Fired just little lower on the left structure so the beam picked up the platform and dropped it. After a number of tries, it broke the platform and the other two also fell over for 150k.
Great tip @dmsral! It took me a few ties to get the right spot, and then several attempts … finally the left platform fell just as you said, helping my score greatly. Thanks!
@dmsral @furfeather — Congrats on the great scores! Any more detailed tips on exactly where to aim the beam? So far, when I get the left platform lifted, it just falls gently back on its supports, and doesn’t even create as much damage as the video, although it is more likely to kill all the pigs.
@mvlna2, I aimed the beam at the right bottom horizontal wood board. This catches a bit of the platform beneath it and lifts the platform up. Most of the time, as you said, the platform settles back down and doesn’t do much. But, evey once in a while, ithe platform breaks. This is a rinse and repeat level!
Typo: @mvnla2
@MVNLA2, I aim as close to the point where the vertical wood meets the horizontal wood. There’s a magic spot there somewhere, keep trying! Probably less than 5% success rate, for me, but you’ll know it when you see it.
@dmsral @furfeather Thanks for the tips! Have gotten the left tower to break a couple of times now, but of course, the right tower didn’t fall.
It seems that for the left tower to break, the large stone ball near the bottom needs to be thrown up through the structure so it comes down hard on the platform.
Whoot! Actually did it, for 156K!!! Sorry @furthfeather; actually did better than you, but if I can get 156K, so can you.
You guys are blowing past me with my tips, I better get busy. Up to 160k.
That worked really nicely. 163,660
Thank you for a splendid strategy! @dmsram
I just performed swap of your strategy in Lando.
Then the probability that could achieve 1-birder slightly rose.
Brilliant! Thank you for the platform tip, worked great after many attempts.
I used Lando aim at the stone block on top of the white boxes. Fire his blaster right before impact though the right side of the left platform. The shots need to take out the right leg so the whole thing drops. Then just wait and hope that the white boxes fall to the right just right so everything falls to the right.
Tried the strategy of lifting & breaking the left platform for over half an hour; then decided to try a quick & dirty swap. Used the Tuscan Raider. Flung him into top border of wind tunnel and shot out leftmost support column of the left platform. Score on first try of this method was 156,610. (note: don’t try shooting out the right support of the left column; it bumps up against the center platform and stabilizes itself). This does not produce as high a score as the Padme Platform lift; but it’s much simpler to achieve. I’ll keep trying to succeed with that method; but this option made a big difference in my high score in the mean time.
For more consistent dropping of left platform without swaps:
Zoom all the way in and aim Leia so that she takes a lower arc and impacts the upper metal rim of top turbofan. Trigger her force push at the already mentioned right angle of left structure. Wait as long as possible to trigger the force push.
