Angry Birds Star Wars Moon of Endor Level 5-15 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Moon of Endor level 5-15 is to push the branch rightward across the wheels, eventually causing the AT-ST to topple backwards. All that remains is sniping the lonely pig above with Han’s blaster. Alternatively, try launching the branch upward, through the pesky pig above and beyond, onto the AT-ST. It’s a hard shot, but earns a 1-bird clear for more points. The score in the video below is 91,060.

@thee-michelle, @mumbler63, I have not entered my scores yet for AB SW, but I have been around here for a long time. I’m a top 10 ABO player. I just scored 103870 here. Same as the video approach here. Shoot obi at the center of the end of the first tree trunk, wait until he hits, then press 1-2 cm on the right of the AT-ST and hope one of the tree trunks topples it. You have to get it to drop as in the video, as stated by @thee-michelle and hope it’s lined up correctly to keep destryoing its own legs, then the tree trunks. After 86k the score stopped going up, so I took the final pig on top out to end up around 93k + the unused obi bird for +103k. I think there is more to gain as there were still two trees not destroyed as the AT-ST was shooting too low.

POI:
1. The front left side of the nearest log, placed on 5 other logs.
2. The powerup score mark.
3. The upper island, where a pig trooper is placed.

Aim ObiW to the center of POI 1. Fling him as soon as all three laser beams hit the POI 3. Right on impact with POI 1 use force in the direction of POI 2. As a result, 4 or 5 rounded logs should be smashed (the left one, in my case, has been survived, but it was used for a second bird), the horizontal log should hit the vertical log, sending it to an AT’s direction. After it hits the AT’s foot, the AT will start falling backward, shooting to the upper hanging pig, following with TNT’s ignition. It seems to me, that in case, if it shoots both the left and right ends of the upper ropes, the probability of “good” AT’s placement will be a bit higher. After the explosion, in good case, the AT will survived shooting as longer as possible increasing the score, in case of early AT destruction, it’ s about time to restart the level. It may take many tries in order to get a good AT’s placement. When the scoring stops, destroy the upper pig in POI 3. In my case, I used HS under the survived rounded log, shooting through it to the upper pig.
Hope that will help anyone. And may the force be with you…

114750 on Android phone …. Lancer854 (@maxim-barybin), first let me say WOW & Congratulations on your score. I also want to say thank you. With about a day spent on this level, I’d only improved from 94430 to 97770 & was about to move on, but decided to try a few more times. Well the Angry Birds Gods must have thought I’d posted a whine here, because all of a sudden when the log nudged the knee of the AT-ST, it fell into position & I watched as points added up. In this shot it’s possible to see the remnants of the blast trail near the logs on the left: http://angrybir.de/Ikdxxr. A few shots later, points stopped adding up: http://angrybir.de/17Vp1kM.

With just this 1st shot, my score was only 60 off my highest & I only needed to kill the top helmeted green pig with Han & I would then have 10k bonus from the last Obi : -). I’d waited a short while to see if the AT-ST would tilt to take out the rest of the logs on its left, but I didn’t want to wait too long as I was afraid I’d accidentally launch Han & not just waste the shot, but not be able to take out the top helmeted pig if only last Obi remained. I took the very safe 2nd shot shooting Han up to kill the helmeted one instead of chancing shooting Han straight ahead towards the remaining log ends while shooting up to the helmeted pig for some extra points. I didn’t want to chance missing the helmeted pig; it just wasn’t worth it to me.

Thanks to Lancer854 @ maxim-barybin for posting ;-) I am revisiting some of the MoE levels to take advantage of the crazy points available. When I looked at my leaderboard I had only 98K++ on this one and saw your 133K+ score so I came here to improve and boy did I hit the jackpot!!!
@amslimfordy – Can you please raise the threshold on this one…I finished with 291480!!! The leaderboard would only let me go up to 250K. Here’s my screenshot showing the score:

http://angrybir.de/1hQthJi

As for the strat…it’s the same as everyone else’s with a whole lotta patience and some “L” factor ;-)
I sent Obi to the center of the front horizontal log and after he made contact…I put the Force out and right of the AT-ST (same as others).
It took about 15 resets to get the AT-ST firing in a good position. He tipped back and got all of the pigs except the top left Trooper pig. But the difference was that when he fell back, his lasers were firing very low and directly into that one “circle log” on the bottom right. The long logs were piled near by but I didn’t get the points from them…only the circled log. For a moment I was going to reset but I saw that his lasers were firing directly into that log, even though they were not scoring for the first 30 seconds to a minute. Then I noticed the points started adding up rather quickly.

Then I noticed a pattern…every few seconds the score would go up by exactly 90 points followed by a quick 100 more points.
This repeated over and over…I tried to count the seconds in between the accumulating points pattern…It seems anywhere between 3 seconds to about a minute, the score will increase 90 points and then almost immediately tack on another 100K. 30 seconds later same thing…90 points followed by a quick 100 points. 10 seconds later 90 points followed by a quick 100 points, a minute later same thing, etc.

I started this about 8:30 this morning where the score was about 70K. I let it run and run thinking it would eventually blow out the log or itself but it never did! I finally stopped it about 7pm because I needed my iPad back and I also didn’t want to take a chance of the level crashing! I had that happen a few times this morning before this try. The score was at 274150 and still counting when I took a screenshot and threw in Han towards the remaining left log pile and directed his lasers to the top left Trooper pig.
Here’s a screenshot of the trajectory showing how the AT-ST was positioned and shooting steadily at that circle log:

http://angrybir.de/1hQr14x

As you can see his blaster is in direct contact with that log and he just continued to fire away! It was kind of hard to just STOP the level while the points were still easily flowing but…like I said, I didn’t want to be greedy and have something go wrong before capturing this score:-)

Good Luck to @ all who have the time and patience! I’m not sure how easy it would be to get him back in this position as I haven’t tried again but what can be done once…can usually be repeated!

@amslimfordy , @birdleader , Why the inconsistency with limiting scores? I don’t mind that my score of 528,060 for MoE 5-29 was limited to 250,000 or that scores for MoE 5-20 were limited. My opinion is that it made others with lower scores more competitive. I think the same should be applied to MoE 5-15. The score for MoE 5-15 was achieved exploiting the same bug as the two levels that limits were imposed upon. Maybe I am missing some other aspect that would differentiate MoE 5-15 from the others. It just seems to me that a level with a score that is 118% of the next highest score and 364% of the three star score should be evaluated using the same criteria as the other levels where players had to sacrifice points.

I think I would tend to agree with @wicket182 that if you’re going to limit any of the MoE levels, you should place a similar limit on all of them. And as a point of note, I agree with limiting them as you have done for the sake of competiveness.

After almost 10 years, I came back to replay these levels. They were as fun to me now as they were then.

For this level, the trick is getting the AT-ST to fall AND then also to have it fall aiming very low AND into the round end log, AND, more importantly, to not explode.

As mentioned in one of the posts earlier, timing the fall so that both ropes suspending the pig are cut by the lasers seems to bring the highest success rates.

For my sanity, I stopped worrying about the 5 round logs with the long one over them and went straight to the suspended log. (I figured that if the anomaly would work, the extra points from those logs really didn’t matter.) I used the force aiming just above the two TNT boxes to get everything to fall right. The round end log was actually split into small pieces before the lasers began shooting into them. And as others have pointed out, I waited for a few minutes and then the points from the anomaly started. From the time that the accumulation started, until I stopped it at 385,000 took a bit over two hours.

My final score is 407570.

I firmly believe that the logs in this level were conspiring against me. Aim, launch, activate, see the log moving perfectly and rapidly towards the target at at , then see it slow and ALMOST pivot over. If I had better resolution I would have recorded it, magnified it, and examined it closely to see if the logs were growing little hands and grabbing each other. At any rate, the video strat worked for me.

1st: My apologies to @lesleyg for exceeding her score for this level. My intent, when I realized the anomaly was actually in play, was to come in just slightly below her score by 4-5K. My dog decided he wanted to go outside with about 15 minutes to my cutoff point when I realized that I did not take into consideration the bonus for the unused bird. So I hurried back into the house and immediately shot Hans popping the top pig. Unfortunately, Hans did some damage to the round logs and the AT-ST kept shooting until the level timed out. Otherwise, I would have been close to meeting my goal of being less than AngryAdvisor’s score. I say this because AngryAdvisor was very generous in not wanting to rack up a ton of points (which would have been very easy to do), so I thought I would do the same.

2nd: I used the @maxim-barybin strategy with the following exception, I used the top pig (slightly behind +/-) as my touch point for ObiWan. This touch point on my iPad 1 seemed to give me more success in getting the AT-ST not to self destruct as much. BTW- fully zoomed out. Attached is a picture I took with my iPhone (did not want to risk a mishap with a screen shot), which is striking resemblance to AngryAdvisor’s picture of the position of the round log relative to the AT-ST. I was able to get the same relationship the night before two times with one a no go and the other a very limited anomaly (~20K). The score roll up was exactly as AngryAdvisor described with a rate about 1000 points a minute. I actually shut down my Wi-Fi router to prevent any potential issues as my iPad 1 is prone to crashing after a bunch of resets.

3rd: It is my belief that extremely high scores, using the anomaly on this level, can be achieved by more people and that the score should be capped as @to-walking-tall and @wicket182 suggest. 250,000 seems like a fair and reasonable limit. Also, it is comparable to the cap that was implemented for level 5-29. Also, I recommend that @lesleyg be anointed with the #1 spot as was done in level 5-20 because she was the first person to discover the anomaly.

Then after a five-minute pause at about 105K, it picked back up, adding points at 9K per minute, until the AT-ST shifted again and destroyed itself.
