  • Hello everyone :), Happy Birdday @mumsie have a really nice day :)
  • Anyone here?
  • Hi @Harrystar6! :D - I'm partly online, but doing other stuff at the same time :D I should clean up a bit, but I'm not feeling like it right now :P
  • Hey @lisko that's good :) I am entering some more seasons scores into my leaderboards and watching TV :D
  • @Harry - I've entered all my scores, except the golden eggs in ABO, I'm not even sure I've found them all o.O I think I need to check those right away :D
  • HAPPY BIRDDAY MUMSIE!!!!!

Sorry the face turned out deformed, it won't move the nose no matter what I try.
  • @lisko nice I still have a few episodes to enter some of my scores in, that's really awesome we had our cat for quite a while now :)
  • I want a cat SO BADLY...... Unfortunately my mom doesn't like them, in fact she's allergic, so no cats. Every choice is on the Mom side when she's involved. She also hates snakes, too, but I never really wanted one either.
  • Hello and I've already happy birthday @mumsie, just check the previous page
  • I have a cute 3-colored cat and it less than 1 year old, some day I will picture it and upload to here, remember to check my album
  • Just doing fine, how are you ?
  • Ooh, sure, I'd love to see the cat!
  • I'm going to fling now, see ya'll later
  • Oh! And @AMslimfordy, talking is good, it makes the air much more pure. And there's always bad days and that kind of stuff. I'm not sure about your situation, but sounds to me like there's been some problems? Hopefully everything's fine now and you'll always have us Nesters on your side to make sure that you're not alone :D

It's somehow funny how it affects you in the internet. You can chat with someone you've never even met, but when there's some terrorist hitting to innocent people which are someone's friends or family, it affects also your own life (like the Boston incident). I've never met @Kathy or @AMslimfordy, but when I read that they or their relatives have been close to that, it just makes my heart jump up in the throat.
  • Happy Birthday Mumsie:)
    Good morning all!!!
  • Good Morning, all.

Gracious, I spend a day outside away from the computer, and now there's so much I have to catch up on!

I know exactly what you mean about hamsters @AngerManagement -- having house rabbits feels sometimes like you have little cartoons running around the house. They do things that are so cute or so silly, you just can't really believe you have these strange creatures in your home!

Hi @Kathy; I hope you enjoyed your day yesterday! (And you fab in that crown, BTW. :D) Love the story of your parrot -- such a clever bird!

We should definitely get together in RL. We could have a Greater New England ABN MeetUp. :-) Which I think would consist of you, me, and @AMslimfordy -- although I haven't checked the map in a while. Perhaps there are a couple other nesters in our area.

I'm so glad you had a good weekend @AMslimfordy, and that you worked out a positive resolution to issues that have been concerning you. Good for you for taking the initiative, and I'm so happy you're feeling better! Maintaining a relationship is always hard work; I'm sorry to tell your that after 23 years of marriage it doesn't get any easier, but at least it's always interesting. Sometimes it feels like my husband and I have a "frank and open exchange of views" every other day. But what matters is that you keep talking, and more importantly, listening and keeping an open mind. And our secret is that eventually we both realize we're being idiots and end up laughing together. It's always going to be a challenge, but if you both keep trying, it'll be OK. (There, that's my relationship pep talk for the day. :D)

Meanwhile, I do hope you got outside yesterday and enjoyed the gorgeous weather we had! I think it looks like more of the same today; I'm so glad I don't have to work and can get outside again for a while.

Our bluebirds were very busy in the back yard and at the feeder yesterday afternoon. We watched Papa bluebird constantly finding tasty grubs and seeds and feeding them to the babies, who were apparently waiting on the end of our roof, unfortunately just too high for us to see them.

My husband and I spent much of the day attacking weeds, and then we had a nice lovely rest on the deck for an hour a so just watching all the birds come and go. The weather was glorious, there were lots of birds of many different kinds, and the whole experience was wonderfully restful. Especially after all our hard work; we were feeling quite pleased with ourselves.

I entered the data I had collected on the first brood of bluebirds in Cornell Lab's NestWatch program, cleaned out the nest box, and probably within a week or so, I should be able report signs of a new nesting activity in a week or so. This time I printed a data collection report and hung it on a clipboard right next to the front door, and I'm going to print a calendar and put it on the wall too, so I can have a reminder to go check the box regularly.

Hello @HunnyBunny -- I've missed you! Not that you haven't been around, but I haven't. I LOVE your story about the Greek parrot. That is hysterical! I know there's a discussion about jokes about pigs, but maybe there needs to be one for Funny Incidents with Birds. LOL.

Hi, @tas. Another friend I haven't caught up with in ages. Didn't know you had lizards -- they're fascinating. I find them very beautiful. Plus they look at you like they've been around so much longer than you have, and know things you'll never have a clue about. We love seeing lizards whenever we're down in the Caribbean.

  • OK, more catching up...I seem to show up once in a while, write a novel, and then disappear until it's time to post another length tome...

Hello @E-Star, my dear friend! Sorry about your weekend; so glad you're back. [[hugs]] Sorry about your ACB scores. I did have one 3rd place score there for a while in level 2-1, but I see I've been bumped down to 6th. That's OK, I didn't really expect to stay there as long as I did. Somehow some of my scores are missing; I could have sworn I entered them all, but I probably just flaked out. I am finding it really difficult to play on my iPad mini -- the screen is just a bit too small, and I have a hard time reaching across the screen with my right hand to fling the birds, it just feels awkward. But overall I love ACB, even though it can be frustrating!

Hello @Firebombbird! Hope you're doing well! It's always so nice to see you here!

Congratulations on your beautiful new family addition @Lisko! What's his name?

Happy, happy, Birdday @Mumsie! I hope you have a great birthday celebration and a wonderful year full of health and happiness. You're a delightful person, and I wish you all the best.

Hi, @mvnla2; thanks for pointing out Bird Life International -- I'll have to go check it out. The Massachusetts chapter of Audubon does amazing work, and happens to be right near here in Lincoln, MA. Hope you're doing well.

Sorry to anyone I didn't manage to say hi to individually. I'm going to try to finally finish ACB. That pesky level 2-12 is going to be the death of me!

    Happy flinging!
  • @JunkenMetel - Haha, his name is Lucifer :D I can't help getting in love with an animal with such a great name :D

It's nice to see you around from time to time :D
  • Mumsie - comes into the BP and is bowled over by the many good wishes and E*'s banner!! Thank you all so much!! Cannot believe it is less than a year since I joined ABN and met all of you!
Mumsie ((((((Hugs))))) everyone (she either has extraordinarily long arms or she's hugged everyone one at a time !!)

OB - I know Slim is buying the drinks ( thanks Slim and delighted your talk worked out well! ) but if you could put that case of Cristal I bought on ice now - then people can have some whenever they feel like! And mix up the special non - alcoholic drinks for my young friends.

Mumsie goes to the door and hauls in a ginormous bag of cookies! "Blues, some plates for these please"

I've had a lovely day so far - played golf ( in the rain) mixed 4somes match - and hubby & I won! So through to the next round! 4 of the g'kids are coming later and my daughters and I are going to have a 'girly' night with a chick flick and a takeaway!

    Thanks again one & all!
  • *walks towards OB and asks* could you get the cake @Sunshine made for @Mumsie Birthday out of the kitchen please, thank you sweet OB!
  • Sorry Mumsie I can not stay longer, but I hope you win the second round as well and have a marvelous time with the kids and g'kids. [[[huggggsss]]]]] and hope to catch you later today!

  • @JLZ666 damn, I knocked my garage thru to make a big kitchen. So no boys for me, then!
  • @CmdrBond -- Congrats on official publication of your guide for Android backup! I'll gladly join you in tooting your horn, even if I don't use Android.
  • Thank you everyone! Whenever you worry about being old just remember it beats the alternative!!! Good night God bless one & all!
  • @JunkenMetel @Lisko @Kathy @mvnla2 @E*

Thanks for the warmth! It was a conversation that we should have had a couple years ago, to be perfectly honest. One of those things where all was forgiven but the air was never really cleared, ya know?

Anyway, between helping solidify our future and putting a stopper in less-than-perfect part of my past, I feel pounds lighter.

Sorry to sound sexist, but I haven't felt this good since before I started dating. You women, sheesh.

    (Totally kidding. *hides*)
  • *feels a wind along side her face while she walks in* huh? @AMslimfordy?
*looks around* reads up.... ?!?! Whahahahahahaha yup I think nothing can confuse a man more than a woman, so could not agree more with ya Slim, but than again, men sheesh LOL... Yup both parties in a relationship need to have an open line Of communication and a clear air is the best air to breathe and glad to hear you both came out with a stronger perspective, it holds good fortune for the future if a big bump in the road is taken and overcome. But ermmmm... *taps fingers on the counter* slim???!!! I am ready for bed and you crush one of the best mysteries ever!!! So if I can not sleep tonight cause ya just told me ya were NOT perfect?! Nooooo, next ya gonna tell me santa isn't real?! But all kidding a side, because I have found my soulmate and married him, my heart just aches when others can't find or hold on to it... So hearing you as you say solidify (do I hear wedding bells???? HahahLOL) makes my heart smile Even a bit more than usual!! And yup I know ya don't wanna (men sheesh!) but here is a BIG HUGGG from the Dutchie!!!
  • * poofs in* i felt a breeze.. Heard bells ?hmm looks under all tables booths etc..
    @Amslimfordy hiding somewhere,
Seriously slim i couldn't be happier to hear that things are working out.it's amazing what a heart to heart communication can bring:) i wish the best for you:)
Just kidding about the bells..not trying to rush you off:/
You know we all love you here we are all family here in the nest..:)
If i may ((((hugs))) :) the past is over..today is tomorrow's past so i if you have a wonderful today there will be no regrets in the future:)

    Sweet dreams :)
  • Wedding bells?! You have any idea how much those God-forsaken diamonds cost? Oy vey... Why can't it be like.... an engagement cookie? Or an engagement ribbon?
  • Roflmao hahahaha..ooh my who brought the funny guy
No...slim that's not gonna cut it...hahaha engagement cookie ooh my
*tears rolling down cheeks* shhh can't wake E*

    Hahaha...ohhh..
  • @AMSlimfordy -- Started to write you a post here, but ended up sending it as a PM. I don't think you need a diamond ring, cookie, or ribbon. Best wishes for a happy future, with or without wedding bells.
  • @kathy -- I really liked what you said about today and tomorrow. Good advice for all.
  • Happy to hear everyone is going great, including our very own Sling God...@amslimfordy:D G'night everybody:]
P.S, now the air is breathable, the stag night won't be too far off;D
  • Best quote ever:

"Today is tomorrow's past so i if you have a wonderful today there will be no regrets in the future".
