lol @knichy My brother and his wife used to run too, but now they drink, hmm what a coinkidink lol, oh and they wore running shoes too lol
i wear running shoes (aka sneakers) but i leave my house early and i drive a car as @bernersenn suggested, Way more convenient and easier on the knees i would imagine, although my right foot has been troubling me, it's a lot of exercise trying to hold the gas pedal when the speed limit is 30mph! I'm not even kidding lol -
@rat, great tune, Aerosmith Walkin' the Dog
@Kathy, I know. I owned manny tranny cars all my life and looked down my nose at those who dared to desire an automatic. Then I hit 40, and realized I drive about 30 miles a day in bumper to bumper traffic and it just wasn't fun anymore. Now I even use the cruise control when I can to give my pedal leg a rest. -
Thanks @TienShenLong and @gumby for the birthday wishes.
After a rather wonderful day, spent today washing, cleaning, shopping, cooking. Normal drudge!
If you need cheering up, try:

@knichy everyone here has a stick shift, that's what I think you call them, we both have automatics. Bought one because I loved the car, became addicted, and Mr Bunny followed suit. Easy driving. The fun went out years ago. No open roads around here, too much traffic, lousey traffic lights everywhere, and roundabouts (which I don't think you have many of in the US)
@rat Mrs Rat retired yet? I know it's close! -
Hey @all , @hunnybunnyI believe Massachusetts is the only state here that has 'round-a-bouts'
We call them Rotary's .
I've never driven a stick shift,, except a few times when my neighbor would 'have a few' and take me out to teach me lol,, my problem was slowing down , or stopping ,I just couldn't figure it out,, automatic is so much easier ,I never understood why people like doing so much work just to drive lol
OB I'll have a Blue Mongo please
Has anyone seen @Pellystar lately? -
@Hunnybunny I wondered: do you own a stone frog?
-
Well well speak of the devil lol
Hey there @pellystar , a little birdie must have whispered in your ear :D -
Unfortunately i can't listen to music yet tonight , watching a show with Bf , but I'll certainly listen later with my headphones! Thanks @pellystar:)
Lol and i just left you a note in Winter Wonderham level 17 !! -
Hee heee , that's me @pellystar , happy to hear you've been enjoying some nostalgic events of David Bowie! Must be kinda sad and fun at the same time?
-
@pellystar, what rudeness! You ignore my birthday, and then accuse me of owning a stone frog for purposes nefarious...
No one else has a clue on the "stone frog" -
@Kathy can't be that riveting watching that show - the BP grabbing your attention!
Agreed re Bowie. He was/is a great. But there's a bigger picture here: I *must* make the most of life and have a great time, and preferably be very silly and create a highlights package for the rest of my life - cos I don't believe in an afterlife!
Which gives me an excuse for having a party.
-
Stone frog @hunnybunny?I used to have a stone frog!! I love frogs:D
-
@Hunnybunny
Apologies if I caused offence with stone frog, it amused me (but not now).
Didn't realise it was your b'day - I do now - so many happy returns from one of your biggest (have gained some weight lately) fans.
Can I make amends by playing a song that you might like? -
Yikes @pellystar @kathy owned a stone frog, and I'm sure she's "divorced" now. Or perhaps not?
Fab Ad on the TV featuring Top Cat. I love Top Cat! -
Well @pellystar it's our daily Soap Opera , so i really only need my ears lol!
And yes!! I like that atiitude, although i need to believe in an afterlife or I'd just crumble i think :(
But i do believe in living life to the fullest of possible,
I always like the poem 'The Dash* can't recite it off the top of my head , but I'm sure we've all heard it? -
@pellystar it was yesterday, scroll back to see Bunny Cakes! Is your wife's today? How old is she?
David Bowie "Starman" please, although liked Bronski Beat -
@Hunnybunny
I am a *massive* fan of retro children's TV. Top Cat is awesome, ditto Dangermouse.
And Bagpuss. You can keep your Shakespeare quite honestly (anti intellectual, moi?) -
@Hunnybunny
I've been absent from BP, so apologies fro not knowing that your b'day was yesterday.
But you know you have my cordial best wishes.
My wife is 55 today. Gifts from Michael Kors and Claridge's. -
@kathy @pellystar went to a funeral on Tuesday: a lovely, joyous, celebration of a lovely lady, who died aged eighty. I'd be happy with that...
-
@pellystar I was 56. Mum in law gave me cash, so I'm also off to Michael Kors tomorrow! I've seen that darling handbag I can't live without....
-
@Hunnybunny
My b'day present to you.
One of my all time favourite songs (and actually, my karaoke party piece) - pleas enjoy:
There's a video out there of me performing this on stage in a West End pub on my 22nd b'day.
Oh dear! -
-
Oohh yes @hunnbunny I'm divorced lol, hence the Bf haha,, and i don't know what happened to my Stone frog:(
-
@pellystar we used to go to a club and "don't you want me baby" was always played in a threesome with
http://youtu.be/_6FBfAQ-NDE
And
http://youtu.be/2nXGPZaTKik
I guess eighties music wasn't that bad!
-
@hunnybunny
Both those songs: perfection.
What a massive change of tone through their career with Depeche Mode i.e. from the song you chose - through to Personal Jesus.
BTW I have a few musician clients in addition to loving music, so it's always on my mind as Pet Shop Boys would sing.
-
-
Woo Hoo! Dangermouse!
-
Hmmmmmm
@Hunnybunny @Kathy
Willie version pleasant enough but this is a MONSTER:
Is noone going to stand up for Elvis? -
