Angry Birds Short Fuse Level 26-4 Walkthrough

One strategy for Angry Birds Short Fuse level 26-4 is to simply cut the rope holding the magic potion. The potions in Short Fuse imitate the Angry Bird with the matching color. In this case, the Orange Potion causes nearby pigs to inflate to a dangerously large level, similar to the Orange Bird. In this level, the inflating pig should push the towers on his buddies. The score in the video below is 52,090.

The mighty eagle takes a while,I finally got it by shooting first like the video above, then quickly tossing second red at the poor joints on the side of the above hill? And then orange into the middle quickly destroying as much add I could. Then kinda straight up(low) with the tuna can.

You can get over 60K if you get both of the bottom mushrooms too 8) I think it’s up to luck though in how much extra debris you get.

Going directly through the rope, the bird flies off screen where it doesn’t do any good. I get my best scores when I aim just to the left of the rope. The bird bounces off the rock, through the rope, then below for additional damage. .

@bonneypattycat your first instinct on this one might be right. I just scored 65k after red bounced off the upper rock, broke the rope, and then landed on top of the right hand stack of wood. His presence there seemed to keep the expanded pig at ground level longer, resulting in a lot more dammage to the left hand stack of wood blocks and the rusty pipes on the left. And I didn’t even get the 2 hanging mushrooms!

67410 with that. the red got the mushrooms and bounced down, but that was only a minor contribution to the score; main thing was that in this case the deflating pig violently went straight east taking out most of the right half (the vertical stone slab in it ended up damaging the pipe). seems/ed pure luck (repetition) as that had never happened before and i didn’t do anything special this time afaik.

Yes, fling the first bird as for video. While he’s doing his job expanding toss the next bird then very quickly throw third bird low into the upright left structure. Manually expand him after he smashes through. Took couple tries but not that long. Good luck :)

I tried the same method most everyone else used, and finally got a score over 60k, which I was ready to accept and then come here to see how everyone else did, but I decided to try a few times more. Suddenly I saw that I had 71,250. I didn’t have enough time to take a picture, though I have tried to post a copy of the level showing my high score in my album, without much success. (Slim, if you need a copy, I’ll get you one.) I only had a few seconds to see what had made that score so much higher than the others, and the only thing I noticed was that the metal pole on the left had been blown over into the pipe and done some serious damage to it. I didn’t do anything special that I could tell; it was just plain luck.

I just read the comment by @vuelva above, and besides referring to the piece doing the destruction differently (I think stone slab is probably right, but I called it a metal pole), the variation is that mine went did damage to the left rusty pipe and his/hers hit the one on the right. I guess that mine just happened to do a bit more damage. So the message to everyone is to just keep doing the same thing over and over, and maybe you’ll get lucky, too!

it’s “his”. great score. it would be best to do substantial damage to both sides at the same time, but don’t know whether that’s possible at all, so i am not going to test my luck on that.

@vuelva Sorry for the gender uncertainty, but I couldn’t be sure. I may also have done some damage to the right pipe–which would explain the high score–however in the second or so that I had to look before the reset, I only noticed the left side. A good part of the pipe was destroyed. I don’t know how you do so well so consistently, but it’s obviously a lot more than luck!

By to mock a mockingbird (@vuelva)

no need to be sorry: there’s no gender info in abn profiles. when i’m not sure i usually rewrite my reaction before posting to make it gender independent (at the expense of readability). wrt left or right: there are more pipes to the left so it makes sense that that would yield higher scores. wrt to luck; no luck without trying. i try (explore and exploit) a lot.

Rank: Pig Leader with 11855 points
By Snoid (@snoid)Score: 71,520

@vuelva The pipe on the left is definitely longer than the one on the right, and closer, too. To be as high a scorer as you are consistently requires a lot of skill, but you’re right that “luck” can come from repetition. I let my 9-year old granddaughter try her hand at a later level. She didn’t get the bird to go where I suggested, and as a result she found a one-bird solution that had eluded me and beat my high score by about 8k. It took me well over a hundred repetitions to beat her! Who know what she would get if she tried it that many times?

By to mock a mockingbird (@vuelva)

:-). yes, children usually do have an advantage i think: smaller fingers to point more precisely with, an eye for detail (they will spot the ant somewhere on the floor), tireless in repeating something (depending on age; whether that would be a good idea in this case is another matter).

@vuelva, I was just going through some of the Short Fuse levels to try and increase my scores and I stumbled across this post that you wrote in December 2013. You said there was no gender info in ABN Profiles but YES, there is… If you go edit your profile, then click on ‘personal’ and you’ll see a field called ‘Sex’ (male or female)- that is it – another word for ‘gender’.

It is difficult at times to distinguish gender from user’s nicknames on any internet site – some profile names can be really neutral. Hope that helps.

I think I pretty much did the same shot as everybody else has used, shooting at the rope holding up the orange colored potion, and hitting the mushrooms. Not sure why, but sometimes the exploding pig will do so with enough force to pus the stone slab into the metal pipe to its left. Just like @snoid describes in their post above.

@snoid Thanks for the congratulations. I do understand how high scores rarely last very long, have had the few I have gotten beat very quickly most of the time. There were some debris left, so you could regain the high score on this one with another great shot. well, actually a lucky shot, seems like I repeated the same shot that got this good score at least 200 times.

One in a million shot using the strategy which has been first decribed by @bonneypattycat – bounce from the rock and then through the rope. I used the PC version as this requires very high precision aiming. I don’t remember exacly where the bird was landing (I think on the pipe), in any case the inflated pig sort of ran amok and destroyed the right side almost completely and did also some damage on the pipe.
