Angry Birds Space Pig Dipper Level 6-18 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Space Pig Dipper level 6-18 is to send the Ice bird into the bottom of the boat, causing it to freeze and self-destruct. The points here are very important. Toss the Orange bird up, manually triggering its expansion to throw debris into the bubbled pigs beside it. The score in the video below is 87,420.

Manually freezing the boat seems to be the surest way of ensuring enough damage.

Nothing special here, do it like on video and you’ll be a happy camper, just make sure you don’t use more than 2 Birds, otherwise your score will be Blaaaahh.

Whatever you do here, forget the red birds as clean ups. Worthless IMO.
92440 similar to the video. Those two pigs at the bottom are a real PITA.

By Liam

Really frustrating when I have nearly 70K showing, and one pig remaining. Usually one of the bottom ones. Time to put it up for the evening.

Still can’t open the videos, but is an observation:

For my highest scores (92k+) I aimed the first bird low, just barely missing the pigs on the bottom. Trigger it just before impact to create an ice asteroid which should explode when it hits the boat, and cause it to break up. This result is a bit random and you may have to try several times to get the the best result.

Wow, thanks for the tips @f91jsw. I tried it your way and got 93500 my very first try :-) The whole bridge got beaten up and some of the cement floated down to the bottom and got those two pigs and all the “plant” points. I only had the top three pigs left. OB took care of those.

I used the modification offered by @f91jsw and started to occasionally achieve ~35-37K on the first shot (one of the stone blocks from the boat would fall down to take out the stubborn bottom dwellers). I was stuck around 92K until I added another twist by launching the second bird as quickly as possible after icing the first. The result was more debris flying around above the water while the snowball was still detonating and bouncing around. Was VERY surprised to see the high score as this was my very first attempt with the rapid second shot.

I never listed the strategy I got my first place score on because it was the basically the same as @SuicideSolution. But since it is the daily challenge today, I’ll elaborate. I try to get close to the pigs on the first shot, but not super close. Activate just prior to contact with the bottom of the boat. Second shot should be aimed just above the two vertical stone blocks. Don’t activate too close or the stone blocks will not be projected above the ship. You want these stone blocks to do damage, then disintegrate themselves. Lots of points there. I shoot the second shot fairly fast but you want to allow some time for the ship to break in two, with the left half moving closer to the left tower. This enables the stone blocks to do maximum damage. Don’t wait too long. I tried this strategy just prior to posting this and would have scored 97,300 if the ships’ pig that fell to the underwater planet had died. This would have beaten my high score, so it’s definitely beatable. Good luck to all.

@suicidesolution, I have both you and @f91jsw to thank for my 5th place score tonight, launching the bird as close as possible to the bottom pigs and freezing prior to impact, then launching the second bird before the dust settles from the first shot. Outstanding!

@mvnla2 – I’ve played this level 6-18 a lot and even let it sit for a while – I have not noticed any glitch, instability or self-destruction for this level. Difference could be that @pjng plays on the Android Tablet…I have an iPhone. So it could be with issue with the Android OS.

I made a couple of slight modifications to the walkthrough – 1st bird to the bottom, I aimed for the bottom point of the centre inverted stone tringle, allow the bird to hit the boat so it freezes a bit of it, the bird bounces back slightly & I activated it away from the boat so the ice boulder bounces back up to the ship to hopefully start the destruction. 2nd shot like the video, except I inflated OB slightly before impact, I found it threw more debris outward. I also launched the OB right after the 1st shot, the flying debris often helps break up the boat, including exploding the ice boulder if it is still intact.

98400. First shot nearly touching the underwater pigs, activate as it almost touches the boat. The ice ball should nestle inside the boat and explode there. Second shot to the tower, quickly after the ice ball explodes. The aiming line for shot 2 at the top of the horizontal bricks, with the line still going upward through the bricks. Trigger almost as it touches the tower.

Nothing much to add to @burpie‘s comment, except that IMHO, activation timing for 1st bird is crucial in order to increase the odds to break ship apart after this (see @karen68‘s comment). Activate too early and too many parts are iced and the ship does not break apart too often. Activate too late, and the ice ball rolls to the right and does not nest where it has to. Whether or not 2nd shot must be done quickly is unclear to me. If you broke the ship completely apart, it does not seem to be that crucial.

Here is the higher top score proof.

https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/sglouk/album/picture/23913/

According to my notes, I beat top score three times after I found the accurate aiming/timing combination for 1st shot. Almost 99k, then 100k, and then an extraordinary 103k. This last score was obtained using quick 2nd shot, so I cannot tell whether the outcome was good thanks to 1st of 2nd shot. All I can say is that (still according to my notes),I had a perfect cleaning of the central part of planet, where every algae and the starfish were destroyed by infalling debris. However, the starfish itself does not give a lot of points (less than 500), so it cannot be the reason. A very good destruction of the ship was probably at work there.
