Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Tatooine level 1-5 is to launch Obi-Wan towards the junction of the ice and wooden blocks of the first structure. Call in the Force upon impact by tapping the first wood square. The blocks should be sent flying to the right of the screen, detonating the tnt and destroy all the “Sand Pigs”.
Note: In this video, Luke is not yet equipped with his lightsaber. Obi-Wan Kenobi will give him one on Level 1-9.

63,410 same method. Aim Obi Wan at the 4th ice brick, call The Force on the wire support, just before impact. Took a while to figure out how Obi Wan works. Wish I can use him on my drive home ;)
So I see how you achieved your score but you actually figured out how he works? I still have no clue.

This is not a rope, it’s concrete square lollipop. Flying with rotation makes some nice disasters. Improved 25 places higher (after the night), step by step…

I made 62.220 without film watching. Different tap point (to the right). This one from film didn’t work form me. Obi Wan Force are hard controlled :)).
Yeah, me too, I got consistently higher scores by applying the force next to the TNT on the right as the bird was almost at the left tower.
I made inside the tower tap point too. So many different points to place the force and tap places to move. Improved, but not 64K yet.
Interesting another thing is the way debris flying. Sometimes backwards (from TNT). This makes a lot of crash.
I could play this level all day cause its so fun! Takes a while to get OW (Obi Wan) and The Force figured out but a lot of fun trying. I also made it into the Lack of Faith club – another badge of the true birdaholic. I aimed OW between the top glass brick and the wood block above it, on the first tower. The Force just to the right of the TNT. This gives an easy 61k. Will revisit later to see if I can better than my current 63k. Congrats to @thebird – how about sharing your ascent?
Obi Wan gets more powerfull in the middle of Death Star episode gameplay. I came back to this level and improved for some 2k.
@bird-addict and @bird-tester Thanks! Doing it your way, I realized something about Obi Bomb I hadn’t seen before. His force emanates sort of like sound waves, so if you are approaching a large surface and you activate the force BEFORE he hits, it will push the entire surface whereas if you wait until he strikes the surface, the force takes the shape of the hole you punch in the surface. Now I have to go back to some other levels and see how I can take advantage of this new knowledge!

I need an advice from someone better then me. I improved to 64.540 (+30 positions). I can clear left tower, send it to almost all direction; colapse left tower to the right and to the left, etc. Top scorers – which direction fall yours left tower? Anyone?
Hi. The direction its no relevant, what matters its the distance an the ANGLE, AND your actual flying angle too. Example:(For max force-power) when you come EXACTLY horizontal, thats mean “perfect” point of fly (no up or down) and you “force” something right in front of you, the area Obi cover its huge; the number of elements “forced”, the same; and the distance the go its seems to be improved… IF YOU FORCE IT equally HORIZONTAL.
The Thing you always “try” to reach your target with the appropiate direction-angle. I’ve use that on the left tower in that way and almost clear everything.
For this level, try to tap EXACTLY in front of you whatever, no up, no down. You’ll see the difference
THX. Up to now I don’t mastered what you described. I played this level hard before so I was empty of fresh ideas. I improve +560 and brake 65K barier. I’ll be back. Now I made Red Planet (Speace) improvements.

Thank you so much for spelling out just what to do with Obi Wan. I was beginning to think something was either wrong with my touchscreen or my brain. Felt like an idiot!! After reading your instructions – got it on the first attempt. Now, I really feel stupid!!
Small TIP for increased scoring.
Not exactly under your control but do-able… try to avoid to hit the TNT (its better to get it fly-away); try to clear the plants on the right slope; calculate where you will land and smash something valuable.
There seems to be several ways to approach this level. I did better by aiming Obi between the top two glass bricks and tapping on the wire frame box next to the first tower to activate the force just before impact.
I got several 64k+ using this strategy:
Aim Obi-Wan on upper small ice cube on first tower. Activate his force before impact & tap the force on the second tower from last.
In this way, much wooden blocks will fall on the far right side.
Scores – 62k-65k+
You realise that it is possible to hit Obi-Wan on the ground and as he bounces from the impact you Force push the tower? Its way more effective
My strategy is similar to what @samuelredbird describes. It’s such a fun shot, I figured I’d make it my first ABN video. If anyone has problems viewing it, please let me know. I’m still working out all the kinks. Playing while recording on PC ain’t easy.

NonVideo: Fire Obi-Wan at the plant on the flat area in front of the first structure. As soon as he bounces, and just before impact, target the lone square wood block in the middle of the first structure. My 65k was also obtained with this strat. Higher scores are definitely possible.

I’ll only say: WHY to be concerned about all cheap-scoring stuff on left wall IF a small stone/metal brick could do “precise” aiming and damage better than all wood/ice stuff? BETTER if you took out both pieces…
As have no change to achieve underdog for me on this one but I’ll share a releveant pint for better scoring: tap on the (ignored) central-metal pieces to activate force-push… better if you aim Obi right there too. If correct pixel-like is activated… watch the magic but probably one of the more difficult soft-spot ever… too many variables involved and have no complete list… GO, UNDERDOGS, GO!

Yup, @kelani, this is how I managed 65930 last night shortly after the Challenge started. I had another low 65k, but haven’t bettered last night’s best.
@bikkit @tienshenlong @justpast40 Thanks for the feedback. :) FWIW, I don’t think there’s any single magic spot for aiming the Force push. I chose the block because it worked, and was easy to find and click in that short time period. TSL’s suggestion about targeting the vertical wire to the right also works well. As does targeting the stone block at 4:00 to the wood one in the video. :)
TSL – I think your score may be safe today., unless @druidie found a better strategy?

Regardless of where your aiming point etc. is, the highest scores seem to happen when the “potato masher” sets off the TNT and gets blown back into the debris.
Funny enough I got a higher score by wiping out all pigs with only one OW! BUT only earned 2 stars. (I did it by lobbing OW over the tower and aimed at the midst of pigs and tappin to the right of OW (at abt the 4 o’clock posit.) Just as OW nears the pigs heads. This detonatedthe tnt also. All pigs ousted w/ 1 bird.
Able to repeat success several times but always only 2 Stars
Evidently you must use tower to innihilate pigs.
