Angry Birds Space Beak Impact Level 8-12 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Angry Birds Space Beak Impact level 8-12 is to send the Red bird into the first Lava rock. Then send the Bomb bird into the bottom Lava rock. The resulting chain reaction should clear all the pigs. The strategy shown yields a score of 78,080.

I’m guessing top score is a one-birder but needed two. 1st to the junction of small lava and rock closest to sling which sent debris to canister with resulting spinning destruction. 2nd to triangle of pigs and debris left close to gravitational field. I tried going straight at canister but not enough destruction. Attempts at lower lava rock were weak for me also. Can’t wait for more imput on this level.

To be honest, no idea how to play this level. Got a 2-birder. First bird like the video. Second bird: don’t try to push everything onto the planet, but but bombbird between the rest of the scene. 95k this way

I got an idea: zoom in, point red one to the LEFT yellow line in the most left asteroid. Then pull back it’s power a little and fling. In the ideal situation -(what is that), the upper tank starts blowing and the lower asteroid is triggered. I think a potential highscore here

@bernersenn That could work. I got my 1-birder flinging into the upper half of that lava-asteroid. IIRC Red hit the canister on the left side, changing its aim a bit more towards the other stuff.

@bernersenn @kelani just hit 100k with one bird, into lower half of the lava in the first asteroid.
BUT the interesting thing I’ve noticed is that the points rack up if you manage to get the ‘asteroids with lava’ into the gravity field on the rightmost planet. How you actually do this, mine have been by accident, is beyond me!

I too got my best score with a one birdie!!! I couldn’t believe the score…it kept going up and up :-) I would have taken a screenshot but I had already had Bomb bird pulled back in the sling ready to shoot him because I previously kept getting better scores with two birds (103710 previous high with two birds).
I was getting ready to release him towards the two bottom big boulders but then I saw them heading towards the gravity circle…they both got sucked in along with mostly everything else!

I aim precisely at the lower orange stripe of the front lava rock. The explosion causes debris to hit the top tank setting it off…meanwhile a piece of lava will go to the bottom lava rock causing it to explode. I’ve gotten many one birdies for scores of 90K – 100K so I had been sending in the Bomb Bird after, to get more debris points…this time, he wasn’t needed ;-)

Wow, a 1-birder on iPad for 105480 with full speed shot to front/upper lava asteroid as @bernersenn, @hunnybunny, @kelani & @lesleyg aka AngryAdvisor all have discovered. This an almost 10k improvement from my best on Android phone & a whopping 16k improvement on my iPad & as AngryAdvisor found, the points kept adding up. The smallest piggie atop what I’ll call a moving metal drill bit, had fallen into the atmosphere to its right & although it wasn’t yet dead, I expected the score to be just under 100k, but once it died the score was over 101k & a small piece of the metal sat on the planet, but things weren’t over yet. There was a small piece of lava asteroid floating around, & just before the level closed, the lava smashed into the piece of metal for another 4k in points & it looked like this: https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/justpast40/album/picture/9628/

@lesleyg @Bernersenn @kelani @Hunnybunny — Congrats to all on your impressive scores! I managed to improve almost 10K following @bernersenn‘s strat, specifically the part about reduced speed. It’s not clear to me if any of the rest of you used reduced power. Also, @kelani — Did you get your high score aiming at the top have of the lava part, or did you end up following Bernersenn?

Rank: Sling God with 21285 points
By AngryAdvisor (@lesleyg)Score: 107,400

Thank you @mvnla2 ;-) To answer your question…I did not use reduced speed. As I mentioned above, I aimed at the bottom orange lava strip. About 80% of the time a piece of the exploded lava will go down and directly hit the other lava rock exploding it but quite often, the tank doesn’t get activated so you just need to reset until the explosion does both!

@amslimfordy, noticed a glitch or self-destruct on this level today. I reset my iPhone for 8-12 and set my phone down to check on dinner. When I came back to the phone, I noticed I had 11460 without throwing a bird. I played with it over and over and sometimes I got 11090 or 11460 (the only two sets of points I saw). Turns out the piggie in the capsule looking spaceship on the right, with the drill, will shake a bit after 3 – 5 minutes, edging his ship down to the right and then fall onto the gravity planet.

I do not see any advantage to the starting extra points as those points calculate in anyway when you get him to fall during the 1st or 2nd bird thrown. I played this level exclusively for about 4 hours today and never saw any real plus in points.

I looked for the self-destructing forum but couldn’t find it so I posted this glitch on the new bugs/glitches forum.

I’ve been finding quite a few unstable levels in Beak2. So far, all of mine were ships with air canisters that start flying around after a reset. Your report makes the first non-canister one, so maybe there’s more going on here. :)

@mvnla2, Sorry, I just saw your post today (2 days later). I can’t remember exactly how often the self destruction on that lower jepack shimmied and dropped onto the planet. I’m checking it now and it appears to happen very reset – just have to wait about 3-5 minutes. The drill is spinning and after a while, the whole jet-pack starts to tip over towards the planet in the gravity field. Then it just slides down. There are only two score variants: 11090 or 11460.

Most often those events are not by developer design – they have actually gone back and fixed most of them. I work in the IT world and self destruction would be an ‘oops’ therefore a glitch that needs repair…just my take. But I will use that particular forum next time. Thanks!
