The Angry Birds Seasons Wreck the Halls update (v2.1.0) is now available for iOS, Mac, PC, Nokia, and Android via the Android Market and Amazon Appstore. Other platforms will be getting the update very soon. This update — which we first leaked about two weeks ago — celebrates the Christmas Season and is very similar to Seasons Greedings in that it counts down like an advent calendar with one new level per day!
Update: Seasons HD (iPad) has received a v2.1.1 update, which presumably fixes the loading issue on 1st generation iPad.
Another Update: HD v2.1.2 has landed and should fix the launch issue once and for all.
This update includes:
- 25 new levels with one new level unlocked every day just like Seasons Greedings and Summer Pignic
- 4 new achievements (Smash 300 cookies; Pass all 25 levels; 3-star all 25 levels; and Score Addict)
- More Golden Eggs to be found (we will update as we find them)
- A “Big Cookie” bonus level that is unlocked when you 3 star every level
- Per Rovio, “on the last day you’ll meet the big pig himself!
Bug Fixes:
- The Trick or Treat Golden Egg Flip-Flop bug (Bug 27) has been resolved! So we may be pushing the Seasons Golden Eggs Leaderboard live soon!
- The Facebook/Twitter Disappearing Stars bug (Bug 28) has been resolved as well.
- Seasons is now 100% bug-free!!!! (Note that the Easter Score Addict bug is not fixable.)
Notes:
- Wreck the Halls 3-star walkthroughs are live. Daily walkthrough pages will go live at 12 AM PST (8 AM UTC), so be sure to check back every day. The actual video will be added to the page as soon as it’s ready, but the page is there for your comments and strategies.
- You must be connected to the internet the first time you play a level (only the first time for each level) so that it can download the level file and check the date (this prevents early access).
- The leaderboards are also live. Again, please be patient with brand new levels; we will update the leaderboards during the day.
Rovio has also released a Gameplay Trailer (seen below) and a Christmas comic. Finally, there is a major update to Chrome Beta, so be sure to check out these other posts as well.

Yeah, it seems to be a play on the jazzy music from the Charlie Brown Christmas special. I listened to it all the way through before I even started playing this morning.
I meant the video’s music.
I was really bummed when I checked the Android Market and there was no update, but the new Chrome update will keep me occupied until the market is updated :-)

This level/day system is not so great, if this update lands to Nokia after two weeks waiting. So I hope it’s coming in few days…

I love the advent calendar 1-a-day style, but Rovio, if you’re going to do this, then make sure all platforms get the update from day 1.

Hey slim, they fixed the new orange birds eyes not blinking in v2.1 yay! this mean they are probably fixing it on Angry Birds Rio too. Kudos for Rovio listening to me LOL. Also did did they fix the sound issue in the Mac version of Angry Birds Seasons?

it’s on the “Wreck the Halls” Level Selection Screen. The regular pig looks like it doesn’t have a face but actually he is just turned around to pick up the present from the Santa Pig.
When you kill a pig it don’t show that you get 5000 points. Is that a bug?
I look at the video walktrought for the first level and there it shows that you get 5000 when you kill a pig. Is it just on Android that bug is?

Yay, orange bird! But did anyone’s app icon change? I have an ipod touch 4, and it is still the ham-o-ween icon. did anyone elses change?

My icon didn’t change and I’m on an iPhone (3GS, iOS 5.0.1)
My iPod Touch icon changed to Wreck the Halls from the Mooncake Festival icon. Mine never got the Ham-o-Ween icon.
I restarted my itouch again, and it changed. Must have something to do with my device. Strange. Well, I’m just thankful for new levels!
It changed in the game center, just not on the home screen. But that’s okay; I like the ham-o-ween icon
Ive been to the market website and tried to install. It said the update will be downloaded to my phone shortly….that was 4 hours ago. In my android market “my apps” page it says the app is not installed but when I search for it it says open. On my amazon “my apps” page the app is there but there is nothing to update. On my adroid page the season app that is listed as “not installed” has the wreck the halls pic….
any Ideas?

I googled it. Other ppl had the same issue with other apps. The fix is to go to the app manager > market> uninstall update. Then it worked.
Now I cant play the ad free game. It blinks and goes back to my apps page. The app with ads no longer has the update….this is nuts.
In amazon, in the my apps section, click on “New” then press “refresh.” After the refresh is complete, tap the Updates available tab. You should see the app, and be able to start the download and install.
I guess no update on the Amazon appstore, bummer.
Should be there soon. Rovio has said it was submitted simultaneously — not sure what the delay is.
