Thanks @steely59 . I determined this 3-star threshold several days ago (while playing the level without Internet connection), and posted it as soon as this page appeared.
I also played the levels in flight mode. I have the 3* threshold for levels 15 and 17 also and a 3k gap for level 16.

I aimed the first bird at the end of the bowsprit so it bounced back and that way you are more likely to clear all the sand. Worth timing it so the pig is moving up the travelator because then the falling stone does more damage.
Second shot: fire straight ahead to kill some wood.
Third shot similar to video: accelerate early and if you get far enough nearly everything is destroyed.
I also used this strat last month when my games were open early. Nice to take 2nd place but I doubt that will last long.

Of course 2 birder possible with first through the rope and second at 45 degrees, over the top, into the bounce pad, but even that method yields higher scores throwing chuck (chucking chuck?) I to the boat for more debris.
Restart after first bird until the second wood panel from the bottom at the stern of the ship falls off. Then throw second bird at that point. That should take care of most of the left part of the ship. Then Chuck at TNT.

Is this even a celebration?
Not sure why this is happening, but I have played this level, and the next three… several times over already, and yet they clear themselves out and I have to start over again. What is really annoying, however, is that Rovio keeps clearing all my cloud downloads, every single time there’s an update.
Anyone else have similar issues?
When through the chain with the first bird. Went low into the wood structure with the second bird. Aimed for the tnt box with the third bird. Got lucky with the destruction for the first two bids on the left side because there was only blocks of wood remaining on the right side.
I bounced the first off the top part of the hanging stone. It bounced back into sand. You need then to wait a second or two for the left side to collapse and hopefully drag a good portion of the centre with it. Used the other two as per @comex666 video. Thank you for that.

Thanks. I’ve also tried the high arc with the 1st to land it on the plank. Works as well as anything else to be honest. Scoring is very random
