking in to them.
-
I used to be a fanatic of this game just like some the other posters on this thread. The lack of new quests and challenges really diminished my desire to play. I never fully evolved all my Zeavers, I sort of reached a point where I just said to myself "what's the point?" - I have a cave full of resources and I suppose I could waste the time making soup to level them up, but when you check in only once a day and there's no real reason to have the Zeavers make any more sticks, why bother, right?
I'm not going to go as far as removing the app from my iPad and iPhone but unless an update comes soon, I can predict that in a month or so, I won't even be checking in once a day anymore.
By the time Rovio gets around to an update - IF they get around to an update - it better be a major one with multiple quest levels or long-term players with stockpiles of resources are going to quickly be able to overcome the challenges and then be left waiting for yet another update.
It's too bad really, cute game with lots of promise never fully realized. Maybe the combination of the fact that The Croods wasn't enough of a box office smash and in-app purchases really weren't at the levels where Rovio hoped they would be, resulted in this game being pushed to the bottom of the priority pile. -
Checking in once a week just to see if there's been an update. Silly, eh? I agree, the question on everybody's lips is not 'when does it arrive?' anymore, but simply 'does it arrive...?'.
A week ago every major news portal spread the news about Supercell thinking about entering Android market (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/video-games/10270845/Clash-of-Clans-maker-mulls-Android-launch.html). Looks like far fetched but at least gave an insight why Supercell has not yet done so.
Everyone has their own agenda and their own priorities. Silently abandoning an Android game might look stupid for us, but for a company it might only be a strategic attempt to grab more dough by allocating it's resources differently.
All I'm saying is that it's starting to look more and more possible that there are not going to be any more updates. Rovio has had plenty of time to release not one but several updates but they have not done this. There's this nasty bug of seeing your friend's world at the wrong level which I'm very sure is fixable from their side without even releasing an update. They have not done this. Perhaps it's time for you and me to accept the hard truth? -
It might be a great game I haven't dawn loaded it yet but I will as soon !
-
we'll you be my neighbor? and I'm not Mr. Rogers:) [email protected] or my name is Jason Angulo on Facebook, need neighbors bad. I can also help a lot of people with these questions. I play a lot of RTS's ;)
