On the first shot I aim just a tiny bit lower and scrape the paint off the roof of the locomotive.

I did what @burpie did, with one twist..

I fired my second shot, just like the video, but immediately after the first shot. This lets more of the top debris get snagged by the falling locomotive, which then pulls it to the planet.

Different strategy to walkthrough
This was a one birder
Launch Terrance up and to the right, at about 80 degrees from the vertical, the aiming dots should be just under the lowest brick in the pile beneath the TNT. Terrance should just clip the brick setting off the TNT and bounce down to impact the top of the last car in the train with sufficient force to push it into the gravity well. Then gravity takes over and everything (including all the debris that rained down from the top after the TNT exploded) is crushed as it falls onto the brass wot not in the centre of the gravity field.
Sounds easy, it’s not, but a little luck is always helpful, assuming Terrance is on target to hit the top of the last car in the train, he needs a clear path to maintain enough momentum to push the car into the gravity field. If you come up short LB can give you the final shove. I managed it twice in 50+ attempts.

WTG @Ollygod. Great score. Same approach I used.

@ollygod, I was trying the same bank shot before I read through this walkthrough page. It really is tricky, and a matter of luck to get Terence to hit the top of the train, but I’m still struggling with it. Either Terence gets wedged between the first and second cars which stops the momentum, or the top triangle section gets separated from the rest of the car.

Anyway, my best score so far is using LB to push the train into the gravity field. Here is my video.

Edit: I also marked this as an alternate strategy (blue highlight).

Wow @ollygod!! Nice score! I’ve been trying for the one-birder, but having no luck (whine!). I’m wondering if you might be able to offer more specifics as to the aiming dots and the area below the lowest brick. How much below it did you aim? Left/right/middle? @rat9, do you have any additional tips on this shot?
Thank you both in advance. :)

@rubeeinthesky as I mentioned to @sweetp in the right hand bottom corner of the lowest brick there is a bright spot / highlight, that’s your aiming point plus or minus a few pixels either way. Sling Terrance a few times remembering your exact aiming point, and observe The trajectory Terrance follows, he needs a clear run with no obstructions to slow him up (that’s the luck part) you will know when you have your aiming correct as the explosion launches Terrance at speed. Assuming you manage to get Terrance to push the train into the gravity field you still need a good crush. Easy – not ! Just keep flinging and you will get there.

Thank you for the video @sweetp! It really helped me to narrow down that sweet spot, which for me was closer to the lower left corner of that lowest block. What I noticed was that if the shot is too high (relative to that corner – meaning the aiming dots land more along the left side of the block), Terrance will bolt downwards too soon. If the shot is too low (aiming dots along the bottom relative to the same corner), Terrance goes too high and misses the Loco completely.

I was only successful in pulling off a 1-birder once, and it was for 221k. Higher scores can still be achieved using @ollygod‘s strategy plus a 2nd shot to knock the Loco into the gravity field. My previous best of 226k was also obtained using this method (plus a lot of luck and persistence!).

I’m glad my video help you @rubeeinthesky, and you got an awesome score! I think you’re right about having more than 10k in the remaining debris. I’ll have to return later and see if I can get some luck with that.

@sweetp – great video
You just need to keep slinging and hope that Terrance gets a clear run to maintain momentum. If you zoom in to close up the bottom brick has a small bright dot in the bottom right hand corner. That’s what I used as an aiming point.

Thanks for the aiming tip @ollygod. After about 100 more flings, I finally got it! I didn’t get such a great score as yours or @rat9‘s, but it’s better than average and that’s just fine with me!

@ollygod, had to correct the @mention, it’s @SweetP (no “ee”).
Anyway, wouldn’t you know, the whine factor still works! I flung for about another hour, and here’s the result…my one-birder video!
You’ll notice I had to adjust my trajectory slightly from yours, because aiming directly at the bottom right corner of the block caused Terence to move too slowly because of the debris in the way or at the wrong angle. I’m just happy that I can move on without looking back!

I simply have not been able to get the one-birder despite hundreds of attempts. However, I’m in third place (for now) with a two-birder, so there are more points be had with one bird.

Wanted to take part but having lost all my previous scores to a glitch on Win 10/BlueStacks I’ve had to start again. Brass Hogs is an exasperating level to get any momentum on as it requires the completion of the daily challenge to move along the bus. 😒I hope we don’t get too many of these in future.
