  • @kelani, don't bother about that #3, the Danno guy doesn't play any significant role
  • That #14 will kill me. When I look at the scores of that game I can detect 5-6 players who did get the one-birder. 327 players did enter their scores. This is crazy. @rat, any progress?
  • @Kelani -- This comment my be rather late, but you don't really need a big stomach for that awful stuff. At the end it goes straight through your entire digestive system in less time than it takes to drink it.
  • @bernersenn, @Rat said he's on hiatus today which means he's not playing. Reason: He doesn't have Pixelator installed in his bathroom.

    boom…bada-boom :)

Take a break, play something more relaxing. Suggestions: 3, 6, 19…lol
  • Btw, has anyone figured out if hitting that plank on 6 a "certain way" increases your odds off success? If so, it's gotta be another "exact pixel" thing. I vote for that level if there is ever a contest for BR's "zero skill, all luck" level.
  • @fenikus, think about doing this. #19 - will never touch that. I will have a look at #6, my other favorite - exactly 1 one-birder until now - and a bad one
  • @bernersenn, I hit that 1-birder only once and early on (145K). I didn't know how lucky I got because I never repeated it. I got close with woodpecker's strat (144K) but you have to be in a special mental mood to play it…watching grass grow has more appeal.
  • @mvnla2 shhh. that was the best excuse I could think of. :)
  • @fenikus, last week we talked about the fires in California. Did you hear about the flooding in Serbia. That's also awful, lots of people died already, many, many other people lost everything they had
  • @fenikus no difference for #6. The only possible luck improver I've seen is that alt. strategy where you bounce 1st bird off the big marmoset up top.
  • @kelani, about the integrity of the leaderboards: in that way I can follow you. I don't know what's possible with investigating the data-files. I am a windows specialist, so can do lots with digging in registry or even datafiles (on the pc). On this mobile devices I have no idea what to do them.
  • Hello, hello @kelani, @bernersenn and @fenikus.

I see you're on a discussion about #3. Can you all just let it rest for now, as I'm going to fix it. Thanks! @Kelani and @Fenikus, please join me in the BugSquash room.
  • @bernersenn, yes, terrible situation in Serbia :( My cousin is a photographer for one of the biggest newspapers in Belgrade and went to one of the affected towns to take photos. Instead, he ended up saving a baby and they made a story about him and interviewed him on TV. He is a hero now, but no $$s to pad his wallet for those exclusive photos he didn't take.
  • @bernersenn I meant I just want the rules to apply to everyone equally. If 3 DCB scores go, they all go.

If you like digging around super-encrypted LUA files, the AB data files are perfect. :) I don't know much about mobile code, either. I haven't owned a cellphone since 2003. :)
  • @Kelani, no cellphone since 2003? @Rat, I'll let you have this one :)
  • Hey ho peeps!
Just a quick pop in tonight but there's been 8 or 9 pages since last visit so can't possibly catch up. I see you're all still happily paddling away in the river? Huge congrats for holding the top spots for BP patrons! Sorry,I don't have anything to add to that conversation but my Mum just sent me this vid and my thoughts immediately went to you guys!! C'mon now......admit it @rat @kelani @fenikus @bernersenn This is how you boys react to a perfect fling isn't it? LMAO!! I now have an image of these squeals coming from the corner table in the pub!

@sweetp I loved the pic a couple of pages back,Brilliant!
@Bernersenn it's truly awful. IMO it's not being reported on enough. They need help badly. @fenikus Thank goodness for people like your cousin, that family will be eternally grateful.
OB I'll take a mug of nighty night tea to go please. Got some "Game of Thrones" to catch up on.
    Toodles!
  • @fenikus Yep, a sexy old Sprint camera phone. 640x480 images, 30 sec of 320x200 video recording, and...downloadable ringtones(!)
  • Maybe BBC will mention it. Major news outlets sure didn't.
  • @sweetp, we had just some pubtalk about that issue. Nothing else. Thought this place was meant to exchange our thoughts, talking about levels, strats, dogs, natural disasters, etc.
  • @bernersenn it is, but let's say it's being handled, so my complaining about it here today was counterproductive.
  • @jlz666, nice to see you. Looked at the video - never to young to learn, isn't it?
About Serbia, that's well exposed here in Europe - help is present. There were still forces from the EU as from the UN, they do what they can. I know that the dutch have sent water-experts (the dutch suffered a lot due to the water in the past) to offer a helping hand. The cousin of @fenikus is a hero.
  • @bernersenn Yeah, you Dutchies are masters at taming pesky water. I think you guys sent experts here after Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy and the Mississippi river floods.
  • OMG @jlz666 that was too cute and funny! Loved that little boy's reaction!
  • @Kelani, my Mom (who also lives here) says that they briefely reported on flooding in Serbia the other night on *local* news. That really surprised me because local news don't usually talk about international news.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my family is miraculously *not* affected, thank God. Belgrade is built on hills and is never threatened by floods. Family on my father's side lives down south where flooding is bad, but in a town that has some kind of phenomena where it almost never rains. They even showed a satellite photo showing cloud formations with a hole in the middle. That hole is the area where my father-side family lives.

Edit: But I appreciate all the concern and thoughts and prayers for the well being of the rest of my native country folk :)
  • @Bernersenn the British press did have it as front page news for a couple of days and the last I heard we'd sent some help over but it's all but dissapeared from our screens. Sad but true of life :(
Yeah @sweetp I remember that feeling well for getting 1 star! Haahaaaa!
Ok I'm getting the good old evil eye from hubby so I'm out of here!
  • @fenikus I think local news does that when they run out of robberies and murders to sensationalize. :) Glad your family's high/low and dry.

I live in one of those phenomenons, too. Every freakin line of storms passing by always opens 5 miles before us, and closes again afterward. Even single storms either die or squeeze around us. I don't blame them, I wouldn't wanna be here either. :)
  • My male-dog before my current 'Don' wear the name 'Darko'. Our swiss breeder offered us a series of names starting with 'd'. Darko was among them, we liked it, so our boy was named Darko. Later we became friends with a serbian woman, she heard about the name Darko and said 'that's a serbian boys-name'. Since then we have a more than normal interest for Serbia. Lovely country, lovely - and beautiful - people. It hearts to see then suffer
  • @bernersenn :-) Darko is a nice name and is quite opposite of what it sounds like in English. It means "he who gives gifts."
  • @fenikus, you know that my english isn't that good. So, please pubmembers, don't be evil to me
  • @bernersenn, I just meant that Darko has the word "dark" contained in it. Nothing "evil" like "Poussey" (spelling?) :-)

    Edit: Poessie, sorry!
  • Darko reminds me of Donnie Darko and that scary-ass rabbit.
  • BOOM! All done @fenikus and @kelani.

Didn't know about the floods @fenikus, but sooo good to hear you're all ok!
  • @bernersenn Please don't mistake our occasional snicker at your use of the English language for anything other than what it is. Envy! We all wish we spoke a second language at all, let alone, as well as you do. You're doing great.
  • Cute video! That was how I responded to my score on level 17 yesterday @JLZ666.
  • @RiverRats on #16 2nd bird, are you guys doing the straight fling, or that reverse remi thing? Don't worry, @fenikus, I'm not violating any treaties. :) When my net was down the other day, I left myself a reminder to ask, and just found the sticky note under my shoe..

btw, I'm -done- with that challenge. I can't prove it without tests, but I suspect there's a different repeating score for every aiming coordinate, one of which apparently gives +120k scores. Took me all day to get 113k. No idea what everybody else is doing.

  • @Rat psst. Most people in here know at least 2 languages. Do ya want my old espanol dictionary for Christmas? :)
  • @Kelani I'm proud of myself. Even with sleep deprevation, dehydration, medication, and the lack of nutrition, I didn't make a stupid comment about your Donnie Darko rabbit photos. I almost asked if you'd received permission to post pictures of Mrs. Bunny in the bar. Whew! Dodged a bullet there. My internal filter must be working a little better. I can't imagine what @Hunnybunny would have done to me if I'd posted that comment.
  • @Kelani, what reverse remi…

Edit: re: daily challenge -- I flinged it for half hour last night and half hour during lunch today. Never improved on my 115K highscore (which I don't remember exactly how I got but it was with two birds) but got within few hundred of it several times. I'm just getting started.
  • @fenikus reverse remi = shooting the boomerang bird backwards for 'more damage'. It may be hokum, but some people swear by it.

@Rat yes, that's a big fluffy bullet you dodged! :) Any man dumb enough to compare a woman with that awful thing risks joining the Bobbit club. My filter's not much better. My first edited reply was "Surely she looks better than that monstrosity!".
  • hmmm inbox only shows 16 unread BUT it groups them all by poster so add them up and I've got about 150!!
@fenikus when i was interview years ago by the n.y. post they said ABN players are among the best in the world! !
o.k I can't even try too catch up lol
glad your family is safe @fenikus! !
    thanks for taking care of that @Sweetp ;) ;) told ya @kelani! ! I don't let things go! !
so I'm the only one flinging right now! !
just had the worst luck !! I got the one birder In #9 And only got 102k !! everyone else get 103 But noooo not me!!
Sorry @Pa if i pass you but i know the ratisbac storm will hit N.E sometime this weekend I'll return Robert by then; )
OB a marmoset killer please and some nibble for my partner :)
  • oopsy @Sweetp i thought you were referring to level #3 when you said Boom!!
but i guess it will take a bit but still ty;)♥
  • @Kelani, I know what a reverse remi is but I don't see how you successfully use it on BR-16. Maybe I didn't try enough, but I couldn't get low enough with it.
  • Hey! !! How come i had 2572,+ THEN I gained 2, 150 on level #9 and now Im only at 2573+
I gotta write this down seems like addition wrong?
  • @fenikus Ah, you're probably right. I can't remember what obstructions are around the sling. I'll peek at the walkthrough video...

Whoops. Big box there. Never mind. :)

@Kathy #3 may not be taken care of yet, but it's -being- taken care of. Be happy. :)
  • @Kelani, I know you're itching to go shoot at the River. Go ahead, you probably need a head start anyway :)

@Kathy, no idea what you just said there :)
  • Good Luck Tomorrow @Pa :/
  • Sorry I missed your response @kelani I am happy is being looked at; )
you have no idea what I said where? @fenikus ?
  • ohhhhh @fenikus about the addition. . my bad I didn't count out enough digits
I got confused for a second. . forgot we are counting in the the hundred thousand lol
  • @allriverrats Good luck at the river. I expect 2.6 million by morning. *not by me*
