Angry Birds Seasons Haunted Hogs Level 1-6 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Seasons Haunted Hogs level 1-6 is cut all three chains using a Yellow bird. Then loop a Boomerang bird over the main structure, spinning it back into the TNT on the right side. The score in the video is 103,310.

I found this level quite annoying, but after quite a few attempts I finally jumped from 102k to 110k. I think the only strategy is to follow the video and get lucky with the collapse. In my case, after the first shot, the thick roof section rolled left over the Frankenpig and its neighbor, which sent quite a few stones cascading down the side of the structure with it. Fortunately, I didn’t miss with the second shot. I don’t know that there’s much advice to give on this level – just wait for a favorable collapse and make sure that you’ve practiced the second shot.

Totally agree, like with many of the harder levels, it depends a lot more on getting lucky with the falls than it does having the perfect strategy. Using the strat here (I try to aim high to take out as much of the chain as I can…not sure if it matters though), I will sometimes get in the high 90’s, but other times well over 110K.

Frustrating, sitting at (currently) #2, but sometimes not even getting 3 stars on attempts that look like they’re executed perfectly. But that’s par for the course here I guess ;-)

This is exactly how I got my score of 110770. The thick wood roof cascaded down to the left along with the Franken pig and his “neighbor”. I think the key to getting this to happen is to send the YB in a high arch to come down at an angle so that the concrete blocks land on the wooden plank at the same time forcing it to yank out. Verses crashing down on seperate locations. This allows for the tumbling action. Here’s a screenshot of the trajectory I used:

I think I finally figured out the puzzle behind this level. At first glance, the three weights dangling by three chains just screams “cut the rope,” i.e. send Yellow Bird on a path that will slice through all three chains so the weights drop straight down and bomb the pigs below. In fact, any other use of that first shot seems like a total waste of time after just a few tries at causing damage to the great pig pyramid. Ahh, but what if your first shot could do the work of both Yellow Bird and the Boomerang Green Bird? It’s all but impossible for Yellow to reach the TNT on that first shot because it can’t get the right angle…. Because the chains are in the way! My Third Commandment says “the best offense is to use your opponent’s defense.” So instead of slicing through all three chains, slice through the first two at about a 30 degree downward angle. Your aiming for the top of the last cement block where it connects to the chain. If Yellow hits that spot with enough force, the bird’s forward momentum will be just enough to cause a pendulum action (it swings to the right) while the bird’s downward momentum causes the chain to snap. Unlike before, where the weights dropped straight down, this time you’ve got that last weight being dropped to the right. Fortunately, that’s about the same spot Green Bird breaks the wood beam and detonates the TNT in that tricky second shot. After just three tries using the alternate approach, the Yellow smacked into the weight, sending it swinging toward right. Then chain snapped, freeing the weight to drop and break the beam protecting the target. Boom goes TNT and I had a one-birder worth ~106K. I guess you can keep killing two birds with one stone. Or you can use just one bird and one stone to kill a bunch of pigs. Aloha.

I’ve hit the weight at the right angle a handful of times, but it hits slightly above where it needs to and crumbles before hitting the sweet spot. I wasn’t sure if my idea was worth posting since I hadn’t been able to pull it off. Glad to know that it is a viable strat and congrats on pulling it off!! :)

Shades of Rio! The chains, the sihlouttes in front… I tried @surfcow‘s method but without results so went back to the tried and true of sending yb thru chains (I agree @G’maBird, cutting the chains higher makes the second shot easier). If boomerang bird misses his mark and hits the triangular stone, wait a sec and see if it doesn’r cause the wood plank to tip up then into the tnt. @Bird-Addict, your wish is my command. After locating the wormhole that Terence and friends used to travel to Utopia, I packed my bags and took a short trip to an alternate reality where I met up with the Surfcow from that universe. He saw what I was up to and said “far out, moo man,” and then he whispered these words: “Get wood first then get high with the green. You need to stutter before reaching first. No U-turn, just go slow to score some blow.” I asked the alternate Surfcow the name of his favorite band. “That’s easy, Fleetwood Mac,” he said, adding, “You’ve got to go your own way. When you break the chain, get ready for the landslide.” Armed with an alternate strategy from an alternate location in the space time continuum, I was optimistic about finally beating the average score for Level 1-6. Translation: send Yellow Bird to break two small wood blocks at lower left, making solo pig drop and pop. Next, send Green almost to top of first chain. Right before Green actually hits the chain, tap quickly like you want the bird to boomerang. This trick causes Green to hit the brakes, but once it hits the chain a split-second later, the bird forgets all about doing a 180 and instead continues toward chains two and three. With some practice and a little luck, you will get this result: dropping blocks cause a landslide to the left, and without support at the base (where Yellow struck earlier) the structure starts to break up. In the meantime, Green’s progress is slowed down by the combination of the “stutter step” and three chains. By the last chain, the bird should be dropping like a rock toward the area right above the TNT. An explosion will make ghosts of any pigs left and put the finishing touch on the collapse of the pseudo pyramid. Will post a screen cap ASAP. Aloha. P.S. Easier shot than the first alternate’s “another brick in the fall.”

If not, delete Angry Birds from your device and download Cut the Rope. Then download the song Tusk by Fleetwood Mac. Aloha.

Not the most exciting level to play, & nothing like a do-or-die shot with the boomerang bird to raise my blood pressure. A key to a high score is the destruction you get down at the front. If you’re lucky some of the falling debris will take out the 2 wooden blocks at the very bottom & cause a lot of tumbling stone to raise your score. With my highest scores I had over 50k after the 1st shot because of this.
On the right side there is a triangular stone block over the TNT. Usually this just falls down & blocks the tumbling wood from the right side after the TNT blows. If you bring the boomerang in high, above the TNT, it’s possible to have it break the top of the diagonal wooden plank & fall right so this stone falls & triggers the TNT & therefore it gets blown to bits & out of the way. I wish I could describe it better, I’ve only managed it a few times but having that block gone helps. Good luck everyone!

I spent WAY too much time on this level, but hopefully what I learned will help others so they can move on and continue to knock me lower in the overall leader board. :-)

Regardless of whichever strategy you use two things are imperative.

1) You get an Excellent collapse of the stone support blocks on the left. Whether you fire the yellow bird high or angled really doesn’t matter. I have achieved scores well over 50k with all methods of dropping the hanging weights first. Given, of course, those support blocks collapse with it. And it does happen. You just need patience and perseverance.

2) You cannot flub your second shot. If you go the route of firing the YB high then you gotta get those block on the right to tumble right while still killing the remaining pigs. If you choose to take out the bottom wood blocks on the bottom left then the boomerang bird has got to both collapse the left support blocks AND drop to set off the TNT.

And as always… Luck of debris destruction.

I manages to increase my score by only a couple thousand – not even coming close to the high scorers, but, in order to keep my sanity, I’ll have to relinquish to others as I am going mad with this level.

Boomerang bird into the tnt box. Got an above average score but couldn’t break 110k.
