Have you switched to iOS just for Angry Birds & what's the best platform to play and why? Page 1

For over a year I had an HTC Evo. I played AB all the time but started getting sick of waiting for updates and the inconsistencies between iOS & Market/Amazon AppStore releases. When my upgrade came I switched to an iPhone having AB being a large reason why. Am I alone here, has anyone else switched. And if you have, whats the best platform and why? (web, Mac, ps3, iOS etc.)

I haven't switched to iOS from anything else, but I started out on iPhone, then switched to MacBook Air because small iPhone screen was causing too much eyestrain. Didn't like interface on Mac (might be better now, and I did play S&T on Facebook on the Mac), so now I play on iPad. Just got a stylus to try to improve accuracy of aim, not sure yet how much it helps; probably depends on episode. The web interfaces are not great in MHO, too many lags (if you think getting WB to release the egg at the right time in hard, you should try it on a web app!)

I completely agree with the Web based marketing versions. I played on an old PC and it had horrible lag, then on my new MacBook Pro it is more manageable. I have yet to play on the Mac app store versions.

About the interface of Mac and iPad... both are fine to me, but I prefer playing on a touch screen over a computer screen, but that's my preference. How do you play on a Mac without the MAS versions?
On phones, I've had many different phones over the past few years, and I have to say the iPhone 4S is the best of them all by far, not only because of AB... Siri is great and really helps, and the interface is smooth, but that's another story...
If you have a different phone (cough, nokia, symbian, blackberry), I would suggest going to an iPhone or even another android model... iPhone obviously is better, in terms of AB updates... usually a few days or sometimes a week faster. (Rio)
And I think Rovio said that Amazing Alex will only be released to iOS/Android at the beginning as well.
iOS is where it started... go there! -
I think you can buy computer versions at Rovio.com. I haven't done it but it seems like another avenue to get the MAS styled version.
Rio was what really put me over the edge. You are right on with it taking a week. I have AB on Nook too and used to go to B&Ns just so I could try out the Mighty Eagle. I just love it now that I have the Mighty Eagle, Space Eagle, & Danger Zone with no fuss at all.
