I have to disagree with you @JLZ666. After a month the leaderboards have pretty much leveled off. Most levels have top scores that aren't going to change significantly. If you can get all of your scores into the top 25, 10, or even 5 by then, you've accomplished a great feat of sharpshooting. Or should that be sharpflinging? We don't wait a year to put a level in for the daily challenge. Using your logic, the puppies won on levels less than a year old should be returned to mamma because they haven't been weaned yet. ha ha I've been around too many cute young puppies lately. They got into my head. I'm relating everything to those nine adorable fur covered mess makers. Whew! I guess I was closer to getting a puppy than I thought.
Thanks for the tip on the little bunnies. We rednecks like to hunt from our trucks here in the South. Every pickup truck has at least one rifle in the window rack for road hunting opportunities. And I'm having trouble hunting the one in Timber Tumble. She keeps hopping around. Hard to catch. Not that I don't enjoy a good vegetable soup, but a little bunny meat makes for a much better meal.
I'm jealous @SweetP. No back pains today. Hallelujah!!! -
@kelani Are we sharing the same garden? Crabgrass? Yes, been there, got that - each little spike contains myriad seeds. . . Overrun with weeds? Yup, "One year's seeding means seven years' weeding", like a lifetime's supply. . One good crop? Potatoes in my case, beautiful tomatoes chez neighbors. But you didn't mention MOSS - can't believe you don't have any. . .
@JLZ666 Parasol? You must be jesting! Endless rain. . . yesterday we had to turn central heating on to dry out the ghastly dampness - 67% relative humidity in the house. . . Parasol is packed for hols, BTW.
@mvnla2 So glad you enjoyed the beasties! Lovely idea to treat yourself to one :-)
@rat Don't force @EStar to hide behind the couch again. . -
As I said it's just my opinion but I can't see how the leaderboards have levelled out when less than 300 people have entered scores? Yes obviously I appreciate that if you've worked your ass off and drained every drop of blood you can from a level, you deserve to be top of the boards but so will a lot of others over the next few months. As for the challenge levels, why should they have to go home to their mamas??? It doesn't matter the age of those level surely? Or am I completely misunderstanding this conversation and my own logic?!
Congrats on your 9 new puppies! That's some good flinging!
You wouldn't,couldn't have shot those bunnies @rat :((((( I've seen more meat on a butchers pencil so you wouldn't have gotten a morsel out of them?!! Shame on you to hunt for hunting sake ;(
@tompuss Oops, sorry! Hols it is then! I'm holding off on putting the heating on as that'll be it till next April!!! Once you give in there's no going back and no amount of hubby's cold tootsies torture in bed will make me change my mind ;)
-
Knew I'd forgotten something....
@tompuss not every dog likes his bathtime ;D

Great, thanks @hunnybunny....I'm now going to be laughing hysterically every time I pass that part of the road imagining there's a 6ft rat on the verge waving at me!! It'll be like "Harvey" lol!
-
@Kathy -- Did you see the post by meanguy about the challenge level exploding? I think you also play on Android, right?
-
@JLZ666 Grrrrreat vid! And perfect dubbing, lol :-) BTW, in 1975 saw James Stewart on stage in "Harvey". Most wonderful theatre experience ever. . . love that guy
Hey @Hunnybunny, what to do about that giant rodent?
http://youtu.be/t7Pr7QqAE38
Well, at least Anna is happy. . . @EStar's still hiding behind the sofa, tho' -
@TomPuss
Anna wasn't unhappy because of rodents. She was unhappy because she has nobody to share her life with. She felt all alone and erroneously lashed out at her rodent friends. But she can't find happiness, for now she's truly alone. Soon she'll start smiling and laughing in a room all by herself. She'll begin to hear noises, then voices. It won't be long before...
If only she'd embraced her furry little friends. Poor Anna.
I'll never confirm that remark @HunnyBunny. Maybe I was being superbly sarcastic.
Truth be told @JLZ66, I've never killed a living thing in my life except for two beloved pets. And they took an extreme toll on me. You've got to remember, I'm a transplanted Southerner. I was born a Yankee. So no red neck, no pickup truck, and no guns of any type. I only hunt bunnies in the virtual world. Robert, better known as Bob Cat when hunting, loved spring when baby bunnies started hopping. He could field strip a baby bunny in sixty seconds. Adult rabbits took a bit longer. He LOVED bunnies to death. Hakuna Matata, it's the circle of life.
Edit: Correction to the above statement. I've never killed a living thing bigger than a snake. I've killed my share of bugs and a few poisonous snakes. SWDNF hates snakes. It was kill the snakes or move. I was too lazy to move. -
@rat I did consider that, but being the eternal optomist ............
-
@JLZ666, thanks for your concern about taking it easy. But it's hard to get anything done if I didn't constantly keep up with all I have to do around here. I just wanted to plant some flowers to perk up the area that leads from my back door to the garage. Raked up the leaves from this nasty but shady eucalyptus and planted marigolds on the sides of the walkway. The lantana that I had all died from this awful drought, and Home Depot had a good sale on the marigolds. I probably should've sat on the ground instead of the little gardening stool, bending over.
You're so lucky to have seen those cute bunnies playing! I'm pretty sure momma got them safely tucked away.
@tompuss, I always make sure I have something to eat before taking any NSAIDs, knowing it will cause serious damage to my tummy. It also makes me feel ill if I don't. Whenever my hubby needs to take one, he makes sure he eats something to avoid hearing me nag! Haha!
Boy, I can ramble on, too. Sorry.
thanks @hunnybunny, feeling so much better! Going on a long road trip so I'm really happy there's no more pain! Yippeeee!
Oh, before I forget, @tompuss (and I don't care what day it is) here's your whinnneee. So everyone please put on those earplugs. Ready?!?
whiiinnneee...wwwhhhhhiiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeee! WWHHIIIINNNNNNEEEEEEEEEE!
WWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE! -
Gotta go and start packing, and help HWDNF get the bike ready. I'll be back later, maybe some time to fling, too!
have a fantabulous flinging day @everyone! -
@Rat way to preserve that redneck stereotype for us. :) I'm the same. Aside from any wasp/hornet/yellowjacket that I see on my property, the only killing I do is to the local supply of mentos and ginger ale. My only gun is a collectible high-end air rifle. (last one made in West Germany, the day before reunification), but it's also more powerful than a .22 rifle, so it could definitely ruin a home invader's day. Fortunately, that kind of thing doesn't happen here.
Wouldn't mind owning a truck, though. It'd help to supply the wood shop and rescue all the walnut/cherry furniture people around here love to throw away. -
Just seen on the news that a couple celebrated their 'Oak' wedding anniversary today - that's 80 - yes Eighty - years married!! They are only the second UK couple to reach that!
Just for fun I then googled wedding anniversary's and the 90th is stone! Having a mildly warped sense of humour I wondered whether their presents to each other today were oak coffins and if they're saving up for headstones for their 90th! -
WOW @mumsie a friend of ours parents managed about 75 years, they both died well into their nineties. Eighty years is amazing. We've managed 32 in November. I can't possibly even imagine another 48!
I like your warped humour...... -
We'll be 42 in December! This couple are 102 & 101! Seem bright and active - he had a flying lesson for his 90th birthday! he's a wise man - he says the secret of a happy marriage is always agreeing with your wife!
-
No @kelani me neither I thought after 25 is was 30, 40 etc til 75!
-
44th is just dull!
-
Yay groceries! Just what a girl wants. :) I hate to say it, but I think that version of the list was made by a man.
-
-
Anyone noticed! I'm high maintenance ;-)))))))
-
@hunnybunny That sounded like the ingredients for a wonderfully romantic evening until 'really smelly soft cheese'. :)
-
@kelani probably why we have no kids!
Where's the KelPic? -
My anniversary shopping list
------------------------
Lots of Ginger ale
Lots of Imported Dutch Mentos
Gallon of 1% Milk
Quik (they call it Nesquik now. I never will)
1lb freshly-ground espresso
Bag of Babybel cheese
Hakutsuru plum wine (for cooking)
@hunnybunny read up. I'm having difficulties. I found the pic, but my scanner doesn't work on Win7. ipad's gone til friday, so can't snap a pic of it. Tried to hook up scanner to computer #2 (testbox) and that computer died. So this morning, I've been digging through my storage room looking for my music computer, which has all the pics on it already. Just got it out, and since it's been sitting for 4 years and has my life's work on it, I'm afraid to turn it on.
edit: AND I just noticed the network card is missing. No idea why. {grr} -
What you cooking with the Hakutsuru!
-
1lb freshly-ground espresso? For….???
-
@kelani culture differences question here:
What's ginger ale in the US? Here it's clear, pale caramel coloured, we put it in scotch, over ice (also called dry ginger)
Whereas ginger beer is cloudy, more of a kids drink (but yummy, nevertheless)
And what's root beer? The stuff Snoopy drinks?
http://youtu.be/YeGqp4E8azY -
-
@hunnybunny depends. normal store-bought is clear-pale caramel color. Not much more tasty than Sprite or 7-UP, but I like it. There's also smaller brands that make it very spicy/hot, sometimes called ginger beer. Usually not cloudy.
Real root beer is supposed to made made with yucca root extract so it's super foamy, but it's not anymore.
espresso+quik+milk = for making espresso, or a batch of my usual daily coffee drink :P
Hakutsuru = I like trying to make the non-Japanese food that Japanese restaurants here serve. Plum wine is yummy in it.
-
Mrs. Bunny, any coffee aficionado knows espresso tastes best when beens are ground right before brewing. 1lb of coffee makes a lot of espressos, so if he's gonna chug it all down, yeah I expect he'd be pretty hyper.
NYC was exciting, had some business there and met some shady people. Other observations: 1) nobody in NYC picks up dog poop; 2) Lots of cute girls there; 3) My phone battery discharges ridiculously fast when GPS and Google Maps are on. -
@kelani my fav, poured over scotch, with lots of ice. But delicious on its own. Don't expect you can find it in the Walmart.
http://www.fever-tree.com/ginger-ale -
Mrs. Bunny, there is one store in my area that sells Fever Tree drinks. Absolutely best ginger beer I've tasted. Love ginger beer, not too crazy about ginger ale. Fever tree GB is in fact cloudy, but only once you turn the bottle upside down so that the sediment mixes with liquid.
Edit: Will have to try their ginger ale. -
@hunnybunny I don't expect so. :) Looks tasty and expensive, though.
I have a regular espresso occasionally, but every 3-4 days, I make 16oz espresso, mix it with a scoop of sugar, Quik, and a (big) splash of Bailey's Butter Pecan creamer and stick it in the fridge. Each afternoon, I pour 4oz of it into a glass, and drown it with 8oz milk. Dunno what you call it, but it's a nice pick-me-up.
@fenikus Ooh, nice knowing you, man. That sentence after 'NYC was exciting' probably just landed you on a half-dozen homeland security watch lists :) I agree with #2. The only place I've seen with a higher cuteness proportion is California. -
Mr Fenny I know that, but sadly developed a caffeine allergy some years ago, so no
Coffee (I'll live without it, but just occasionally, an expresso would be amazing)
Tea (yuk)
Coca cola (double yuk)
Chocolate (Bunny weeps silently)
Ever thought about writing ads for tourism in NYC? One person I know, in search of a cute girl, might rush there. As for the rest of us.......
And Kel and Kathy were right, shady Serbs, planning on hijacking UPS deliveries -
@Kelani, not that kind of shady. Still very colorful characters.
-
Kel, that's disgusting. All that lovely shot of expresso ruined by quik, sugar and some horrible sounding American sweet muck. Yuk yuk yuk ;-((((((
-
Off to fling, TT has three goals left for me
-
@hunnybunny Glad you think so, cos I'm pretty stingy with it. Tastes better than anything I ever overpaid for at a cofeehouse.
@fenikus oh, they don't make those kinds of distinctions. :P Don't worry, if they haul you in, I'll give ya a character reference. May end up in an adjoining cell, but it's worth a shot. :) -
Whew. MusicBox's BIOS battery was dead, but I got it to boot, and all 500GB of my personal music, pics, art and stuff that I spent 20 years on is safe, as is my 2TB music archive. No network card, no keyboard, and the grippy surface on this mouse has degraded into a sticky mess, but it's a start.
-
btw, my favorite ginger ale is from @Rat's neck of the woods. http://www.blenheimgingerale.com/products/
I think that's the closest thing we have to what you guys are talking about. Old Jamaica Ginger Beer is in most stores. It's kinda spicy, but I'd much rather have Blenheim's :) -
@TomPuss I somehow missed these videos on page 2236 of the pups in the fountain and that uhmm creation on the beach!! Funny pups and i think like @jlz666 said not an angry growl to be heard amazing!!
That creation on the beach is amazing also. .@bernersenn lol.. same name no relation? I guess i gotta read a few more pages till i get 'live' lol
But @Kelani if you want i can check your photo to be sure is "politically correct" lol now we are all curious! ! All i can think is you have some kinda t-shirt on that someone might find offensive?
OB I'll have a Marmoset killer while i read! ! *settles into @estar favorite booth and begins catch up* -
-
@Kathy lol thank you. As soon as I can get this computer working (see above) I'll have access to that and thousands of other pics. One of 'em will work.
As for the one in question, I'm shirtless in it, so that's not a problem :P -
I guess I'm caught up pretty much Roflmao @Jlz666 video of the dog not liking his bath..hmm i did fail to find the compliment ftom Pa to bunny ?
-
-
@Kathy only if I was a girl, which I'm not! :) I don't wear clothes w/obviously offensive stuff, but I do have one t-shirt which says something rude in binary code, and another that does it as a unix shell script, 99% of people can't read either of them. If it was that easy, I'd just blur it in photoshop.
Darn. I don't think I have a working PS/2 keyboard here. Have to use one to fix the BIOS. Oh well, forget I mentioned a pic until I can dig one of those up. -
*chirp chirp *
I took a recording of the crickets but i couldn't upload it to my album:(
They are reallyloud tonight. -
grr, computer just really hated one of my settings and broke again, so I had to clear the BIOS and start over. It also doesn't like my network card, which means I'd need the install CD, which I don't have and is no longer available online.
