  • Wow @kelani - a puppy no less! I managed to improve my score move on in Candy Crush and go back to bed!
  • @AngryBirdsSpaceMaster Another hearty congrats!

Organgebird, I'll have a 100,000 Punch, please. Cheers!

P.S. @E-star, Please don't take this the wrong way but the Stamppot could do with a bit less gravy... it's currently served as a soup. :-)
  • @angrybirdsspacemaster I downloaded your app but the app icon won't show. Its shows as the white background with all the lines when an app doesn't have an icon. Ipad 2, ios 7.1
  • @Kathy -- See @Mumsie's post on previous page. Thanks Mumsie for explaining! Kathy -- No need for special laundry -- You sleep with the fruitcake under your pillow still wrapped up. I think wrapped in paper rather than a box might be more comfortable, though.
  • I'm more of a bubble and squeak man myself @Burpie. I like a little caramelization on the vegetables. It adds texture and flavor. Stamppot is a bit mushy for me. Plus, the "squeak" in the name reminds me of home. Since @Burpie's not fond of the way they're making the stamppot in the kitchen, how about we replace it with "Bubble and Squeak" on the menu @E-Star.
  • CongRATs @Kelani. Is this your first puppy?
  • @Blahalb09 -- I got the same icon as you, but I didn't realize it meant no icon, just thought ABSM had picked a strange icon.
  • @AngryBirdsSpace(Chaser) What am I doing wrong? I searched for Reasons on my Ipad apps but don't see it. Is it not available on Ipad yet or am I just not looking in the right place?
  • App icon is currently buggy, as we have discovered. We are putting together a big bug fixes update for later this week. Basically we are re-optimizing for iPad, fixing the icon, re-optimizing for iPhone 4, and fixing the Pack 2 IAP System.
  • @rat search Reasons Comics. Just putting in Reasons may not be enough.
  • You're welcome @Kelani. Thanks for letting me know there was an easy challenge today. lol
  • Hi all, still trying to get to the bottom of my health issue, but I always enjoy lurking in the ever so comfy BP.

As to the menu and stamppot... Sorry @burpie I am not allowed in the kitchen (in real en virtual life heehee) I wasn't aware OB put that much gravy on the stamppot, I always order it without, I am not fond of gravy myself. I will pass on the message to OB. @rat you might want to ask @sunshine about the menu addition, she is in charge of those. You might want to clue her in about the ingredients and prep work, but it sounds interesting for sure :)

@absm congratz on the release!! It sounds like you will be busy with the tweaks and updates. Good luck!

And last but not least congratulations @kelani I see you got yourself a puppy! I am more of a cat person myself, so no puppy's for me yet, but maybe one day when i get around to join in on the challenge. Great to see you pop in more often, I enjoy reading the convo.
  • @rat9 lol, real nice :P There is no good way to take that. hehe

@e-star Apparently so! I also like kitties too, but..they don't award those here, I don't think. :) You'd like my kitty Swipe. He has thumbs on his front paws, plays fetch and loves water (he likes sneaking in the shower with me).

Hope you figure out the health issue. I've been trying to figure one out for 10 years, so I can definitely relate. If you ever need quick medical advice and can't find anyone, my next door neighbor's a doctor who owes me lots of favors. I'd be happy to drag him off his backyard putting green to help ya out :)
  • No way?! Swipe loves water?? Our Jaapie isn't a fan, not a scared of water as he is for the vacuum cleaner, but still... Closest he has gotten is on the rim of the bathtub wondering what the blieb mommy was doing in that weird smelling white bubbly stuff hahahha.

10 years?! Sighhh and I have had it with not finding my ease during the evenings and relax for 3 months and counting. I guess I must consider myself lucky it only started at 35 and not 28 for you i guess, if i remembered the convo correctly.
  • Just checked your album @kelani , no pict of Swipe in the showers :((
    Love the name btw!
  • Busy day:)
Congrats on the puppy @Kelani :)
Ty for explaining the fruitcake @Mumsie hope you enjoyed your game?
@e-star nice to see you pop inn♡♡ and lol ty for the memories of the kitchen fiasco hee hee..
    Hi Pa @mvnla2 @burpie :)
  • @Kelani What? I said thank you.
I'm a cat person too, but I recently lost Robert, AKA: Bob Cat. I haven't had the heart to replace him. Liking the name...Swipe! Sounds like he could get up to some mischief.
Hi E*. I'm glad to see ya up and about. Hate to hear you're still playing around with that pain.
  • Hi Ma. @Kelani found an easy challenge. Everybody is getting puppies.
But he's gone over to the dark side. He's waiting till the challenge is over to post his strategy. He doesn't want to lose his top score status. Ha ha ha he he Tsk, tsk, tsk...

    BFNIMCBLIDK
  • Hey kathy [[[hugsss]]] I know right it seems ages ago... O wait it was hahaha almost 2 years ago! Can you believe it!

@rat I try to keep the spirit high and what better way than to lurk and roam about the nest right? Wednesday another turn with the physioterrorist as @mumsie called them in our PM convo. Hope it will show some changes soon as i am sick of not being my bubbly self. Awww beautiful Rabbit hunter Bob the cat, sniff never seen such a gorgeous cat!
  • ((((((((hugs)))))) iknow right @e-star it was almost 2 years lol.. time flies!!
  • @Kelani -- Just hope you remember that you don't get a puppy unless you post a strat. Come to think of it, a lot of people who are eligible for puppies haven't posted their strat yet. ??? Your friends will be unhappy with you if you wait until the last minute. I've still got a ways to go to get a puppy, let alone beat you. I usually stop when I get above average, but it's been a long time, and my puppies are pretty much grown.
  • I hope you getsome good news at the PT Wednesday fingers crossed..;)
  • @E-Star -- I call them physical torturers, but same idea. However, I am a firm believer in going to as many sessions as THEY will allow. Hope you feel well enough to do some walking and/or exercise on your own. It's amazing how quickly muscle-tone disappears, and how long it takes to get it back.
  • Thanks @kathy hope so too! @mvnla2 unfortunately I don't have extra insurance so I have to pay for each session myself, so although I will keep going if necessary I am not very fond of the idea of needing a lot of sessions as it drains out the wallet pretty fast. I am still moving about and going to work, but. I am no where near the fitness I normally am. Amazing how quickly they disappear. We work our butts of to get a little bit of muscles to let them sneak out of us with in a couple of weeks, so unfair :/
  • Mumsie does another late night pop in! Golf today was just miserable - no fun at all but it was a match against another club and we halved it (i.e. a draw!) so that's two days in a row of golfing in the rain - meant to be playing again tomorrow but if its wet............
@e-star - lovely to have you pop in! Hope weds physio helps!
@rat - easy Challenge today!!! I've nearly worn a hole in the iPad trying for another puppy!
@kelani - does Swipe play on the iPad? Is he your secret for high scores?
OB a hot chocolate to go please - need to get some sleep after last night!
    I'm off nngb @all
  • We have confirmed that Pack 2 will be free forever. There's really no point in adding the IAP now, b/c so many people have it.
  • Look at all those puppies. With more than an hour left in the challenge on a Monday, we already have nineteen new owners. For all @Mumsie's fussin', she's still taking home a puppy. Come one, come all, to the Great Puppy Giveaway.
  • Okay Pa ya got me!! I'll give it a shot. .Im getting NO where in gggl18 fastso wth maybe a puppy will bring me luck. .hmmm IF I can even get there. .
  • Nope;/
  • 22 puppies and counting. We're not going to set a new record but it will be a new second place.
  • @E-Star -- Bummer! I thought maybe the Netherlands had universal government-sponsored health insurance (like Great Britain), which in my mind, would mean as much physical therapy as you needed. Not so, I guess?
  • @all Twenty-three puppies! Not too shabby flingers.
@Kelani I don't know if you noticed, but I kept my score just below yours because you were sooo nice by not beating my top scores recently. I hope you don't mind that I hyped the challenge a little. I might have cost you a top score, but look how many people came and played in your sandbox.
  • Robert was a handsome cat @E-star. Thanks for say so. And thanks again for my wallpaper. I see him every time I come to the computer. He will not be forgotten.
  • Aww @Kelani that is such a sweet And funny story haha. . Im basically a kitty person and i have a few stories.. but when i got my big dumb dog it is a story like yours but I'm tired and 6a.m comes early so I'm turnint in my flashlight for the night.
Pa I caved on 18 :( sorry I'll try again but hey #8 aint to shabby:)
    Night night
*places flashlight in Kimmie special safe*
    Night Pahtnah ♡♡♡
  • @Kelani's right @Estar. A TENS unit could work wonders. Worst case, it distracts you from the pain. Best case, it firms your tushie and eliminates the pain. If your insurance doesn't cover the cost, I have one I'm not using. Send me a PM.

I told you it was an easy one @Kelani. You didn't believe me, did ya? Ha ha ha I was making a joke at your expense before I played it. Then I quickly realized there were lots of points nobody had taken advantage of before and called in the flingers. You single-handedly caused the kennel to be cleaned out. Twenty-three puppies going to good homes because of you. WTG.

I could never declaw a cat. Seems cruel to me. Mine have always had access to the outside to take care of business and Robert loved catching bunnies. Since Robert passed, my wife's cat has decided to use the litter box exclusively. Oh, how I hate that cat. Maybe hates a little strong, but I don't like her much. The cat, not the wife. lol
Polydactyl. Now there's a word you don't get to use very often. I'll bet he could have brought down two bunnies at once with all those claws.
  • Night Ma. Tomorrow is another day.
  • Love your story about Swipe @Kelani! Made me giggle at how he won your heart, and seeing as how much you've spoiled him (well-deserved I might add), it doesn't surprise me that he's such a pain! Awww, but gotta love 'em anyway!

Hey, it's Tuesday across the pond, isn't it? Ok, then I'll be right back!

*places baskets of earplugs down next to front door, two on the bar, and one in the back game room*

It's WHINE TUESDAY everyone! Please, for your hearing's sake use these because I've something really HUGE to whine about!
    Ok, ready everyone?

    whineeeeee...wwwwwhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeee...Wwwhhhhinnnneeee...
    WWHHHHIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
    WWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I had to get a new phone today and LOST ALL OF MY FLINGING PROGRESS! So tell me, why the &*%! did I move all of my AB games to my SD card? I get the new phone back from the sales guy, and he said the "techs" couldn't transfer everything over from the old phone!!! wwwwhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

I've such a headache from thinking about this, I'm going to bed...

    night-night all, and happy flinging!
  • Now that's something to whine about @SweetP. Are you sure the salesman wasn't just being lazy?
  • Good morning! Well done everybody for winning those puppies yesterday. Wow!

@SweetP, That's brutal! Can you try to salvage the data? Should the files be on an SD card or phone still in your posession?

@E-star, I'm always the last guy to hear things... I'm sorry to learn you're not doing so well. Hope things improve soon!
  • Good morning! Quick pop in from me before I leave to work. @mvnla2 yeah we do have a standard medical insurance here in the netherlands, but some things are not included and one can add an extra package (and therefor extra money per month). So emergency stuff is all covered, most hospital stuff as well, the main reason people buy the extra packages is the PT and i never needed it. So didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I never needed.

@kelani and @rat I never heard of the TENS thingy, will have to google it when i get home tonight. Thanks for the offer @rat I will keep it in mind when I know some more! First I want to see what the PT says and maybe have a couple of other tests done. Thanks all for the concerns, that's why I. Love this place!

@kelani I hope you succeed in capturing Swipe, that story is soooo cute!! I can not wait to 'meet' him. Will make a trip to you album and meet patty :)

Gots to go, will probably lurk during the day, because is it's a bit slow goings at work :((
    Tata for now!
  • I agree with the guys @sweetP unless you deleted the whole SD card or your new phone is a dumb one, there must be a way, the salesman just wanted to get to his coffee break!

@burpie I have a ermmm relative (just in case this forum is read o_O) that always talks and talks about the pains of the day and everything about it and nothing more... No other interests,no real hobby's, no real desire to absorb news or other info... The total opposite of me! For that reason I hate to "whine" about my stuff if it makes any sense... Thanks for the well wishes, I hope for a speedy recovery as well. This is so unfamiliar to me, I have never been struggling with something so long... Owwww noooo is this the beginning of the pains of the day?? Shakes head, no no no... Not going to happen! Ghi
  • Just so you know what to look for or ask your doctor about @Estar, it's called a Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator or TENS. It's classed as an electroanalgesia.

Hi @Burpie. You missed an easy puppy.
  • Wow! I just yawned. I'm headed to bed.

    BFNIMCBLIDK But I Hope Not.
  • @Rat9, I noticed about the puppy. I wasn't about to download a new game just for puppy #5 or #6 though. I downloaded Star Wars for an easy badge and ended up playing the whole game.
  • @Rat9 and @Kelani, My above comment about TENS machines was not meant disparagingly. I'm sure they really are fantastic. But at the time, when it was too late to do anything about it, I heard my wife beg the nurse for an epidural, twelve shots of morphine and an AK-47. So I'm thinking that maybe TENS wasn't the best tool for that particular job.
  • @rat9, @burpie, and @e-star - Nope, I don't have my phone any more. It was traded in for the new one. If I still had the old one, it would've been easy for me to transfer all the data to the new one, and I wouldn't be whining so loud! Yup I think the techs were too lazy and the sales guy just wanted to get done with us so he could get his freakin' commission on the sale! Grrrrrr! I'm still soooo mad, I don't even feel like flinging right now! BAH!

And another thing I need to WWWWHHHHHHIIIIIIINNNNNNNNEEEEE about! We got a new Galaxy Tab3 at the same time. Came home and plugged it in to charge the battery. After about two hours, I went to turn on the tablet and nothing! Screen is completely blank, it won't turn on! I even called customer support and the tech had me do a factory reset to see if it would power up, but nothing happened! So, now we gotta go back and get it exchanged. Dang it, I'm doomed!

@e-star, like @burpie, I'm usually one of the last to hear that you're not feeling well. I used to work at a company that manufactures TENS devices and I was lucky to test a couple of them, because of a bad knee. It works wonders, so I encourage you to ask your doctor to prescribe one for you.

Oh my, @burpie! Your lovely wife was on a mission to get rid of that labor pain and didn't care about how, either! But, if you could compare it to having your "goods" twisted in a vise for the duration of each contraction...well you get the idea! Glad no lives were in danger and everything turned out fine. LOL
