Our strategy for Red Planet level 5-10 is to launch Lazer Bird north, redirecting the Lazer bird through the Helmet pig in the northwest corner of the level. Causing that bridge to fail and exploding the fiery asteroid in the middle should clear the level entirely.

New Event – Neon Sunstreaker
@austinrhl : Can you do me a favor? Can you copy/paste your previous comment (11:53am) as a new one? I removed the minimum-hunting thread, leaving this as an orphan. Let me know :)
Interestingly, the one-bird collapse seems to yield way more than just 10k additional points. Until I read the walkthrough hint, I was coming in from the east, which doesn’t take out the north bridge. Using the second bird to take this out from below never got me above 89k, and I usually got 86k or below. By contrast, my very first one-bird attempt got me 105k, and I don’t think I even took out any of the crystals. So I guess the simultaneous collapse improves the destruction greatly.
109850 – using the walkthrough. I wonder why the total collapse won’t work from the bottom? I know the rigth side approach is not good either.
I wish there were a a way to get a crystal or two!
If you take a closer look, that is the path of least resistance, enough for the lazer bird to pop the helmet pig & break the board, collapse the stuff onto the fiery asteroid and trigger the chain events.
“pleased” (!) to see I wasn’t the only one frustrated by coming in from the right. I usually try to 3-star before looking at walkthroughs but having spent an age on this level and not getting above 2 stars I succumbed. I feel slightly deflated that a simple 1 bird shot works so well. But it’s my own fault I suppose for not trying it earlier! Ho hum, still – on to level 11….!!
Just as a note the east side one bird shot is possible, shoot to the south and the very instant the bird is clear of the far southeast wood triangle (clear meaning the bird will be able to pass by it without hitting it in a direct line to the NW platform holding up the helmet pig, buried pig and pig with the antenna on his head) Fire the LB targeting the NW platform, the bird should miss everything but the thin wood platform holding up the right side structure, pass through and the gravity of the NE planet should pull the LB enough to have him collide with the NW platform at the same time that the right structure s collapsing causing the chain reaction. FYI the shot in the walkthrough video is far easier and results in slightly higher scores so it’s probably not worth it to try this shot since it’s difficult to hit perfectly, but it is possible!
Nice score @goavs4! Did you by any chance manage to hit one the crystals with this score…also was your 114,100 score achieved with this alternative strat or like the walkthrough?
Thanks @lesleyg! I did not hit any crystals for this score so a top score on this level, assuming crystals can be hit, could be near 120K.
I shot like the walkthrough, not my alternative strat. The difference for my score was that the LB managed to immediately penetrate the wood plank and bounce off the center fire-asteroid (NOT setting it off) then the LB went to the right and caused the right-hand side of the level to begin collapsing. Of course this all happens in a fraction of a second so the top left and right sides impacted the fire-asteroid at almost the same moment, setting it off and collapsing the final bottom platform causing lots of collisions and explosions and destroying most of the charcoal like pieces usually left in the center. Once when getting the LB to immediately pass through the plank I even had one of the bottom right wood triangles bounce out and almost get a crystal which would have netted me probably a 116-117K total score. The only thing for sure that seems to lead to a faster pass through of the plank is a shallower angle of attack (i.e. attempting to hit the weak spot more from the left side of the screen than the top) Hope that helps!
Thanks @goavs4. I have also been coming in from a more left angle then top so I know exactly what you mean. Now I just need one of the triangles to hit the cyrstals…so close ;-)
When I try this method, I consistently get 5-6K LESS than the other method, and I was successful about 8-10 times.
@goavs4 Exactly where is the weak spot? Most of the time when my lazer bird hits the helmeted pig, the plank does not break. Any tips on angle of approach would help. A screen shot would be fantastic.
@hidayat1999 Any additional tips for a really high score?
@mvnla2 I believe the weak spot is just under the small “charcoal” piece on the left end of the plank. I uploaded a screen shot for a ~110K score http://angrybir.de/PckfX1 To get higher scores you need to come in at a lower angle (i.e. if the catapult is the center of a clock face, the screenshot was at ~1:30 or 2, for the higher scores you need to be at more like 2:30-3) Hope that helps a bit, once you get the angle though it’s still not a sure thing, like almost every AB level, even with a perfect shot it’s repetition and patience combined with luck to get that high score! Good luck!
@goavs4 — Thanks for the detail. Hope it helps others as well.
I got 106k going through the east way but it’s been a LOT easier following the walkthrough. I noticed that debris would never hit the top cluster of pigs and stones, so when I shot it from the east, I lasered it at an angle so it shot diagonally and broke the board holding the top pigs and stones, and everything fell and I got 106k. So good luck and have fun with this very creative level! :)
i got 108320 by orbiting the planet going south first, then hitting it in the same spot as the video, it gives you more time to target the laser.
I got 111160 from the very first shoot after watching video. You guys are helping hand, thanks. Very cool solution, I couldn’t find that weak spot on myself.
I’m a little suspect gf the top score. 112-114 seems upper limit and require all debris to be cleared. I just don’t see another 4k unless the is an alternate strategy.
I don’t think it is impossible. You could get lucky and get one or two of the crystals as well.
That must be it. But it seems no-one with a high score wil comment.
I managed 111320 with the same strat as the video. I guess the higher scores of 114K+ are with getting atleast one crystal. I have tried various angles to try and get one of the crystals but no go. I guess it’s a matter of luck having a piece of debris like one of the wooden triangles on the SE side hit the crystal. I’ve had it come close. Anyone care to share if they have managed to get any of the crystals?
I got very close to 114k but I didn’t hit any of the crystals. At the end of the round there was still a magma piece flying around and it blew up a big cluster of rocks, leaving almost nothing in the middle of the level. Just a very lucky shot.
That’s what happened to me too. It’s funny how I get it in my head that a way I am trying is the way to go (e.g., attacking from the east). After watching the video I got my score on the second try (no crystals hit). Have to be more flexible I guess.
I’m quitting at 111,000 just because it’s such a neat number! I’ve never had one with three stars end in a triple zero before.
Yeah! I got 114250 w/1 bird
I followed video strategy. And it is the best way to go.
But I’m little lucky. One of the flying debis hit the crystal. And I got extra 3000 points. :)
@goavs4 indicates above that 114k is possible without hitting crystals. That is wow indeed. I assumed any score above 113k would involve a crystal. My score of 112500 was managed without hitting a crystal. Incidentally, I have not been able to clear the level 3star while hitting a crystal at all. I assume that requires quite a great amount of luck, something I don’t have much of in Angry Birds, unfortunately…. ;-)
114990 same as walkthrough. I think difference is in how much rattling around pieces do, and how much coal gets destroyed.
@kelani
I would rather say that the difference lies in having one fiery debris that hits the infalling coal from the bottom platform. Usually, all fiery debris are gone when these coals reach the center. But on a lucky fireroid explosion, one part can go in the right direction and destroy these coal chunks.
I used the basic video approach but found @goavs4 tip of going lower at 2:30 point on a clock or even lower helped with higher scoring :)
Thanks @goavs4 :)
Followed the ABN video strategy. Noticed a difference in the fiery astoriod destroying more wood and a few of the dark rocks for a higher score. It was like a late hit by a piece of the asteroid.
A rare double today. This was the daily challenge and one of my daily missions in Space. Literally hundreds of attempts and managed to increase a whooping 110 points using @goavs4 approach. So much luck involved. Moving on.
@mg516 – Also improved but just can’t break into the 115K. For what it’s worth I’ve found that sending the bird backwards and curving him back round so he passes just under the top planet, almost touching it, gives the best results. Primarily did it this way as it gives more time to aim and tap on the left side of the plank, but perhaps it helps with the angle too? Regularly get scores of 112-113K K this way, and had lots of scores in the 114K range too.
116060/1
I’m not claiming a puppy because I have no tally page with this score on to display. Having lost a puppy a couple of weeks ago because my phone failed to record the correct page, I thought what the hell and reverted to Bluestacks. I recorded a single shot coming in from the top through the helmetted pig and just ran that same shot 600 times. This was the best score. A bit depressing, but actually there are very few levels on which this works so it’s not my intended modus operandi in the future because I won’t get the puppies I want unless I stare at the screen for hours on end.
I presume I must have taken out at least one crystal to get this high.
Apologies to all, but it won’t affect your chances of getting a pup (which I estimate from empirical evidence could be about 1 in 600 per shot).
Screenshot to follow (I would like the trophy if I can’t have the pup).

High score can be seen on this page
@sweetp
I feel your pain but not sure why you couldn’t get a screen shot? Anyway I believe as noted by @sglouk that it’s the stones breaking that makes up the score. I haven’t broken one crystal in any attempt so far although I was trying to get a boulder from the top left to fall to the left. Never happened. Keep going. BlueStacks is really the only way to do these random number generators.
Ps. Your unproven high score could actually now be a barrier to future daily challenges on this!
My high score is proven, the screen shot is the proof. It just doesn’t fit the Daily Challenge rules which I accept. If I was trying to cheat the system then I’m pretty sure I could forge either screen shot. But I’m not and I won’t. I haven’t spent 9 years in the Nest to betray the trust of you, the other daily flingers who I trust and respect.
Anyway, as I said, I’ll be back on the phone for the Daily Challenge for most days and hopefully I will get over my troubles in getting the correct screen shot.
117k like the walkthrough; I aimed a bit higher although I don’t know that it made a difference.
Most of the small rocks were destroyed which must be where the points come from. I didn’t get any of the crystals.

Oh. Wow. So well done. 👍😁👍😁
116390 with one bird.
Same as in the video. There is a definitive random factor here, as the level of destruction does not seem that much for a 86k score (+3 birds). Or am I missing something?
There is even a wood stuff left.
Anyway here is the final result.
And this is the highscore screenshot.
All the screenshots are also available in high res here in one set.
@sweetp
Trophy polished for you @karen68. Awesome score. It proves that if anyone did fluke a crystal then 120k might be possible. But I’m not coming after you – better that someone has the trophy without recourse to using a macro I think. No, I’m not trolling…
