Angry Birds Space Cold Cuts Level 2-5 Walkthrough

One strategy for Cold Cuts level 2-5 is to freeze the top of the middle circle with the Ice bird. Send the Blue bird at a slightly higher trajectory, splitting through the frozen blocks. The gaps in the circular structure weaken it and gravity will force them to bounce. With a little luck — and time — the right circle may hit the TNT, shooting up, and wiping out the rest of the pigs. If this doesn’t work, try to hit the TNT with the Lazer Bird.

3 star – 45240 pts…

1. Ice bird between first two. Ice will get on both circles. Eventually the first circle will break, killing the pig in that circle.

2.Triple birds to kill the pig in the second circle.

3. Laser bird through the wood block top left of third circle, killing pig in that circle.

You end up with two birds left.

No, the TNT never blows, so you don’t get max points… However, it is a 3-star win.

Aim the first bird towards the last circle. The bird will bounce off the middle one, and freeze it when it hits the last circle. Aim blue bird to crax through both circles. You can get the tnt with the directional bird. If you still have a Pig… Get it with last bird. 3 starz… All debris!

This is about as trick as levels come. Shots are very difficult to repeat because of teh continual movement of the targets and the background. I’m just happy I hit the 3 star requirement.

Tricky level, with patience required. I went the route of bouncing the ice bird off the join between the wood & stone on the middle circle & was able to get the bird to slide between the middle & right to freeze the sides of both. You can wait it out here & rack up some points by letting them move & bump against each other, & usually at least one will break. It’s quite slow though (reminded me a bit of watching the S-15 glitch, just agonizingly slower), & I usually collected a 3-4k from this before flinging the blues to break the ice. Then wait some more for the right one to blow the TNT. Lazer bird to the left circle & pig to finish off.
I scored over 60k twice this way, but with my current score I had to put the ipad down to take care of something while waiting for the TNT to go, & came back to a score of 71k, so debris must have taken out the pig in the left circle, as I didn’t fire the lazer bird. You can wait this one out & with a lot of luck score higher, if the 1st shot breaks both circles you can just wait for the movement to eventually get the TNT, I just don’t have the patience today. :)

It seems that the physics of this level have changed. It used to be almost impossible to crack open the second and third rings on the first shot (that third ring required the blue birds) but that’s no longer so. It took a while to get a reset where the shrapnel would obligingly rest on the first ring, but eventually it did. 86k with one bird.

I can confirm that the laws of Physics have changed for Android. The 3rd ring cracks very soon. It happend twice in 3 attempts.

Unfortunately the laws of Physics for PC are still the same. The 3rd ring never cracks. No matter who many or how few segments I freeze. The “wobbling” is just not strong enough.

I agree with you @burpie. It’s much quicker and easier to destroy rings 2 and 3 with the first shot now. As this becomes common knowledge, I see many flingers joining you in the 80k+ range. I believe scores in the low 90’s are also possible now.

Counting circles from left to right. I shot at the upper intersection of the wood and stone blocks of the second circle using low speed for my current high of 86950. I used max power for a score of 84440. What I’m trying to say is I’m not sure speed is important. What is important is to ice the inside of circles two and three. The stone blocks where they meet the black structure must be included to get self destruction. Then wait. Third circle will eventually bounce into the TNT, hopefully sending debris onto circle one. If it lands on circle one, wait again. If stone is touching wood, it will destroy itself. Ta-Dah, one birder. This can take upwards of eight to ten minutes. Not that long when compared to DZ-4. Good luck flingers, higher scores are out there.

Hi @mvnla2 , so I guess you found the sweet spot again :-)

I have just 2 things to add to @rat9‘s walkthrough:

* I always shoot at full speed – it’s a moving target and the faster I fling, the faster I can reset.

* It’s probably better to get a bounce/ slide that freezes large sections. This might not improve your (low-low) odds for a 1-bird completion, but if you DO get lucky, you’ll get lucky with more points: the frozen sections crumble.

Looking at the scores for 2-bird completions, a one-birder can get anything up to 94k points.

An instability occurs after 8-9 hours, resulting in the explosion of central circle. It may burst other circles, possibly allowing a 0-birder (TBC). A one-birder completion gave me 112k, but I think that 120k is possible, 130k with a 0-birder.

Good luck all!

It started counting up slowly after two hours of nothing in increments of 30-60 points. At the end of 8 hours I had a grand total of 1180 points. Then nothing for 4 hours. I finally gave up and was reaching for my ipad when it exploded. I had my hand in front of the screen and didn’t see the start of the explosion but I did see the remnants as they hit the planet and disintegrated. There were only four or five segments left. Wow! Here is a vid of the instability. For obvious reasons, I removed the first eight or nine hours of the run, where the score very slowly increased from 0 to 1100 pts. Instability is triggered by the destruction of central circle leftmost wooden block which is damaged each time it collides with the leftmost circle.
