  • Angry Birds Seasons Invasion Of The Egg Snatchers Update Out Now! This is why I LOVE Angry Birds!
  • Angry Birds 2 – The Official Sequel to Angry Birds – Out Now Worldwide! @banklerI am happy to hear that someone from Rovio is reading these comments. I hope you are able to pass this on to them.I started playing AB, Seasons, Rio, SW, SWII and Space on my PC, then switched over to my iPhone. I love those games and had fun repeating many levels on the iPhone. Then, it starting going downhill with Stella. The graphics in Stella are beautiful and, at first, I loved the game. Then, I hit the first ad and the enforced wait to move to the next level.I wrote to Rovio and asked if there was any way I could pay for the game and, thus, avoid the ads. "No" was the answer. My interest in Stella faded and I have abandoned the game after completing 51 levels. I never could understand the update with little pigs popping up out of the forest and collecting items and the roulette wheel reward graphic. Too complex.I got Stella Pop and, again, loved the graphics. I hate the limitation due to the "lives". I am glad that I have a choice as to whether or not I see an ad, but there are levels where, I believe, a paid-for power bubble is necessary to three-star the level. My interest in Stella Pop faded quickly, and I abandoned the game.In my opinion, Rovio has lost the essence of what made the original Angry Birds so popular. They created really cute characters, but the game-playing public will not follow cute characters if the basic gameplay is lousy. What made the "classic" AB games so good?1. You can see the entire game at once. No guessing at unrevealed objects.2. The game resets to its original line up.3. The birds are in a defined line-up. (Switchable in Star Wars II, but still a basic "given" line-up.)4. With a non-random start screen, no unrevealed objects and a given bird line-up, the only variable is the skill of the player. As the player repeats the level, the player's skill increases until, eventually, three stars ("win") are achieved. On challenging levels, this may take may resets. I might have reset a hundred times or so on some really difficult levels. With Stella Pop and the new AB2, Rovio has apparently changed the formula that made the classic AB games great.1. Bird (or bubble color) line-up is no longer pre-defined. 2. Game changes slightly from reset to reset. (Bubble colors and distribution change.) 3. The player cannot see the entire game at once, and must guess at unrevealed objects. 4. Artificial limit on number of resets per playing session. 5. The skill and experience of the player is no longer that important. What seems to be important is the willingness of the player to spend real money on bird-coins and buy more lives, more power, etc.Since Stella Pop was so disappointing to me, I decided to wait a bit before giving AB2 a try. My worst fears were confirmed: Limitation on resets ("lives"), random game elements and unrevealed objects.I am not some slacker living in my mother's basement with nothing better to do than play video games and wait for a "lives" refill. I am an IT professional and make a living in this field. I am a "Girl Who Codes". In my job, I have to fly from Los Angeles to Europe about every month. I love taking out my iPhone and playing as many Angry Bird levels as I can during the 10-hour flight. The last thing I need is artificial limitations on resets, forcing me to wait for another session where I can three-star with increasing experience on that particular level. If I have to wait, I'll just pull out something else like my Kindle, a Sudoku book or even (if desperate) the airline in-flight entertainment and just forget all about Angry Birds.Rather than get frustrated with AB2, I just decided to not download it for now. Instead, yesterday, I bought myself an iPad Mini and downloaded the classic games. I will start from scratch and spend my enforced airplane time on Angry Bird with gameplay I enjoy, without artificial "lives" limitations and other irritations. I needed an iPad mini, anyway, for my job and an entire blank slate of classic AB games is a welcome side benefit.
  • Angry Birds 2 – The Official Sequel to Angry Birds – Out Now Worldwide! @ericbirdzI am with you 100%."Also, I hate this thing about “I don’t have enough lives to keep playing”. I was happy as a pig in slop paying a few bucks for the full version of other AB games where I had unlimited fast attempts. WHY ON EARTH IS THIS A THING NOW? Why can’t I just buy the “full” version of a game upfront and not have to wait up to 30 minutes to replenish my lives? Why has God (Rovio) forsaken us? Again, I’d HAPPILY pay for the app. I’m sure it’d be more than $0.99 like the old days, but surely it couldn’t be more than $5 to keep their bottom line intact."I, too, like to play Angry Birds while on an airplane. I fly from Los Angeles to Europe once a month, and look forward to a few guilt-free hours of flinging fowl once I settle in my seat. But, now, I am limited by these artificial "lives" where I have to wait to continue playing. I hate that. My life is busy enough with minor details like EARNING A LIVING, and I can't drop everything and play a round or two of Angry Birds all day. The enforced waits just tick me off.
  • Angry Birds 2 — The Official Sequel to Angry Birds — To Be Launched July 30th Worldwide! I really like Angry Birds, but dislike the time-out features. If I have some time to relax and play a bit, I don't want to have to stop because of their time limits. I find myself just putting it down, doing something else and forgetting all about it.I don't think I'm going to even start with this iteration.
  • Angry Birds Space Rocket Science Show Episode Guide I love it!I'm old enough to remember the beginning of the Space Age. I remember Sputnik, the Mercury 7 and the moon landing. I was a real Space Nut when I was a kid, and have continued following space news since.
  • Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 4-5 Walkthrough | Midsummer Eve! @mvnla2The Scandinavian maypole is different from the maypoles you might see in the USA. The best advice I can give you is to put "Scandinavian maypole" in Google Images and have a look. The maypole is covered with greenery and has green wreaths attached to crossbeams. "They" say that there isn't enough green on May 1 in the Far North to cover a maypole, so therefore the Nordic folks cover the maypole with greenery at Midsummer. The pig on the right is lighting a bonfire, traditional for Midsummer. There are all kinds of scrap wood on the fire, including an old wooden boat. There are people who go around looking for great bonfires, just like some of us drive around before Christmas looking for decorated houses. Remember, it won't be dark, since they have sunlight all night long. Even in southern Sweden, the sky is still light at midnight. Also note the traditional summer vacation cabins have satellite dishes! Finally, Midsummer is a rural holiday. I have heard the cities are almost deserted with families leaving for their summer cabins in the countryside.
  • Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 4-5 Walkthrough | Midsummer Eve! In Scandinavian countries, Midsummer is one of the most important holidays. After going through the long, dark, brutal winter, they revel in the almost-24-hour sunlight.Midsummer Day is always on a Saturday, nearest the true astronomical solstice. That means Midsummer Eve is always a Friday, celebrated with bonfires and partying very very hearty. The Piggies are celebrating a traditional Finnish Midsummer Eve. The pig on the right has a pile of wooden objects, and is lighting a bonfire. The Scandinavian-style maypole is decorated with flowers. The pigs on the left have just arrived at their lakeside summer cabins for the long holiday weekend.Young unmarried women and girls, wishing to get married some day, can collect seven different varieties of flowers, then place them under their pillows on Midsummer Eve. They will dream of their future husband.
  • Angry Birds Seasons Tropigal Paradise Update Out Now! I am surprised no one else has commented on the change in the scoring while the Mighty Eagle is in play. Now, they give you a running score as well as a percentage.I've calculated a few of these, and have been able to determine a target score for 100% Mighty Eagle destruction. This is incredibly helpful.Maybe this has been in the game before. The is the first I've noticed it.FWIW, my new Seasons loaded perfectly on my iPhone 5S and has not crashed. It's working great.
  • Angry Birds Seasons The Pig Days Level 3-12 Walkthrough | May Day The bonfires were lit, in pagan days, to scare away the witches and other bad people before the cows were let out in the pasture on May 1. In Scandinavia, cattle are kept in barns through the cold winter, then allowed out into free pasture on May 1.I met a really nice Swedish lady on FB and we have become fast friends. I've been learning about Swedish and Scandinavian culture from her.
