Join the birds in one last fight against the Empire! Angry Birds Star Wars Death Star 2 (v1.5.0) is now available for iOS, PC, Mac, and Android via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore, with more platforms coming soon.
This update includes:
- 30 levels on the (partially) rebuilt Death Star! But before you can board, get past an Imperial Star Destroyer. Our walkthroughs will are live and can be found here.
- 2 Bonus levels: The 12th star level unlocks at 800 stars, and the eleventh droid is hidden somewhere in these 30 levels. Our Droid and Bonus Levels Guide is there if you need help.
- 4 new achievements for iOS. Let us know if you discover any hidden achievements along the way!
- 6 SW characters to unlock!
- New Element! Rotating laser cannons can help you destroy most levels!
- Boss Fight! Truly one for the ages, battling Darth Vader and the Emperor!
- Lard Vader unmasked! Find out who’s behind the mask in the big finale.
Facebook App Being Discontinued
To all fans of the Star Wars Tournament on Facebook, the countdown has begun. The Facebook app will be discontinued on March 3rd, 2014. This will mark the first time that a non-promotional and non-trial Angry Birds game has been nixed by Rovio. In the meantime however, enjoy 50% off all Power Ups in the SW:FB game! And all our tournament walkthroughs are still there for you!

By the way the credit purchase option on SW-FB is closed. The chance to purchase closed… and the PU’s at 50%? Waste your savings!

We only know that the star wars tournament in its current form will be discontinued in a few months.
Will it be replaced by ABSW2? Will there be a new kind of tournament? We will have to wait and see.
@amslimfordy: I think it’s impossible that there are hidden achievements. Hidden achievements are always listed in Game Center. The only difference is that hidden achievements have no description.
I wonder if the super high scoring levels in Moon of Endor will remain in this update…. I might have to try 5-29 again before updating!
What a great month, Rovio!!!! All the new releases, updates and games does represent that Christmas has come early for an Angry Birds fan. Wow, just so many choices and not enough time to play but will eventually get to the new levels. Thanks, greatly appreciated.
Not yet available on Amazon AppStore (paid version, ad-free) as of Dec 17, 2013. Dying to play it but refuse to go back to the barrage of ads in the free version! Anxiously waiting…
I have the Amazon version, but got tired of having to log on to Amazon every time I wanted to play. I also don’t always have internet, so I installed the Google version. For Star Wars only, mine is still ad free, and has been since the last few updates. I wish it worked with Seasons, but the Amazon version of Seasons seems to be a separate file from the Google version. (Unless there was an option to buy in the Google version that I forgot about, and that’s why I’m ad free).
I wish I could have my ad free version of Seasons, but so far there hasn’t been a Google option for that one. It really stinks that I paid for ad free but can’t use it because of the Amazon internet requirement.
I despise that idiotic “phone home” gibberish from Amazon too. I have found that if you do the “stay signed in” thing through the appstore app then AB Seasons doesn’t prompt all the time. It still periodically “forgets” who you are and you have to log in again though – I think that’s just Amazon’s flakiness.
I have to agree.. it is getting quite obnoxious with the amount of ads and the frequency of them. Not going to go into the politics of needing them for a free version, but they are getting more and more intrusive into the game’s actual playability.
I can only play AB on my G3 after turning off the network connections (wifi and mobile).
Yeah I’ve purchased the ad free versions of every game, so I really hate having to suffer through them on Seasons without going into airplane mode. I wish there was a way to get rid of them with Google Play, because I have stopped buying anything from Amazon. I can’t even use my paid version of WeatherBug Elite because I can’t seem to get it to log on to Amazon when I’m using it. I really despise Amazon. There were so many programs I bought through them, and now I can’t use them most of the time unless I repurchase them through Google.
Update: The Amazon Appstore app had an update, which I applied last night. This morning I had 2 update notifications from it, and one was AB Star Wars. 90-ish seconds later…Death Star 2 levels are here!! I have no idea if the new AB release required the Appstore update before it could display, or if it was just coincidence. Actually I don’t really care, as long as I now have the game to play :-)
Have just finished Death Star 2 in Star Wars, now need to go back and 3 star some levels. The final level is quite interesting but did manage to 3 star it. Certainly an interesting month for Angry Birds fans.
Level 6-14 keeps freezing on my Android Galaxy SIII. I have completed it several times, but it freezes up and I have to put my phone into sleep mode. When I go back to the game, it is unfrozen, but the level is shown as though I haven’t played it.
6-25 is freezing up on me too. I have restarted my phone, but it hasn’t helped.
They have added Power Up Pop Ups to this game too! Why Rovio? Why? How much longer before all the games are infected with the accursed things?

I’m also not to pleased that they are announcing this as the final episode. Meaning no more updates. Meaning they aren’t going to go back and add in Jabba’s Palace (the episode I was looking forward to the most when the game was first announced).
@sntrooper I hate those pop ups too. I I wanted to use a PU, I’d use one. I don’t need them telling me to use them. I am forever swiping the screen and getting the pop up as I swipe. It’s almost as annoying as ads.
IK! Why did they add the PUPUs in the first place? Really bad idea. Now pretty much every AB game has PUPUs, this is getting a little out of hand.
I hate the PUPUs as well, but what I really don’t get is why there’s a picture of Yoda offering them? I’m pretty sure that according to Yoda, to the dark side using PUs leads :D Guess they should have used Emperor Palpatine instead.
And I thought the Moon of Endor levels were hard……
Wasn’t that bad but a little tough in some levels. I found the Cloud City to be the hardest one.

Just finished it and I loved the ending using Vader as your last bird was fun. Finally I don’t have to listen to people saying vader is a pig.
So my favorite game got it’s grand finale. I can’t wait to see cut scene when Darth Vader reveals his face, looks so dramatic. Hope it is not very difficult as I am sure it is challengable.
As I commented in an other article I still have lots levels to finish and many to improve, I guess U’ll take this one as priority, then I’ll leave it forever. It WAS fun to play.
@cosmo2503 It’s really sad to see it end, but I guess it had to happen sometime, and it was great fun while it lasted!
Some of these levels are incredibly tough! I’ve used up all my Falcons and I’m still stuck on 6-14. I’m sure I’ll get it eventually, but yeah… difficult stuff is difficult!

Rovio might add some ‘mini’ updates to the game, so I’m going to keep mine.
What a difficult final episode that was….glad I got that done. There was no point keeping the game on my Mac anymore after getting that done so taken that off. That was fun though. Going to wait until Angry Birds Star Wars 2 come on the Mac. Could play it on my Nexus 7 but its more focus on my Mac like I had with Angry Birds Star Wars original.
I noticed that a lot of the walkthrough videos call Lando Calrissian “Mace Windu” and Luke Skywalker “Anakin.”

PC update 1.5 kills all sound, sound works with the original install. Do I need updates 2,3 and 4 first?
There shouldn’t be any difference. Maybe backup your data and try a fresh install?
