Angry Birds Space Red Planet Level 5-13 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Red Planet level 5-13 is to launch Bomb Bird high, outside the gravity field, between the fist stone column and the geyser. The bird should land on the horizontal wood block. The explosion should destroy all the pigs except the left two. Use the second Bomb Bird to clear the level.

Shoot the second bird on the same trajectory as the first for lots of extra destruction, and then use the third bird to take out the pig(s) in the front. The threshold is very low here; it took only a couple of attempts to reach 128k, and much more should be possible.

I got 130 000 K’s throwing 1’rts birdie to the volcano between mid and left : the the second birdie in the same trajectory . Use the last one to the front . That’s it . Good lock !!!

136,450. This came out of nowhere. My previous high was 129k and I was just hoping to pass 130k. But I had been playing this a lot trying to figure out the nuances of the level.

1st bird: Shoot outside of the gravitational field and into the steam so it comes back down and hits the far pile of blocks, wood, and pigs. There’s a lot of room for error with this shot and I didn’t see much difference if I shot it low or high. But you want to try to destroy as much of the left side of the far pile as possible and hope that the blocks that are left don’t keep falling and get spread out. I usually let the bird automatically explode.

2nd bird: For this shot I shoot it low, about 1/3 of the way between the gravitational field and the red rock at the top that’s to the left of the steam so it goes over to the remains of the far pile. For the best scores you want it to explode so that the blocks get launched to the right and stay within the gravitational field. You’ll get more points this way as opposed to the blocks disintegrating upon explosion, or going outside of the gravitational field and into outer space. After this shot, if my score plus the score of the remaining pigs (at 5,000 pts each) is less than 105,000 then I’ll restart. The goal is to end up with 125,000+. On my 136k, I had 101,000 and 3 pigs left for 116,000. I knew I’d end up with a good score as long as I didn’t flub the 3rd shot.

3rd bird: I always shoot it at the center of the middle horizontal block in the first column and let it automatically explode. It should usually blast right through and settle in the bottom of the “V”. The explosion should kill any remaining pigs, but not always. A good shot here should yield about 20k in collateral damage.

@dark-cloud, Nice Score!!! These are pretty much the same shots I took. A few things I noticed were that I seemed to do better with a slightly lower first shot too. Basically the same first two shots as your second…aiming lower. The key to the second shot is also to make sure the BB goes past the mountain points to get the far right left over debris.
For my third shot I either hit it like you described or got great results with aiming it at the left of the geyser, about at the right tip of the long left piece rock sticking out so that it lands between first cement column and the helmet pig column. Either shot seems to have to same amount of points.

I like that 3rd shot too @lesleyg. I seemed to actually get slightly better results but I kept on missing it so I stuck with shooting it straight into the horizontal block.

Great strategy, @dark-cloud,. This is basically the same method I’ve used in this level, too. Right now I’m close to 130K, and I’m looking up at your score in awe!

It’s important to remember (not always), but levels with bomb birds usually yield higher scores when using all the birds. That is certainly the case here.

The main tip that I would add is for the second bird. I found that I had better destruction if I threw the second bird as soon as possible after the first shot. The goal of this is get as much debris as possible before it spread out too much.

Great strategy @dark-cloud with good tweaks from the dynamic duo of @AngryAdvisor and @DocTonyNYC! Here’s how I got to 130k:

Shot 1 I went low above grav field. It seems to me you want to strike the right structure low, which helps the structure collapse inward to the left. If your shot takes out the 3rd pig from the left before hitting the structure you’re on track.

Shot 2 also low and quick, just like dark-cloud, AA and DocTony described.

Shot 3 the only wrinkle I can add is if the pig above the grav field remains, aim for the bottom horizontal stone on the left tower. That way you can get under more stones to throw upwards at the orbiting pig. Works often, but not always.

Overall, an enjoyable level!

@pourpete: This is a great strat! Finally 3-starred this level and working on improving above average. I came to the same conclusion about where to aim shot 3 to pop bubble pig, since I rarely get him on shot 1. :)

Well, shoot @mvnla2, don’t know quite what to say. Tried to follow strat laid out by @dark-cloud above, but to be real honest, I couldn’t understand what the heck he was talking about! I had some kinda stroke this morning, and I don’t even know WHO I am, never mind where I am or what I’m doing….guess this must be how @surfcow feels every day, but as I was haphazardly flinging, I accidentally threw BB#1 into the volcano, and suddenly realized….yes, I am THAT stupid…that the flow would send me where I needed to be. And that’s what I did. First bomb into crater, taking out entire right structure and the pig hanging there in space like some trapeze artist gone mad, then 2nd bomb into first structure taking out all that mess. 3rd bird was just a “blow up as much stuff as you possibly can” low arc into the volcano flow, just barley out of gravitational field which landed him under the debris on the right and TADA, bulls-eye, or when pigs fly?? yeah, that’s it. Now, if I could just get an at least average score on the rest of this planet, I could go back to killing zombie pigs on facebook where I can’t get an average score because I refuse to use power-ups. Does this answer your question? What was the question, anyway? Do YOU remember?

Oh, @mvnla2 and @scooter compete with @surfcow? MOI? No.I would never do that to that poor unsuspecting innocent. He’s just a surf in cow clothing, or a pig in bird clothing? or a mechanic posing as a county-western singer. Something like that. But if I were to “compete” with him, he would be so embarrassed that he would have to change his avatar and plead language barrier to escape. Seriously though, he is in a league of his own when it comes to clever banter….I am not worthy to even shine his bald pate in that arena. But the more important issue here is: were you able to increase your score??

After re-reading my post, I guess it can be a little confusing @twylatime. In the part about the points, I was trying to say that I restart after the 2nd shot unless my points are at a certain level. But to summarize, just shoot 3 birds and try to get a high score! lol. You must have been doing it right since 135k is a pretty good score. Happy flinging!

Last two shots into the volcano for destruction of remaining debris to the right. I can not get to 130K but results are generally 120K and above.

well round two and I have still been unable to improve more than 500 points. there has to be a strat that can get above 132k. the only key variable I have noticed is the lava rocks. they produce massive points when debris lands on them especially that pile in front of the sling. just can’t manage to string together the shots to capitalize on it.

3. Quickly fire the Bomb Bird into the remaining pile of stone on the right.
