- Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 6-10 Walkthrough | Loch Ness Day! Thanks. I had to restart the game about 10 times before I could download AND OPEN all the levels. But it's working now. Still have a problem where some of my high scores in early non-Pig-Day levels were reset to zero after downloading from cloud, but other stuff seems to be working.
- Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 6-10 Walkthrough | Loch Ness Day! I just noticed that almost all of my earlier Pig Day levels are now in the cloud and not directly accessible. When I click to download them, it says "Ptrocessing" but never goes beyond that. Is anyone else seeing this? Do you know how to fix it? Ot are those earlietr levels and scores now lost forever? Thanks.
- Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 6-9 Walkthrough | First Spaceflight! Yup. My score also came from a moonshot with first yellow bird.
- Angry Birds Seasons On Finn Ice Level 1-11 Walkthrough P.S. Now that I have looked at the strategies posted here, I would say that what I did is quite similar to what ABeggerToo did.
- Angry Birds Seasons On Finn Ice Level 1-11 Walkthrough I hardly ever visit the walk-through pages so I am unaware of most of what goes on here. For the record: I posted my score within minutes of getting it. I had no idea there was any sort of daily challenge going on, nor that a "puppy" (whatever it is exactly) was a potential prize. I was not and am not trying to win the competition and so I have little concern in whether my score is permitted within its rules or gets rejected. I'll let you folks decide. Let the chips fall...I do enjoy overall seeing how my scores stack up against the others who visit this site...which is why I enter my scores on the Leaderboard. As I write this, I have not yet read any of the comments on this page. So I have no idea what strategies other players have used nor if they are similar to what I did (I will probably read them now however). The only reason I am even writing this is because I received an email alerting me to your comment above...and I didn't want to appear rude or unfriendly.So...as for the strategy I used, here goes:It was a two-birder.The first bird (Terrance?) was aimed at the pig on the upper motorcycle and angled in such a way that the bird lands on the ledge below-right — doing so in such a way that it rolls and takes out all the pigs on the ledge. The orange bird arcs high enough to hit the uppermost stone shelf from underneath. However, I wait to expand the bird until it is on its downward arc nearer the middle-right shelf. Most of the time, a good shot destroys everything except the big pig in the mask (or whatever it is). However, on my one lucky occasion, I also took out that pig -- saving me from needing a third shot and giving me the high score.
- Angry Birds Star Wars 2 Leaderboard Thanks. Sadly, things have only gotten worse since I posted my original comments. With Star Wars II's "Master Your Destiny," you are *required* to slowly deplete your supply of characters to complete the levels. This finished me. I no longer play Star Wars II.
- Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 1-6 Walkthrough | Aviation Day Pellystar:It was indeed a one-birder. And it was mainly luck. I did what seems like the same thing that dmsral (@dmsral) did as described above: "get the top bird to roll across the top of the highest pig square and continue on to clip the three balloons."If done well, this should eliminate everything but the helicopter on left. Typically, I take that out with a second bird. Doing this, the best score I could get was around 153,000 or 154,000.On one such attempt, just as I was about to fling the second bird, something bounced back up from below and took out the helicopter. Couldn't see what it was. Happened too fast and I wasn't expecting it. That resulted in my high score. I would think, with even more luck, breaking 160,000 is possible.
- Angry Birds Star Wars 2 Leaderboard Thanks for the kind words. Inspired by your wish, I decided to post the comment to my personal blog (Slanted Viewpoint).
- Angry Birds Star Wars 2 Leaderboard I wanted to offer my two cents regarding ABN’s policy of allowing scores achieved via character swaps on the Leaderboards. In brief, I support the decision. But not because I think it’s a good idea. Rather because, given how Rovio has structured the game, you really had no other choice. Here’s the dilemma from my perspective:Completing any Angry Birds level is about achieving two related goals. The first is to get the highest score you can. The second (which doesn’t get mentioned here as much) is to solve the puzzle. To explain what I mean by “solve the puzzle,” I go back to the original Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons games. Here, all players were restricted to the same level playing field: the set of birds assigned to each level. There was an unstated assumption (which turned out to be true) that Rovio had designed each level so that it was possible to get a top score that was significantly higher than the minimum needed for three stars. To achieve these top scores, you needed to figure out how Rovio had designed the level to be best played. That was the puzzle to be solved.Often there were non-obvious semi-hidden paths to success. Figuring out what best to do was similar to solving a maze game or a crossword puzzle. This aspect of Angry Birds was always the most fun and challenging for me. There was the joy of that “aha” moment when you suddenly realized there was a totally different way to play the level than you had been doing, one that achieved a much higher score. That’s why, when I checked the Leaderboards and saw some top scores (or worse still, average scores) that were significantly higher than my best effort, I knew it was time to head back to the drawing board — and figure out what I was doing wrong. Eventually, occasionally only after hours of experimenting, I almost always solved the puzzle and joined the group of top scores. As a last resort, I checked the walk-throughs to discover what I had missed. For me, going to the walk-throughs was an admission of defeat. It was tantamount to going to the solutions page for a crossword puzzle to find out the answers to the clues that had stumped me.Taken together, this all made Angry Birds and especially Angry Birds Seasons two of my all-time favorite games. But now, with things like the character swaps (and even worse, the horrible “Last Chance” option) in Angry Birds Star Wars II, all of that is gone. Well, it’s not entirely gone. I can still play the game as if those things do not exist (which is what I do). But it’s gone if I want to compare my scores with the Leaderboards here at ABN or in Apple’s Game Center. This became especially apparent in the Rise of the Clones levels. There were levels that had top scores between 20,000 and 45,000 more points than I had been able to achieve. I was almost certain there was no way to get those scores with the default set of birds. Mystified as to how these scores had been obtained, I went to the walk-throughs. Sure enough, I discovered that these scores were made possible only via character swaps. The purist in me rejected this as a solution. Now, I suppose one could argue that figuring out which characters to use and how best to use them is just another type of puzzle to be solved. I might be persuaded to agree with that, but only if the swaps were truly part of the game — meaning that players had an unlimited permanent pool of all the characters to draw from. That way you could experiment and try different strategies — just as you can do with the default set of characters. As we all know, this is not the case. Inevitably, to experiment with an assortment of different characters, and especially to try low probability of success maneuvers, you will have to spend money to purchase additional character quantities. This erases the level playing field of yore. Those with more money (or at least a greater willingness to spend money) will wind up with a significantly better chance of attaining high scores. And, without checking the walk-throughs (which, as I said, I like to avoid), there is no way of knowing how the listed high scores were achieved.Let’s be frank. The reason Rovio put all these additional options into their games is not because they thought it would improve gameplay or add to a player’s enjoyment. If that was the case, they could have included the options for free or perhaps for a one-time upgrade fee. No, Rovio is looking for every way it can to squeeze more money out of its user base. And a never-ending stream of in-app purchasing is, from their perspective, the perfect way to do it. Combined with the incessant unavoidable advertising (and “Stuck?” screens and “Carbonite melting” messages) that keep appearing, my personal enjoyment of Angry Birds Star Wars II has deteriorated to the point that I almost ready to abandon it altogether. So yes, for all these reasons, I would prefer if the Leaderboards remained free of character swaps and such. However, I recognize that enforcing this, especially for a game that had these options built in right from the start, is all but impossible to do. As I see it, you (ABN) were in a rock vs. hard place position and made the best decision you could. It’s just too bad that Rovio put you in that position.
- Angry Birds Seasons Leaderboard I don't mean that it lists the eggs as a separate category. It's just that the sum of the golden egg scores for each episode (Back to School, Piglantis, etc.) are added to the score for the level itself. You can see this if you look at the score in the Leaderboard and compare to the score for the same episode as seen in the game. They will now be different.
